KU CAT 2023: Kerala University Common Entrance Test is a university-level exam conducted by the University of Kerala or Kerala University (KU or UoK) every year. The common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted to provide admission into Masters in Business Administration (MBA) course at the Institute of Management in Kerala (IMK- Kariavattom Campus) and the University Institutes of Management (UIM). Candidates willing to do a master’s in business administration can give this exam. Candidates who pass the written test with the required score will take part in a group discussion and interview round. KU CAT is an offline pen and paper-based exam.

KU CAT 2023 Application Form:

All interested candidates have to fill out the application form online via the official website https://admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in or https://www.keralauniversity.ac.in/home.

Important documents required during application form filling:

  • Date of birth certificate
  • Identity proof (AADHAR card, Voter id)
  • 10th and 12th mark sheet
  • Scanned photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Correct working phone no. and email id
  • Caste certificate if applied for any reservation

Application Fee:

All the candidates have to pay an application fee to complete the process of application form filling. The application fee for all the candidates is Rs500 (all categories). The candidate has to pay the application fee online through credit card, debit card, or net banking. The application form is only accepted via online mode.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have a degree from an Indian university that is recognized by Kerala University. The degree should be under the regular stream and must be in the 10+2+3 pattern (BA/B.Sc/BC) or in10+2+4 pattern (B.Tech or B.Arch). The pass marks in the qualifying exam at the minimum must be 50%. Candidates who have passed postgraduate courses from a recognized institution can also apply. They too should have passed the qualifying exam with 50% pass marks at the minimum.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit prescribed by the authority to apply for the KU CAT exam.

Exam Pattern:

KU CAT exam is conducted offline once a year and the duration of the exam is 2hours. All the questions will be objective type (MCQs). For every correctly answered question candidates score 3 marks and for every wrongly answered question, 1 mark will be deducted. Candidates will be tested based on Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Verbal Ability and Comprehension.

Admit Card & Result:

The application form is released in July and the exam is mostly conducted in September. Candidates may collect their admit card a few days before the exam date and the result will be declared a few months after the exam on the official website.

Counselling Process:

Counseling for KU CAT 2022 would comprise Group Discussion and Interview procedure. Candidates who have passed CAT, KMAT, or CMAT exams with the required score can attend the counseling process. Earlier, KU CAT (a university-level exam) used to be conducted and candidates who used to pass that exam used to be called for counseling procedure. Candidates have to pass group discussions and interviews with a good score. The candidates will be selected based on their performance in group discussions, interviews, written tests, and qualifying degree exams.
