Eligibility Of I.C. Exam 2017:

Just like any other government job examination, even the G.I.C. exam eligibility criteria is divided into three categories age, educational qualification and nationality.

Age – According to guideline applicants of age between 21 to 30 years can only sit for I.C. Exam. Age relaxation given to reserve candidate coming in reservation category

It is 5 years of maximum age relation for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes.  3 years of age relation on maximum end is given other backward class category aspirants. Age relaxation is given to Widows, Ex-Army persons and person with disability. To avail benefit of age relaxation candidate has to submit supported document at the time of interview. I.C Exam 2017 Educational Qualification: 

Candidates applying for GIC examination has to hold degree of bachelor from any recognized university. It is the minimum qualification to sit in exam. Bachelor degree could be in any discipline. Here minimum score to apply for exam is 50 percent. For reserve candidate, relaxation is given on minimum score. To have complete and accurate details about minimum cut out for reserve candidate, it is recommended to refer notification.

Nationality or Citizenship – Nationality is another mandatory criteria of GIC 2017 examination. In addition to aspirants of India, even the residents of some other countries too are allowed to appear in exam. Examination Pattern:

The selection process of G.I.C. Officers comprises of three phases. First preliminary test where written exam is taken, qualified aspirants go for second phase i.e. group discussion.
