Jain Entrance Test 2023 or JET is the entrance examination commenced for attaining admission into several undergraduate and postgraduate courses proffered by Jain University. A Brief Info About Jain Entrance Test 2023:

  • For undergraduate courses, the candidate’s qualification should be 10+2 with 60% aggregate and for Postgraduate degree candidate’s qualification should be graduation with 50% aggregate

  • Selection Process: For B Tech, the paper will be an Objective type exam and for Undergraduate, it will be an Objective exam, GD and PI

JET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

  • For Bachelor of Technology (B Tech Course, Duration: Four years, Full time), the candidate must have passed class XII with subjects such as Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with one of the subjects such as Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject. The candidate must have acquired a minimum 60% marks in the above subjects taken together
  • For Undergraduate programs, candidates must have passed (or are awaiting results of) Class XII exams in the respective stream from the recognized board. In addition to this, the candidate must have attained at least 60% aggregate (5% marks relaxation for SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

PG Programs:

  • Candidate must have acquired the degree of graduation with 3 years in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Those who have applied for executive courses must have the required work experience

Jain Entrance Test 2023 Application Form:

Those who wanted to apply for JET 2023 need to apply through the application form using online mode or offline mode. Fill all the details such as personal and academic details in the form.

Steps to apply via online mode:

  • First, log on official Jain University website and click on ‘Apply for JET 2023 UG/ PG program’
  • Fill the basic details such as name, mobile number, email ID and choose a password. Go through these details and click on ‘Register’.
  • You will receive an email after getting done with the successful registration
  • Make sure to upload the scanned images of recent passport size photographs, signature, academic certificates of Class X and XII and graduation degree as per the given specifications.
  • Once you upload the documents, see the preview of the application form. Check the details once and click on ‘Submit.
  • Take a printout of the filled application form and save it for further reference
  • Submit the fee using online modes such as Credit/ Debit card, and net banking.
  • The cost of the application fee varies as per the program selected by applicants

Steps to apply via offline mode:

  • Fill the application form via offline mode.
  • Submit JET 2023 Application Form offline, attach your passport size photograph, signature, mark sheet of class X and XII and mark sheet of graduation or PG courses along with the form.
  • Draw the demand draft of INR 600 in favor of ‘JET University- SET’ payable at Bangalore.
  • Fill the complete application form of JET 2023 and send it via post along with the enclosures to the following address:

Admit Card:

Admit card comprises of details such as Name, Roll Number, Date of birth, Time slot and exam center allotted with its address will be printed on JET 2023 Hall ticket.

Steps to collect Admit Card:

  • Sign in the official website of JET 2023 i.e. www.jainuniversity.ac.in.
  • Click on the link to ‘Download JET 2023 Admit Card’
  • Then you will be redirected to a page, enter the registered email address and password.
  • Admit card will appear on the screen and after verifying all the details, take a print out of it.

Exam Centers:

JET 2023 will be commenced across various centers in India. Those who opt for the online mode of the examination will be permitted to select the preferred exam center while filling the application form. The exam will be commenced in both offline and online modes. However, the offline exam will be commenced in the Jain University campus only on specific dates and an online exam will be commenced by PAN India.

Exam Pattern:

B Tech Programs

  • Paper will be of 90 Marks- MCQ’s for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, 30 Marks for MCQ’s pertaining to Aptitude and Logical Reasoning and 30 Marks of MCQ’s pertaining to English
  • There will be 150 questions overall to be completed in 3 hours

Undergraduate Programs:

  • Those who have successfully cleared class 12th /PUC or ISC/CBSE or equivalent board with subjects such as Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with Electronics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology can apply for the exam.
  • Candidates applying for Jain through JET must have at least 60 % marks. There will be 5% relaxation for SC / ST category candidates.
  • IB students should get at least 26 credits to qualify for the course
  • Cambridge students must study 3 subjects at ‘A’ Level (Advanced level) consisted of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Candidates those who have completed class XII or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, or those who are waiting for the result can also apply
  • NIOS candidates can also apply for the entrance test.
  • The maximum marks will be 150.
  • The test is designed to test the candidates’ aptitude according to the chosen program.
  • Those who have qualified all the stages will move for counseling.

PG Programs

This test will also have 4 sections- Essay writing, Subject-based questions, Basic Mathematics and Current affairs.

The first 3 segments will be of 20 marks each while the Current Affairs section will be of 40 marks.

Candidates who qualify the test are called for GD and PI rounds.

These rounds are meant to assess the personality traits and attitudes of students

Jain Entrance Test 2023 Syllabus:

The syllabus for Jain Entrance Test 2023 comprises the topics of X and XII level of PCME (for engineering) and other subjects according to the undergraduate course selected by applicants. The syllabus for Post-graduation programs consisted of topics in the respective curriculum comprised during the time of graduation. Topics will be divided into two sections which are mentioned below:

Section 1:

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry – XI class and 12th class CBSE questions

Section 2:

20 Questions from English grammar

Jain Entrance Test 2023 Result:

The examination result will be declared soon after the exam gets over. Candidates need to go through the official website to check the rank list.

Info about Selection Process:

  • There will be a beginning of the selection process just after the result declaration. This will be done on the basis of the applicants’ performance in the entrance test.
  • Qualifying candidates will be invited through email for counselling process (GD/PI) at the University.
  • Candidates should be available to attend the counselling round according to the schedule uploaded by the institution.
    Candidates will be given provisional admission based on the marks attained in the entrance test during the counselling process.
  • Candidates will produce proof of having passed the qualifying exam and other documents.

Original documents needed during Counselling are as follows:

  • Class X and Class XII / PUC/ SYJC/ Equivalent exam (Original and2 copies)
  • Class10 passport size photographs along with 10 stamp size photographs
  • Transfer Certificate form college/ institution attended last (Original and 2 copies)
  • Migration Certificate (Original and 2 copies) (for non- Karnataka candidates)
  • Caste certificate and Income certificate (Original and 2 copies, if required)
  • Parent or Guardian’s PAN card photocopy
  • Provisional Admission offer letter (Original to be collected from the Admissions office of Jain University)
  • Photocopy of the provisional admission fee receipt

Important to Note: Applicants will pay the balance fee during the time of the submission of the original documents at the Kanakpura campus.
