JTET 2023: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is responsible for holding JTET (Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test). Many aspirants want for this exam as it happens once in a year. In order to apply for this exam, if you have details prior, you will feel comfortable. Those who are interested can collect details about Jharkhand TET 2023 such as eligibility criteria, exam dates, syllabus, etc.

JTET 2023 Application Form:

The application form will be released in the month of September. This form is the source to apply for exam. Go to the official website to collect the application form. Fill all the details mentioned in the application and get ready with the documents to be attached with the application form. Fill info such as name, father’s name, contact number, relevant email address, etc. Attach all the documents in the prescribed format and pay the application fee too. Make sure that you take the print of the application form before the final submission.

Application Fee:

Those who belong to General category will pay Rs 500/- as application fee and SC/ST category candidates will pay Rs 250/- as the application fee.

JTET Application Form Correction Proviso:

Though you must fill in all the details carefully in the Jharkhand TET 2023 application form but in case of making corrections in the application form, you should use login credentials ( User ID ) and click on the submit tab to enter your account and edit the online application method.

Eligibility Criteria:

Class I-V (Paper I):

  • Candidates must have successfully cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 % Marks and must have passed or appeared in the final 2-year diploma in elementary education.
  • Candidates must have successfully cleared Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and must have passed or appeared in the final 4-year Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed.)
  • Candidates must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50 % Marks and must have passed or appeared in the final 2 – year diploma in Education in education may also apply.
  • Candidates who have successfully done BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 % marks and B.Ed may also apply.

Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II):

  • Candidate must have done graduation and appearing in the final 2 years D.Ed may also apply.
  • Candidates those who have successfully completed Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed may also apply.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in elementary education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. may apply for Exam.
  • Those who have done BA. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50% marks in BA or B.Sc are eligible to apply.

Jharkhand TET Exam Pattern:

Paper will appear Objective Type and along with the question paper, the candidate will receive an OMR sheet to mark the answer. The exam duration will be 150 minutes. Paper will appear in English and Hindi language. However, the questions of English and Urdu will appear in English and Urdu language only.

Paper I (for classes I o V):

  • Mathematics will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Language II will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks

Paper II (for classes VI to VIII):

  • Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Language II will have 30 questions for 30 marks
  • For Mathematics and Science teacher, the candidate will appear in Mathematics and Science test to solve 60 questions for 60 marks
  • For Social Studies/Social Science teacher, the candidate will appear in Social Science test to solve 60 questions for 60 marks
  • Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks

Syllabus for Paper I:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will cover topics such as Understanding diverse learners Adjustment, Learning Difficulties, The Role of Heredity and environment, Child Development, Meaning and Concept of learning and its processes, How Children learn and think, Action Research, Individual Differences, Meaning and purposes of Assessment, Motivation and Implications for Learning, Teaching-learning process, Right to Education Act 2009, Theories of learning and its implication, Personality, Intelligence, and Factors Affecting Learning
  • Language I will cover topics such as Teaching Learning Materials, Unseen Prose Passage, Framing Questions Including Wh-questions, Principles of Teaching English, Comprehensive & Continuous Evaluation, Development of Language Skills, Unseen Prose Passage, and Teaching Learning Materials
  • Language II will cover topics such as Phrasal Verbs and Idioms, Literary Terms, Unseen Poem Principles of Teaching English, Modal Auxiliaries, Basic knowledge of English Sounds and their Phonetic Transcription, Communicative Approach to English Language Teaching, Challenges of Teaching English, and Unseen Prose Passage
  • Mathematics will cover topics such as Data Handling, Decimal Fractions, Volume, Addition and Subtraction, Geometry, Weight, LCM & HCF, Shapes & Spatial Understanding, Pedagogical issue, Division, Numbers, Multiplication, Measurement, Time, Money, and Patterns

  • Social and Political Life (Civics) will cover topics such as Diversity, Parliamentary Government, Government, Unpacking Gender, Local Government, Pedagogical issues, The Judiciary, The Constitution, Social Justice and the Marginalised, Democracy, Understanding Media, Making a Living, and State Government

Selection Process JTET 2023:

  • The selection will be based on performance in two papers. Paper I is for primary category from classes I-V and the other will be commended for higher Primary category from classes VI-VIII. Those who are able to score at least 60% will be selected. However, for SC / ST category candidates, the cut-off will be 52%.

Jharkhand TET 2023 Admit Card:

Admit card will be provided via online mode. Those who have successfully submitted the application form will receive the admit card. Go to the official website to fetch the admit card. No candidate is permitted to appear in the exam without admit card.

Instructions about Admit Card:

  • Candidates need to carry the printout of the admit card to the examination hall.
  • Download the admit card on the fixed date.
  • Check all the details mentioned in the admit card.
  • Check Date, Time and Venue of JTET 2023 on the Admit Card.
  • The candidate will carry a print of the admit card along with the valid ID proof during the Exam time. Keep Admit Card safely till the admission process gets over.

Exam Result:

The result for Jharkhand TET 2023 will be announced in the month of March. Go to the official website to check the exam result.

Answer Key:

Those who appear in JTET 2023 exam can check the answers using the answer key. The answer key will be issued so that it will be easy for candidates to match their answers and send objections to the answer key to the recruitment board.
