JUNEE 2024: JNUEE is a university-level entrance test commenced once in a year. The exam is conducted for providing admission into several courses at levels such as undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), M.Phil, P.hD., and integrated courses at JNU across 14 Schools. JNUEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Check the eligibility conditions for appearing in JNUEE:

  • Indian and Foreign nationals can apply for the examination
  • Applicant’s minimum age to apply is 17 years.

Course Wise Eligibility:

  • For B.A (Hons) 1st year: Applicant must have completed 10+2 exam with at least 45% marks. Those who are appearing in 10+2 exam may also apply.
  • For B.A (Hons) 2nd year: Those who have cleared 1st year of a bachelor’s degree from some recognized university with minimum 45% marks may apply for the course.
  • For MA: Candidates must have done a bachelor’s degree in any stream with 50% marks under the 10+2+3 education pattern.
  • For M.Phil and Ph.D: Aspirant must have done Post Graduation in the related subject with 50% marks.
  • For MCA: Candidate must have completed graduation with the degree of (BCA/B.Tech) with Mathematics at graduate or 10+2 level with at least 55% marks.
  • For M.Sc (Life Sciences) – Applicants must be possessed with a degree of graduation in in physical, biological or agricultural sciences with at least 55% marks at the graduation level.

Registration:

  1. Go to the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University
  2. Now, click on the link “Application form- Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination”.
  3. Create the login ID by providing the details such as name, programme of study, valid Email ID, mobile number, nationality, date of birth and password.
  4. Applicants will get their application number on their registered Email Id.

Upload the Documents:

  • Now, upload the scanned images of the documents such as photograph and signature in the prescribed dimensions.

Pay the Application Fee:

  • Pay the application via modes such as debit card/credit card/internet banking or e-Challan of the SBI bank.
  • The application fee is non-refundable in nature.
  • The application fee is based on the course applied for and the category.

Admit Card:

After submitting the application form and application fee, download the admit card from the official website. Take a print of the admit card so that it would be convenient to carry to the exam canter of the exam day. The admit card consisted of the details such as educational details and exam-related information. Here are the steps to acquire the admit card:

  1. Go to the official website of JNU ntajnu.nic.in
  2. Now, click on the link “JNUEE 2024 admit card”.
  3. Enter the application number and date of birth.
  4. Click on the “submit” button.
  5. The admit card will appear on the screen.
  6. Download the admit card and take a print of the same for further reference.

Exam Pattern:

Here is the examination pattern mentioned below:

  • Exam will be commenced in the online mode
  • Candidate will get 180 minutes to complete the paper
  • Paper will be consisted of different questions for different programs
  • There will be negative markings in the paper.

Note: The examination pattern varies from course to course.

Cut Off:

The cut off marks will be different for the candidates under different categories. Cut off marks are the minimum marks scored by the applicants in the qualifying exam.

  • Phil/Ph.D, Pre Ph.D/Ph.D/M.Tech/Ph.D/MPH/Ph.D: General category-40% ; OBCSC/ST 36%, and PH 30%
  • A/MCA/M.Sc, B.A (Hons) 1 and 2nd year and part time programs: : General category-30% ; OBCSC/ST-27%, and PH-25%

Counselling:

The final merit list will be prepared by JNU on the basis of the final merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks attained in the entrance test and viva-voce.

Make sure to carry the original documents on the day of admission. Here is the list of documents needed for the counseling process:

  • Mark sheet and certificate of Class XII.
  • Mark sheet and certificate of Graduation (if needed)
  • Mark sheet and certificate of Post graduation (if needed)
