Kerala Nursing 2022: The Government of Kerala offers various courses and one of them is Kerala Nursing 2022. This is a well-known course for female candidates and to pursue this course, interested applicants are required to apply for an entrance examination. This undergraduate Nursing course can be acquired from any Nursing college in Kerala. LBS Centre for Science and Technology (LBSCST) aims at managing admission to this reputed course. Kerala Nursing 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

The topmost important thing candidate expected to do is to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Given below are comprehensive details:

  • Candidates must have successfully completed Class XII Board Exam with the Science stream from Kerala State Board of Education or any other equivalent board, approved by the Kerala University of Health Science.
  • Candidate must have successfully acquired 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • Candidates belonging to the country of India and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card-holders may also apply.
  • According to the Kerala Government, there will be three categories eligible to apply for admission. They are Keralite, Non-Keralite Category-1 (NK-1) and Non-Keralite Category 2 (NK-2).
  • Reserved category applicants will be offered with 5% relaxations in the aggregate scores. SC/ST category applicants will be eligible for admission if they have cleared all subjects under the qualifying examinations.
  • The candidate’s age should be 17 years of age as of 31st December 2022. There will be no upper limit for Kerala Nursing admissions 2022, other than for in-service candidates. The upper age limit for In-service candidates is 46 years as of 31st December 2022.

Keralite Category:

  • Candidate will be considered under the Keralite category if they are originated from the Kerala state. Children of All India Services officers who are Non-Keralites will also be considered in this category. However, these candidates will not be provided any sort of reservations, like Communal, Special or Persons with Disabilities.

Non-Keralite Category 1 (NK-1):

  • Those who have successfully completed the qualifying course in Kerala and are the children of Non-Keralite parents, but are employed under the ambit of the Government of India or Defence Services in Kerala may also apply for the examination.
  • Children of Non-Keralite parents who have served or serving the Government of Kerala for at least 2 years are eligible to apply.
  • Permanent residents of Kerala for the duration of 5 years during the duration of education in the state may also apply for the examination.
  • Those who have successfully completed classes VIII-XII from the recognized school of Kerala can seek admission.
  • Those who fall in this category will be considered relevant under State Merit List but they are not eligible for Communal, Special or PwD reservation quotas or fee concessions.

Non-Keralite Category 2 (NK-2):

  • Those who do not fall in the above-mentioned categories belong to this category. These applicants are applicable to apply for the admission process but they cannot receive admissions under any kind of reservation or offered fee concessions.
  • Such applicants are eligible for management quota seats at Private Self Financing Colleges in the state; meet the necessary academic eligibility criteria.

Kerala Nursing 2022 Application Process:

  1. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply for the course through online mode. Given below are the steps to apply for Kerala B.Sc Nursing 2022:
  2. First of all, start registration with LBS Centre for Science and Technology.
  3. Register as “New Candidate” and enter all the important details.
  4. Make sure to enter all the crucial details correctly as incorrect filled details may lead to cancellation of the form.
  5. After entering all the details, save the application form and continue with the application procedure.
  6. Submit the application fee
  7. Once payment is confirmed, the candidate will receive a unique registration ID as well as password to login further
  8. Login to the website and complete the application process by uploading a passport size photograph and signature.
  9. Upload other documents as well.
  10. After documents are uploaded and entered in the application form, check the form once more and then submit it.

Documents Required for Kerala Nursing Application Process:

Upload a scanned copy of the following documents:

  • SSLC passing certificate for proof of Date of Birth, or equivalent
  • Nativity Certificate
  • Mark sheet of the respective qualifying examination
  • Relevant certificates for different categories – SEBC, OEC, SC/ST, OBC, PwD, signed by the competent authority, to avail the relevant reservation quota and fee concession.
  • In-Service Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of a certificate of Service.

Seat Allotment Process:

  • After the application process comes to an end, there will be the release of the rank list of the shortlisted applicants. Candidates will be mentioned in the rank list as per the aggregate marks acquired in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, in the qualifying exam.
