Lucknow University Admission:

The Lucknow University offers forms via online mode for UG and PG courses will release separately. Candidates are required to fill the Lucknow University Admission Form on time and submit it before the last date. Make sure for taking a printout of the admission form for later help. The admission will be commenced to offer admission to PG and UG level courses. Lucknow University will regulate the admission and organize an entrance test for admission to the UG level course. The admission to the PG course is wholly dependent on the merit of the qualifying exam.

Steps To Apply for the Lucknow University UG Courses:

  • Visit the official website of Lucknow University.
  • On the Homepage, Click on the ‘Admission’.
  • Now click on ‘Online Form Submission’
  • A new page will open, read all the instruction and click on ‘I Agree
  • Then click on ‘Proceed’
  • Now fill in the Registration Details.
  • Fill in all basic details such as candidate’s names, mail ID, phone numbers, etc.
  • A confirmation mail & SMS will be sent to your registered ID & number.
  • Now login using the given login credentials.
  • Proceed to submit all other asked & left details in the application form.
  • Upload scanned image of Passport size photograph & signature in JPEG format.
  • A confirmation page will appear on your computer screen.
  • Take its printout & keep it safe till future use.

Application form fee:

  • The fee can be paid via various means such as Credit card, Debit card, and internet banking. There is a facility for e-challan as well is there. The fee once paid will not be refunded
  • The cost for the UG level course is Rs 800/- for General category candidates and Rs.1000/- for PG level course for the general category. Those who belong to SC and ST category need to make a payment of Rs.400 for the UG level course and Rs.500/- for the PG level course.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates can check the LU eligibility criteria before applying for Lucknow University Admission:

  • For B.A. (H.): Candidate must have attained at least 60% marks in the intermediate or equivalent exam if belonging to General category and 55% for those belonging to Reserved category
  • For BA: Candidate must have passed Intermediate or some equivalent examination & obtained aggregate 40% marks and 33% for reserved category candidates
  • B.Sc (Mathematics Group): While applying, make sure that the candidate must have attained 40% (For general category) in intermediate or some equivalent exam with Maths Group. However, the percentage is 33% if belonging to the Reserved category
  • For B.Sc (Biology Group): While applying, make sure that the candidate must have attained 40% (For the general category) in intermediate or some equivalent exam with Biology Group. However, the percentage is 33% if belonging to the reserved category
  • For BCA: Candidate must have passed intermediate or equivalent examination & must secure an aggregate of 50% marks if belonging to general category and 45% for those belonging to SC/ST category
  • B.Com: While applying, make sure that the candidate must have attained 40% (For general category) in intermediate or some equivalent exam with Commerce Group.  However, the percentage is 33% if belonging to the reserved category
  • For LLB (Integrated): candidate must have attained Intermediate or some equivalent examination & scored at least 45% marks if belonging to General category and 40% for those belonging to reserved category
  • M.Sc/M.Com/MA Pass B.Sc/B.Com/BA, the candidate needs to follow the 10+2+3 pattern and attained at least 45% marks for the General category and 40% for reserved category candidates
  • For LLM: Candidate needs to Pass the LLB examination & scored a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 48% for SC and ST category candidates (48% for SC/ST).
  • For MBA: Candidate required passing the graduation degree in any of the streams with a 10+2+3 pattern from any university by UGC.

LU Exam Pattern:

For UG Admission:

  • Exam Mode: The Exam will be conducted through Online Mode.
  • Total questions: There will be 100 questions in the exam.
  • Type of Questions: objective type (MCQ) will be asked in the exam.
  • Duration: The time duration will be 90 minutes.
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

For PG Admission:

  • Total questions: The exam will be divided into three segments and will vary for various courses.
  • Number of Sections: There will be three sections in the paper except for LLB (3 years) & MCA.
  • Duration: The time duration will be 2 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 5 marks will be given in section A, 15 marks in section B, and 20 marks in section C.

Lucknow University Syllabus:

The syllabus of the UG level course consisted of the Intermediate level course. The questions will be asked from the subjects studied in class 12th on various boards such as UP, ISC, and CBSE.

Admit Card:

Download the admit card using the online mode. It is important to carry a copy of the admit card at the examination hall as it contains important details such as name, roll number, and other personal details

Result:

The results will be announced on the main website. There will be no provision like offline mode to access the results. The merit list will be prepared after the result declaration task gets over.

Lucknow University Counselling Process:

Counseling is the last step in the admission process. After the result announcement, counseling will be organized via offline mode within the university campus. The counseling process will be done via offline mode within the university campus itself. Counseling will be done based on the merit list. The admission to the Post-graduation course is based on the marks secured in written tests and interviews in the Bachelor’s degree.
