Meghalaya TET 2024Meghalaya TET 2024: MTET is commonly called Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test /MTET and it is conducted by DERT or Directorate of Educational Research & Training. Meghalaya TET is a state-run admissibility test and it is organised for the teachers’ employment in Primary Schools and Upper Primary Schools run by the government. The primary section comprises of classes I to V while the Upper primary includes classes from VI to VIII. Willing and suitable candidates can register via online mode and process the fee for registration using the authorised website before the due date. Meghalaya TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

All applicants are urged to view the eligibility norms before downloading the application form. The eligibility rules for MTET 2024 are listed below:

Citizenship:

  • Contenders must be an Indian national.
  • And must fulfill the residential/non-residential status as asked by the exam conducting authority.

For Lower Primary Applicants: (standard I – V):

  • Aspirants need to qualify Senior Secondary examination or 10+2 Board examination from any renowned Board with at least 45% marks. Any final year B.Ed.or Bachelors in Education / D.El.Ed or Diploma in Education /Special Education or (2-year) diploma in Education are eligible to apply for MTET 2024.
  • Graduation in Arts and Science stream with at least 50% marks are fit to apply for MTET 2024. Any applicant with B.ED in any stream can also submit the application form.

For Higher Primary Applicants: (standard VI-VIII):

  • Applicants have to pass Graduation in arts or science stream securing at least 50% with a obligatory B.Edcetification from any renowned University.
  • A final year B.El.Ed or Bachelor in Elementary Education / B.A. With specialization in Education/  B.Sc. B.Ed, with at least50% marks in graduation are suitable to seat for Meghalaya TET.

Age Bar:

  • All contenders must be within 21 to 35 years of age.
  • For candidates pertaining to reserved categories like SC or ST or PH applicants 5% relaxation in age will be given as per the rules of the board.

Meghalaya TET 2024 Application Fee:

The application fee for MTET 2024 varies with the category to which the applicant belongs.

  • For the General and OBC category the application fee is Rs 300 for each paper and Rs.600 for both the papers.
  • For SC and ST candidates the application fee is Rs.150 for a single paper whereas Rs 300 when applying for both primary and upper primary at the same time.
  • The application fee transaction can be processed through internet banking or a debit or credit card.
  • The other way to pay the fee is via offline method as mentioned by the exam conducting authorities.

Meghalaya TET 2024 Application Form:

  • MTET 2024 Application Form will be issued by DERT or Directorate of Educational Research & Training via online method at their certified website.
  • Application Form for MTET 2024 will be obtainable tentatively from July 2024.
  • Applicants can go to the authorised website to avail it.
  • In Home page click the “Apply Online” option.
  • Applicants need to pay the fee for the application form via. Internet Banking / Credit card / Debit card.
  • Then complete the Application procedure through the online method providing all necessary information.
  • Applicants have to upload their scanned images with a signature in JPG format.
  • Signature and Photograph should be of the prescribed size and shape.
  • The selection of the exam centre can be done after all the necessary particulars have been uploaded. Candidates can opt for two examination centres, one for primary and the other for secondary.
  • The Exam Organising body will give the correction facility for the applicants of Meghalaya TET using online mode.
  • After checking all the details applicants need to press the Submit option.
  • All applicants must get a print out of the filled application form for further use.

Exam Pattern:

Meghalaya TET organising board has put forward the exam pattern and some guidelines to the applicants. The pattern of the examination is stated below:

  • MTET Examination will take place via the offline method.
  • The time limit for the examination will be 150 Mins.
  • The examination will be based on Objective type of questions.
  • There will be 150 Questions for 150 marks.
  • For each accurate answer, candidates can fetch 1 mark.
  • No provision of negative marking.
  • Paper-I will have 150 questions from five different topics. Each topic will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • The topics in Paper I are Language I, Language II, Mathematics, EVS, Child Development and Pedagogy.
  • Paper II will have150 questions from four different topics. Three topics out of four will have 30 questions for 30 marks and the fourth one will have 60 questions for 60 marks.
  • The topics in Paper II are Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Child Development & Pedagogy and Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies.

Meghalaya TET 2024 Syllabus:

The syllabus of the TET is mentioned below:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: Pedagogical Apprehensions, Understanding Knowledge, Development Of Child.
  • Mathematics: Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Sets, etc.
  • Environmental Studies: Indian constitution, Our Country, our Body, our State, Culture & History of India.
  • Language I-Hindi
  • Language II- English

Admit Card:

Applicants can avail their Admit Card using online facilities by registering into the authorised website of Meghalaya TET. Admit cards will be obtainable tentatively by the end of March 2024. By providing the DOB and registration id admit cards can easily be downloaded. Each applicant must meticulously check all details mentioned in the admit card before downloading it. For any error, candidates must get in touch with the officials reporting about its mistakes.

Result:

DERT or The Directorate of Educational Research & Training is the organising body of MTET whose duty is to announce the results of Meghalaya TET via online at their authorised website. The contenders should go through their result by providing their Registration id, Admit Card details and DOB. The scorecard will be announced laterally with the results.

Cut off:

The comprehensive MTET exam cut off score are mentioned below:

  • The cut off for the General category is 60%.
  • For the reserved category, the cut-off score is 55%.

Answer Key:

The Answer Key will be issued by the authority. After the examination gets over  the Answer Key will be announced. The Answer Key will enable the applicants to calculate their marks. They can raise objections for any incorrect answer in the Mizoram TET Answer Key.
