JUET 2023JUET 2023 is an entrance examination commenced every year for providing admission to Post Graduate Degree (PG), PG Diploma and Under Graduate Programs proffered by Jammu University, Jammu. Jammu University commences the JUET exam in June every year.  Selection for Post Graduate, and Under Graduate Programs given by Jammu University based on two parameters – Merit in the qualifying exam and entrance test. 75% weightage will be given to the Qualifying Exam and 25% to JUET. JUET 2023 Application Form:

  • The application form for JUET 2023 will be released in May via online mode only. Go to the official website https://www.juet.in. And apply for the examination.
  • Check the eligibility criteria before applying for JUET 2023
  • Documents required to be submitted along with the application form include soft copies of Passport Size Photograph and Signature (Size 100 KB and Minimum 2 KB in jpg file format).

Application Fee:

The application fee for General Category applicants is INR 850/- and INR 730/- for SC / ST category applicants. Submit additionally INR 600/- for self-financing admission seat.

Steps to apply Online JUET 2023 Application Form:

  • Go to the Admission Portal i.e. www.juet.in
  • Get done with the Registration by filling in the required information such as Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Make Password, State and City, etc
  • Click on the ‘Register button and a message will appear on the screen that your account is opened successfully.
  • Open your Email Account and then open an email from Jammu University
  • Click on the Verification Link and go back to the portal.
  • Log in with Registered Email ID and Password
  • Choose the course applied for
  • Click on the Application Form for JUET 2023
  • Application Form will Open and fill in details such as Personal Details, Parent’s Details, Address, Academic Details, etc
  • Upload latest passport size Photograph and Signature
  • Submit the form
  • Go to the payment section
  • Submit the application fee via modes such as Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card

Under Graduate Program:

  • To apply for the UG program, the candidate must have successfully cleared Class XII with the minimum qualifying marks ranging from 45% – 50% (depending on the program applying for)
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST category must have acquired at least 40% – 45% (depending on the  program applying for)

Post Graduate Program:

  • Candidate must have completed Graduation with minimum qualifying marks ranging from 50% – 55% (depends on the program applying for)
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST category must have acquired at least 45% -50% (depends on the  program applying for)

Post Graduate Diploma Program:

  • Candidate must have completed Graduation with minimum qualifying marks ranging from 45% – 55% (depends on the program applying for)
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST category must have acquired at least 40% -50% (depends on the  program applying for)

There is no specific age to apply for JUET 2023

Exam Pattern:

  • JUET 2023 is an offline Examination.
  • The exam duration will be 150 minutes.
  • The Paper will consist of 150 objective-type questions.
  • The Paper is divided into 4 sections – General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability.
  • The first three sections will consist of 40 questions each whereas the Numerical Ability section consisted of 30 questions.
  • The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 0.25 mark for an incorrect answer.

The syllabus for JUET 2023 is well-explained below:

Post Graduate Program: There will be four sections in the paper:

  • General English will consist of 40 Questions (Standard Graduate)
  • General Knowledge will consist of 40 Questions (Standard Graduate)
  • The reasoning will consist of 40 Questions (Standard Graduate)
  • Numerical Ability, 30 questions based on Class X standard

Under Graduate Program:

  • General English will consist of 40 Questions (Class XII Standard)
  • General Knowledge will consist of 40 Questions (Class XII Standard)
  • The reasoning will consist of 40 Questions (Class XII Standard)
  • Numerical Ability, 30 questions based on Class X standard

Section-Wise Topics Covered:

Section A: General English

  • Comprehension of passage
  • Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences¸
  • Sentence Correction, Sentence completion, Sentence Correction, the odd man out, idioms, one-word substitution, Different usage of the same word, etc.

Section B: General Knowledge

  • Famous award and prizes
  • Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events
  • Science, History, Geography, International organizations
  • Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics, etc.

Section C: Reasoning

  • Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption – Premise – Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, Statements and Conclusions, identifying valid inferences, identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements.
  • Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree – identifying relationship among a group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc.

Section D: Numerical Ability

  • Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, In-equations, Algebra and Profit & Loss
  • Averages, Percentages, Partnership & Time – Speed – Distance, Work and time
  • Probability, Permutations & Combinations

Admit Card:

Go to the official website to avail the admit card. Click www.juet.in and admit card will appear on the screen. Steps to download an admit card are given below:

  • Go to www.juet.in
  • Find the Applicant Login and Click on it
  • A new web page will be opened showing the downloading of the JUET 2023 Admit Card
  • Click on the login button
  • Admit card will appear on the screen, download it and take 2-3 prints for further use.

Carry the admit card to the examination center as it is the mandatory document to carry to the examination hall. The candidate is not permitted to enter the examination hall without an admit card. Details mentioned in the admit card are the Candidate’s Name, Roll Number, Address, Date of Birth, Examination name, Address of the Examination Center, etc. Carry an admit card along with a Photo ID Proof for verification purpose.

Steps to Download Score Card:

  • Visit www.juet.in
  • Go to Applicant Login Section
  • Click on Result for JUET 2023
  • A form will open
  • Fill in the required information: Registration Number, Date of Birth/Password
  • Click on Submit
  • The result will appear on the screen
  • Download and seek the Print

Counseling:

After the result announcement, counseling will take place. The A-Rank list will be disclosed on Jammu University’s website along with Date & Time counseling Rank-wise. Download the Counselling Call Letter from www.juet.in the website, take a print and submit.

Documents required for Counselling Process:

  • The original mark sheet and certificate of class X and XII (for Undergraduate candidates)
  • Class X, XII, and Graduation Certificate / Degree / Mark Sheet (for Post Graduate & Post Graduate Diploma candidate)
  • Photo ID Proof showing Candidate’s Photo, Address, Date of Birth and Parents Name
  • Score Card of JUET 2023
  • Admit Card of  JUET 2023 Exam
  • Counseling Call Letter
  • 5 latest passport size Photographs
  • JUET Application Fee Challan
  • Category proof issued by competent authority as per instructions
