Eligibility Criteria:

Find the eligibility conditions of Bharati Vidyapeeth University Ph.D.:

  • Applicants applying for admission to the Ph.D. program must be possessed the Master’s degree or a professional degree equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from the foreign educational institution recognized under a law in its home country.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ differently-abled will be given the relaxation of 5% marks.
  • Those who have cleared M.Phil. with 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade may apply. Candidates possessing a degree equivalent to M.Phil degree from an Indian institution or from a foreign recognized institution shall be eligible for the Ph.D. program
  • Candidates who have UGC-NET (including JRF/AYUSH-NET) /UGC – CSIR NET (including JRF / SLET / valid GATE / GPAT / Project Fellows / Teacher fellowship or DST inspire fellowship, DBT fellowship, or Quality improvement program (QIP), National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme (NDF) of AICTE or have passed M.Phil. will be exempted from appearing at the ‘All India Entrance Test’ for the Ph.D. admission.
  • Those who are in their final year of the postgraduate exam may also appear for the Entrance Test.

Selection Process:

The admission to Ph.D. is based on the merit acquired by the applicant in the ‘All India Entrance Test’ commenced by the University.

  • Candidates must have acquired at least 50% marks in the ‘All India Entrance Test’ with 50% weightage for Research Methodology and 50% weightage for the prescribed syllabus of the respective subjects.
  • The written test will be for 100 marks for 3 hours.
  • Candidate must have acquired a minimum of 50% of marks and relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/differently-abled category candidates. Those who have scored 50% and above will appear for the interview round.
