CBSE UGC NET Exam Pattern: Are you planning to appear in CBSE UGC NET this year? Are you looking for complete details on the exam pattern of the exam? CSIR UGC NET Exam Pattern:

  • Examination Mode: The examination for CSIR UGC NET will appear in the Online mode.
  • Total Parts: The Test will consist of three parts. All the parts will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
  • Total Number of questions: There will be 120 questions in all which will be asked in the CSIR NET exam.
  • Paper Medium: Candidates are required to select the medium of paper from languages such as English or Hindi. Fill the language at the time of filling the form
  • Duration of Exam: The Duration of the Exam will be 3 Hours.
  • Scheme of Marking: For every correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded. There will be no negative marking
  • Subjects: Life Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences.

  • Part ‘A‘ will be common to all subjects. This part will contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles, etc.
  • Part ‘B’ will contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.
  • Part ‘C‘ will contain higher order questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
