AMU 2018: Application Form, Exam Dates, Pattern, Eligibility Criteria

AMU MBBS BDS 2018: Aligarh Muslim University offers a variety of professional courses to the eligible citizens of India. This university invites applications for entry in medical courses and dental sciences for its entrance examination conducted during April or May 2018 (tentative). A total of 180 MBBS and BDS seats fill via this selection procedure. Of the 180, 145 MBBS seats offer in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, and 35 BDS seats offer in Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College. The AMU reserves 50% of seats for the Muslim candidates and 20% of the seats to its internal students. This exam is conducted on a national level to choose eligible candidates for studying MBBS and BDS course in the respective colleges. AMU 2018 Application Form:

The online application forms are made available from January 2018. A candidate can apply online and pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 via online transaction through e-challan or through designated gateways for making online payments. A candidate may also download the form and send it along with the DD drawn in favor of Finance officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh before the closing date mentioned in February 2018. A candidate must send the post ten days prior to the last date mentioned in the notification at the AMU website.

AMU MBBS 2018 Exam Pattern:

A single paper with objective type questions covering Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology ( 50 marks each ) give to the candidates. The maximum marks awarded is 200. The examination pattern has changed recently, wherein the candidates are selected via two-tiered tests, namely preliminary and mains. The preliminary test is conducted during the month of April, while the mains test may be conducted in May or June, according to the decision of the board. The candidates clearing the preliminary tests are eligible to appear for the mains test and are notified accordingly. The results of the preliminary tests are declared during the month of May and followed by the mains test during last week of May or first week of June.

AMU MBBS BDS 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be a citizen of India. He/she must not be younger than 17 years and older than 25 years of age, as on December 2018.

The qualifying examination to have appeared and passed for this must be equivalent to Class XII and recognized by an education board which covered courses pertaining to Physics, Chemistry, Biology (and Zoology).

The minimum aggregate required to be able to appear for the entrance exam is 50% in all the qualifying subjects of PCB.

AMU MBBS BDS 2018 Admit Card:

Admit cards for the preliminary examinations will upload on the website. A candidate may check the application status at the website. Download the admit card as soon as it is available. The board may also choose to mail admit cards to the eligible candidates. In a case of confusion or no proper response at the online website.
