MH SET 2023: MH SET is shortened for Maharashtra State Eligibility Test. This examination is managed by Savitribai Phule Pune University to choose the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in different universities or colleges of Maharashtra and Goa. It is a state-level Entrance Exam. The exam is commenced in overall 32 subjects of Arts, Commerce, Mental, Moral, Science, Management, Law, Social Sciences, Education and Physical Education. Various candidates come across to give the entrance examination every year in several regions such as Aurangabad, Chandrapur, Ahmednagar, Amravati, Nagpur, Nanded, Nasik, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Dhule, Panaji (Gao), Pune Gadchiroli, Mumbai, and Solapur.

MH SET 2023 Application Form:

The MH SET 2023 Application form will be available in May on the official website. The Last date to apply for the Application Form is June 2023. Those who are willing to become Assistant Professor in universities/ colleges of Maharashtra and Goa can apply for the test. Interested Candidates have to fill the application form before the last date.

Steps to apply for the MH SET Exam 2023 Application Form:

Steps to fill the application form are as follows:

  • Go to the official website Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
  • On the Home page, click on Apply Now.
  • Then click on New Registration.
  • Now, candidates will register themselves by submitting the details in the required field.
  • After Registration, candidates will get a User ID & Password.
  • Now again visit the home page and apply for the Application Form with the help of User Id & Password.
  • Fill the application form with correct and complete details.
  • Make sure to check the details mentioned in the application before submission.
  • Upload Scanned Signature and Photo by selecting the image files for the passport size photo, the maximum size will be 50kb JPG or JPEG file and for Signature, the maximum size will be 30kb JPG or JPEG File.
  • Submit the application form but before that take a printout for further reference.

Application Fee:

Candidates can make payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking only.

  • For Open Category (General), the application fee will be Rs.800
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Transgender the application fee will be Rs.650
  • For OBC/SBC/DT/NT (Only Non-Creamy layer), the application fee will be Rs.650

Maharashtra SET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate must have completed Master’s Degree recognized by UGC student’s Post Graduate diploma or certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree or Certificate or Diploma given by the Foreign University or Institute
  • Students with OBC/SBC/ SC/ST/DT/NT category obtain 55% marks in post-graduation or related examination eligible for the test. SBC/ OBC/DT/NT from PH/ SC/ST/VH (PH & VH-Visually, i.e., Blind) category candidates availing 50% marks in graduation or related exam can apply for the examination.
  • Candidates who complete or those who are in their master’s degree examination will be taken into consideration.
  • Those who belong to other states belong to reserved categories such as OBC/SEBC/ SC/ST/ will be considered under the Open/Unreserved category according to the rules of the Maharashtra and Goa States.
  • There will be no age restriction to apply for the test.

Exam Pattern:

Maharashtra SET 2023 Examination consisted of two papers i.e, Paper-I & Paper-II. The exam for all papers will take place on the same day but in two different sessions.

  • The Exam will be conducted through Offline Mode.
  • The examination will be based on objective-type questions.
  • There will be 2 papers with no negative marking.
  • The first paper consisted of 50 questions which are compulsory to do.
  • The second consisted of 100 questions which are compulsory to attempt.

MH SET 2023 Admit Card:

MH SET 2023 Admit card can be downloaded from the official website. Candidates are required to carry their Admit Card to the exam venue. This card will be facilitated before the exam date. This card consisted of important information such as venue and day, exam date and time, roll number, and seat number, etc. Download the admit card by submitting a password and username in the required field. No candidate can enter the examination hall without admit card.

Answer Key:

The answer key will let candidates know the marks or scores of the MH SET Examination. The candidate will get an idea of the marks and can check the answers written in the test through the answer key.

Exam Result:

SET Exam Result 2023 will be announced on the official website. The result will be announced after a month or even less than after the date of the examination. Download the result by using login information such as roll no and password.

Selection Process:

MH SET Selection process will consist of two rounds – Written Exam and Interview. Those who clear the Written Examination will be called for an Interview to be commenced at the final round of selection.

Students will be selected based on the marks attained and those who acquire higher scores will be called for the next round and then will be called for the further selection process.
