Complete Guideline For RBI Assistant Exam : Reserve Bank Of India conduct examination for its various post every year. It is another banking examination that enjoys highest level of competition. Thousands of students across India appear in this exam with preparation. RBI has four zonal offices, 19 regional offices and 10 sub-offices in India. The zonal offices in India are in four metropolitan cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. RBI 2017 Exam conducts examination for all its offices in India every year. Selection of candidates is done on merit basis and according to merit they get posted to zonal, regional or sub offices.

RBI exam notification for the post of assistant has been released and students wanted to make their career in field of banking are busy in giving final touch to exam preparation. RBI Assistance does not require any special preparation because the post of assistant in RBI is similar to clerical staff in other public banks. The pattern of question paper too remains similar. Thus, students preparing for SBI clerk or IBPS clerk can also apply for this examination.

Whether You Are Eligible For RBI Assistant Exam? : 

It is important to check eligibility criteria of RBI assistant exam carefully before filling form. The reason for same is final screening of documents and certificates are done at the time of interview. So, even if candidate qualifies both preliminary and main exam, in the absence of fulfilling eligibility criteria their interview will not be taken. Therefore, to avoid disappointment check detail of age limit, educational qualification and nationality carefully in notification and then fill the examination form. The basic eligibility criteria for RBI assistant exam are same as of other banking exams.

Age Limit – The age limit to appear for RBI assistant exam is 18-28 years. There is eligibility date present in notification that has to be fulfilled by applicant. For RBI assistant exam 2017 the date eligibility is candidate born before 02/06/1987 and after 01/06/1997 are not eligible to appear in examination. Age relaxation is given to reserve candidates as follow

5 years of maximum age relaxation is given to candidates of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, person having domicile of Kashmir in period 1st January 1980 to 31 December 1989. 3 years of maximum age relaxation given to candidates of other backward class category. For person with disability the age relaxation is 10 years for general category candidate, 13 years for OBC candidates and 15 years for SC/ST candidates. Similarly, 10 years of maximum age relaxation is given to widows, divorced and judicially separate women not married again. Ex-Service men and Ex-employee of RBI too gets age relaxation in RBI assistance exam depending on tenure they served.

The criterion for PWD, Ex-Service man is mention in notification published at official website of RBI. Moreover, to utilize age relaxation benefit, supported documents need to be submitted by candidate at the time of interview.

Nationality or Citizenship –    For nationality too, RBI has fixed criteria. Candidates of Indian citizenship, Butan, Nepal and Refugees of Tibetan are eligible to appear in RBI assistant exam. Migrated people from countries Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Burma, Ethiopia, United Republic of Tanzania, Zaira, Uganda and Kenya settled in India too can appear for examination.

Educational Qualification for RBI Assistant :

To sit in exam of RBI assistant exam, candidate has to hold bachelor degree. The minimum 50 percent marksis must in graduation. In addition to graduation degree, candidates are also need to be proficient in word processing.

Moreover, candidates applying for any particular office in state have to be proficient in language of that state. They should know how to read, write or speak language of that state.

RBI Assistant 2017 Application form & Notification :

There is no regulatory body of RBS that can foretell exam dates in beginning of year. However, according to set pattern of RBS, examination date for RBS assistant exam is conducted in same month. For 2017 too, the forms will be out in month of September.

All information about examination will be mentioned in notification and RBI official website is the only place to check details. Notification also get publish in employment newspaper.

Note – According to new guideline the examination for 2017 RBS Assistant will have three rounds of selection. First round will be Preliminary test; qualified applicant will then appear for final round and then interview.

Form for RBS assistant exam can be filled online only. Payment of fee can be done via debit card, credit card, internet banking, cash card/mobile wallet etc. Print out of receipt can be taken upon submission of fee.
