JAC Chandigarh Engineering Admission 2023 Application Form:

The Application Form for JAC Chandigarh Engineering Admission 2023 will be released in the online mode. Applicants are required to fill and submit the application form on time. Here is the step-by-step process about the same:

  • Registration: Start with the registration by providing details such as Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, JEE Main Application number 2023, JEE Main Roll number 2023. After providing the details, create the password using JEE Main 2023 Roll number. Once the password is created, log in to their respective account to find details such as AIR JEE Main 2023.
  • Fill Details in JAC Chandigarh Form: Now, start filling in personal, academic, and communication details in the form. Make sure that the information entered in the form is correct.
  • Application Fee Submission: Now, pay the non-refundable application fee via online mode or using offline mode. Applicants belonging to General Category need to pay Rs. 2100 as application fee amount while candidates belonging to SC/ST category must pay Rs. 1050. Make online payment via Net Banking or Credit/Debit Card while for offline payment, use Challan.
  • Form submission and print of the form: After paying the application form, submit the form before the last date. Take the print of the application form for fulfilling further requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates must have passed class XII from some recognized board and must be possessed with the certificate
  • Besides this, applicants must have studied subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects and an additional subject in the qualifying exam.
  • Those who belong to the General category must have attained an aggregate of 60% in the HSC exam and SC/ST/PH category applicants must have attained at least 55% in the HSC exam.
  • It is mandatory that the candidate is mentally and physically fit.

Cut-Off:

Once the counseling round comes to an end, the authority will release the Cut-off.  The cut-off implies the minimum score applicants required to attain admission which includes opening and closing ranks of the shortlisted applicants. Those who miss the cut-off won’t be able to get admission. The cut-off is based on the number of candidates applied for the specific branch, availability of seats, and cut-off of the previous year.

Counselling Process:

The counseling process will start in July in the online mode. Candidates must have complete information about counseling. It will get over in three rounds – Choice Filling, Mock Counselling, Locking & Printing of the choice, and along with the Spot Round.

  • First Round – Choice Filling: Fill the choice of the institute and branch according to the preference and there is no limit in choice. Candidates can change or re-order the choices, delete the choice, and can even make new choices before locking the choices.
  • Second Round – Mock Counseling: The Mock Counseling will help in understanding the conformation of the institute.
  • Third Round – Locking and Printing of the Choices: In the third round, candidates are required to lock their choices before finalizing the choice. As soon as candidates lock their choices, take the print for further reference.
  • Fourth Round – Spot Round: Those who miss the choice filling counseling round by any chance, can appear in Spot Round by submitting the fee of Rs. 40,000 as a Participation fee.
