GRE 2022: GRE General Test is one of the largest assessment programs for the admission of graduate students. The examination is conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).   • You will have to visit the official website.
  • Now you will have to fill up some important details such as name, email id and contact number in order to register the account.
  • After this, you will have to select the user name, the password and the security question.
  • Then you will have to click on the submit option.
  • You will get a confirmation mail with a user id and a password. You will get these in your registered email is and also in your mobile number.
  • For future reference, the candidate should use the application number.
  • Now with the registration number and the password, you will have to log in to your account.
  • Now you need to book the slot.
  • Then you will have to click on the option Register/Find Test Centers, Dates.
  • Now you will have to select the nearest test center.
  • Then choose the date that you prefer and also choose the nearest test center.
  • Then you need to select the month by which you want to take the test.
  • After this, you will have to click on the option, “Show Test Times”. Now you will have to select the preferred slot and then also check the model of the test.
  • Enter the personal details.
  • Save and then move ahead.
  • Now you will have to enter the educational details. Make sure that you enter the details of the qualifications.
  • Pay the fees. Once you pay the fee, you will not get a refund.
  • Then you will have to take a print. You will be able to find the confirmation page generated in front of you.
  • In the last step, you will have to take a print of the confirmation page for use in the future.
  • Make sure that you save the registration number.

Application Fee:

The candidate can make the fee payment both online and offline. The candidate can make the fee payment online through debit or credit card, through Paypal. The application fee is $205. The application fee might also be paid offline through ETS – GRE drawn against the US bank accounts only.

Eligibility:

There is no prescribed age limit or qualification required by the candidate. But GRE is a test to get admission to the various graduate programs and therefore the candidates have to complete the undergraduate courses.

Exam Pattern:

Paper Based Examination -The paper-based examination has two sub-sections for each of the main categories. The main categories include Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning and also analytical writing. There are two tasks under the analytical writing part that the entire duration for this is 1 hour. Under Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning, there are two sections and 50 questions each and the maximum time limit is 60 to 70 minutes.

Computer Based Examination- For the computer-based pattern each of the sections is divided into two subsections that gain have 40 questions each. The analytical writing just has one section and this contains two tasks and the time duration for this is 1 hour. Other than the main sections, there are also two other variable sections included in the computer-based examination. Once the quantitative reasoning part is complete there is a 10 minutes break. The two variable sections namely the Unscored and the Research section are not included in the final GRE scores.
