NHTET 2023NHTET 2023: NHTET or National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by NCHMCT or National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. This national level eligibility test is organised for the employment of Associate Lecturer and Training Associates in NCHMCT in collaboration with IHMs. The authorized authority issues the notice on the certified website. To avail the Application form, the desiring candidates must log in to the authorized website.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All applicants must have a graduation degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration. Applicants must score 60% marks in their Graduation degree. Other than this they must have 2 years of relevant experience in their respective domain.
  • Aspirants can also have Post Graduation Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration from any renowned university. They must have scored 60% marks in their PG degree.
  • The applicants need to qualify for the former examination in order to apply for this entrance test.

NHTET 2023 Application Form:

Using the online method applicants can download the application form from the certified web portal of THIMS/ Tourism & Hospitality Institute Management System. Before downloading the application form contenders must check the directives suggested in the booklet. Only by following certain easy steps applicants can fill the application form for NHTET 2023. Registration is mandatory for all desiring candidates. After providing the requisite details viz. name, mail id, contact number, etc applicants can fill and submit the application form without any hassles.

Application Fee:

  • For GEN and OBC applicants the application fee will be Rs. 800.
  • Rs.400/- is the application fee for PD or SC or ST applicants.

Exam Pattern:

  • The admission test will be conducted via an offline method.
  • The entrance examination will have three papers.
  • Applicants have to answer Multiple Choice Questions in the entrance test.
  • Two marks will be awarded for each accurate entry.
  • ½ mark will be subtracted for each incorrect entry or for unattempted questions & for twice attempted ones.
  • Generally, the exam takes place every year for a single time. But due to certain conditions, the exam is organised twice a year.

Paper 1:

The first paper is intended to evaluate the skill of the applicants towards cognitive ability, training, rational thinking, intellectual capacity and general consciousness.

Paper I will consist of 50 questions for 100 marks.

Paper II:

The entrance will have of 50 MCQ questions from Nutrition, Food Science, General Management, Financial Management, hotel accounts and Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Economics and Sales and Marketing.

Paper III:

The entrance shall have 100 MCQ questions from Food Production, House Keeping Management, F & B Service and Management and Accommodation Operation Management.

Cut off Marks:

  • For Associate Lecturer and Teaching Associates post applicants need to score 45% in Paper I and II. For Paper II the qualifying mark is 50%. Successful candidates need to score 50 % in aggregate.
  • For Candidates belonging to ST or SC or PWD category 40 % score in both Ist and 2nd paper is desirable. 45% score is necessary for 3rd paper. 45% of marks in aggregate are mandatory for qualified applicants.
  • For the post of teaching associates, applicants need to score 40% in both 1st and 2nd paper while in the 3rd paper the qualifying score is 45%. An aggregate with 45% is required from candidates belonging to the general category.
  • For Candidates belonging to ST or SC or PWD category 35 % score in both Ist and 2nd paper is desirable. 45% score is necessary for 3rd paper. 40% of marks in aggregate are mandatory for the qualified applicants belonging to this category.

Syllabus:

  • Ist Paper focuses on Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Divergent Thinking Comprehension.
  • IInd Paper deals with General Management, Hotel Accounts, Nutrition,
  • Food Science.
  • IIIrd Paper concentrates on F & B Service and Management, Food Production, House Keeping Management, Accommodation Operation Management.

Admit Card:

An applicant can avail NHTET 2023 admit card from the certified website. With registration id and password, applicants can get their respective admit cards. The accessibility of hall pass will be announced in the official web portal. Candidates cannot have it via any offline method. All applicants need to take their admit card to the examination hall in order to seat for the entrance.

Answer Key:

Applicants can object to any answer key provided by the authority by sending a mail to them. The final answer key will come up after all objections have been sorted. The revised answer sheet will be announced within the next 4 functioning days.

Result:

The result will be announced in two separate PDF format with names of both successful and unsuccessful candidates. The result is prepared to depend on the final answer key. Document Verification takes place for successful candidates immediately after the results are announced. Any candidates with any invalid documents will be dismissed from the entire process of employment.
