JNU Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Those who are applying for A. (Hons.) 1st year needs to have specific Eligibility Criteria. Candidates need to have passed class 12th or some equivalent examination with at least 45% marks. In addition to this, the candidate must have obtained a certificate of Alimiah with minimum possible 45% marks and must have passed with the English language at the senior secondary level. Or aspirant must have attained 3 years course via Darul-Uloom Deoband
  2. Those intending for B.A. (Hons.) 2nd year in German must have attained a degree of graduation from some recognized university with 50%marks under the pattern such as 10+2+3 and must have high proficiency in German
  3. Those who wish to apply for B.A. (Hons.) II year other than German must have completed the degree of graduation or some examination from recognized as the equivalent exam with at least 45% marks under the pattern such as10+2+3 with great proficiency in the related language
  4. While applying for M.A. in Economics (with Specialization in World Economy), make sure for having the degree of graduation with at least 50% marks in the below-mentioned subjects such as:

(A). Economics (H) with Maths as a subsidiary subject or Mathematics (H) with Economics as a subsidiary subject or Statistics (H) with Maths and Economics as the subsidiary subject.

(B). Degree of graduation attained with the subjects such as Maths and Economics with attained marks as 60%

  1. Those who are looking forward to M.A. in Politics (with specialization in International Studies) & Post graduation (International Relations and Area Studies) must have acquired with the degree of graduation with minimum possible marks not less than 50%
  2. Those applying for Phil/Ph.D. must have acquired a degree of post-graduation in any of the related discipline
  3. If applying for Sc (Life Sciences) then the candidate must have attained the degree of graduation in B Tech or B. Sc. or some equivalent. The mandatory subjects such as Physical, Biological, or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology under 10+2+3 pattern of education with 55% marks.
  4. If applying for MCA examination then ensure for having the degree of graduation in BCA and B.Tech with subjects such as Maths in class 12th or the level of graduation with minimum possible 55% marks
  5. If you are interested to apply for Tech/ Ph.D. course then make sure for having a master’s degree in Maths or Computer Science or Statistics or Operational Research or into any branch of Science or graduate degree in the branch of Engineering or Master’s of Computer Applicants by attaining at least 55% Marks
  6. If you are eager to take admission o a course such as D (Direct Admission) then it is mandatory to have attained two years M.Phil degree or else one-year M.Phil with at least one-year research experience as well as one publication.
