Haryana Polytechnic 2023: The State of Haryana was declared as a separate state in the year 1966. The state started with 6 polytechnic institutions at that time and has grown to have over 170 polytechnic institutions. The polytechnic institutions of Haryana offer diploma courses in various disciplines like  Engineering, Technology, Business Management, Architecture, Computer Application, etc.

 The DET examination is conducted by The Haryana State Technical Education Society in order to provide a uniform examination for entry to its engineering and technology courses. The word DET stands for Diploma Entrance Test.

Haryana Polytechnic 2023 Application Form:

The Haryana Polytechnic DET examination is organized in order to offer admission in lateral entry engineering diploma courses. The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) conducts the Haryana Polytechnic DET examination this state level examination every year. The entrance examination is not conducted for the 1styear of diploma and pharmacy courses. Admission in the first year of the diploma will be done based on the merit list. Aspiring candidates need to be careful about filling up and submission of the application forms before the declared due date. No application form is accepted after the declared last date of application.

  • The application form for the DET examination is available at the official website.
  • Candidates can fill Haryana Polytechnic form through online mode.
  • The aspiring candidate must clearly fill out the details of the course he or she is applying for.
  • Candidates need to register themselves first.
  • A unique application number will be generated through the registration process.
  • The candidate needs to save the unique application number for future reference.
  • A candidate is allowed to change his/ her registration details on the counseling website before the expiry of the last date for filling of choices for the counseling period.
  • In case any candidate changes registration details after submission of choices, but before locking, all choices filled earlier will be initialized and all choices will be required to be filled in again within that counseling period.
  • Although the candidates are allowed to make corrections during the verification process at designated centers, yet it is advisable to fill up the application form correctly.
  • The aspiring candidates who want to avail the benefit of any scholarship or any Government benefit schemes have to submit their Aadhaar Number or Enrolment No. at the time of filling the online registration form.
  • The candidate is advised to take time in filling up the application form.
  • Candidates also have to upload recent passport size color photograph & signature in the required format.
  • The recent colored passport size photograph file has to be uploaded in jpeg format and the maximum allowed size of the file is 30kb.
  • The signature has to be uploaded in jpeg format and the maximum allowed size of the file is 20kb.
  • No printed application form for admission is available as the application process is online.
  • The aspiring candidates are advised to keep a printed copy of the application form in safe custody for future reference.
  • The candidates can go to Common Service Centers (CSC) for filling the online application form/ deposit of fee/ filling choices for counseling etc.
  • The CSC or the Common Service Centre is a physical facility where a person can get access to the Government of India e-Services. These facilities are available at remote locations which do not have computers and internet facilities.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for the General category candidate is Rs.500.
  • The application fee for the Reserved category candidate is Rs.200.
  • The payment mode is online and is payable through debit card or credit card or through the net banking process.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have been disqualified or debarred by a University or Board or any other Statutory Board will not be eligible for admission to the Haryana State polytechnics for the entire duration of the debarment.
  • If the information submitted by the candidate on the basis of which his or her admission has taken place is found to be false, the candidate’s admission is liable to be canceled.
  • For admission to the Diploma Engineering courses, the candidate must have passed 10th or SSC examination from a recognized board or university.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for candidates under the general category is 35 percent.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for candidates in the Reserved category is 33 percent.
  • For Lateral entry to Diploma Engineering courses, candidates must be passed in ITI course of minimum two year duration after completion of his or her class 10 examination or the candidate must have passed 12th standard from a recognized Board or University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. Candidates who have passed the 12th standard in vocational education and those who have passed NSQF level 4 are also considered eligible. NSQF is the National Skills Qualification Framework. NSQF levels are indicative the level of knowledge, skills and aptitude of a particular candidate. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 35 percent marks in order to qualify.
  • For entry to the Diploma in Pharmacy course, the candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with minimum 35 % marks in with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics as subjects.

Exam Pattern:

  • The Haryana Polytechnic DET examination is conducted in Computer-based online mode.
  • The test questions are asked in MCQ or Multiple Choice Question pattern.
  • The Haryana Polytechnic DET examination duration is 100 minutes.
  • The examination is conducted in the English language.
  • One mark is awarded for each correct answer.
  • There is no negative marking.

Haryana Polytechnic Syllabus:

  • The Haryana Polytechnic DET syllabus is class 10 and class 12 standard syllabus of the  Central board of Education (CBSE) & Haryana Board from respective classes.
  • Major emphasis is put on English, Mathematics, Physics and

  • Candidates must focus on class 10th & 12

Admit Card

  • The DET Haryana admit card is available to the candidate online.
  • A download link for the Haryana Polytechnic DET Admit Card is activated prior to the Haryana DET examination.
  • The aspiring candidate has to login with his or her stipulated Login ID and password in order to download his or her specific admit card.
  • After downloading the Haryana Polytechnic DET Admit Card, the candidates are advised to thoroughly check the details mentioned in the admit card.
  • Candidates should be able to furnish a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card in order to be allowed to appear in the entrance test.
  • Aspiring candidates seeking entry to Diploma lateral courses will have to attach a recent passport size color photograph with Admit Card. The admit card should also be attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Merit List:

  • A merit list is published on the official website.
  • The candidates can visit the official website of HSTES Haryana in order to get access to the merit list.
  • The candidate needs to enter his or her user ID and Password in order to know his rank.
  • All those candidates who have been featured in the merit list are eligible to proceed to the counseling process.
  • Candidates are called for counseling on the basis of a merit list.

Result:

  • The merit list has been prepared on the basis of the qualifying examination.
  • The Haryana Polytechnic Result is announced and cut-off information is released by the officials.
  • After accepting the application form from the candidates, the institution’s wise cut-off for various offered courses is officially announced.
  • Candidates will be selected for the counseling process by the various institutions based on the cut-off.
  • The DET Haryana publishes cut-off information on the opening and the closing ranks.
