NIFT Admission 2024 Application Form:

The availability of the NIFT 2024 Application Form has been started from December. There is an online mode available for filling the application form. There will be no proviso-like printed form at all. Along with the application form, make a payment of Rs 5000/-as the payment for the application fee. After the form is filled, ensure to take the printout of the application form for further ease. Make sure for retaining the payment proof.

Steps to Apply For NIFT 2024:

  • Visit the official website of NIFT i.e, https://applyadmission.net/
  • Then on the homepage click on the “New login” link.
  • Fill in basic details such as name, DOB, mail Id, contact number, etc.
  • Then the candidate will receive a verification code in your registered ID & number.
  • Now log in using “login credentials”.
  • Fill in all the other details & complete your registration process.
  • Upload passport size photograph & signature in JPG/ JPEG format.
  • Now proceed to submit the registration fee as per your category.
  • After fee submission, click on the submit option.
  • At last, print the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee:

  • GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy layer) needs to pay Rs. 1500/-
  • PHP/SC/ST Category candidates need to make a payment of Rs. 750/-

Modes of Making Payment for Application Fee:

  • Credit or Debit Card
  • Demand Draft
  • If you are opting for DD then it must be issued in the favor of ‘NIFT HO’ payable in New Delhi. Also, ensure that DD needs to be sent duly completed with the application at the mentioned address

For Under Graduate Courses:

  • Those who are applying for B.Des must have completed their class 12th from some recognized board or central board like CISCE or CBSE or some other Or
  • Must have obtained GCE or General Certificate Education exam (Sri-Lanka / London/Cambridge/) at advanced level (A) level or IB (International Baccalaureate)
  • Any Public School/ University/ Board Exam equivalent as 12th from India or from some foreign universities recognized by AIU
  • Must have passed or appeared in Senior Secondary School Exam commenced by NOS (National Open School)with minimum possible five subjects.
  • Must have 3 years diploma from a recognized institution.

For B.F.Tech:

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th from the state board or central board with subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
  • Those who are holding Candidates holding a diploma of 3 years in any branch of engineering are also eligible to apply.

 Age Criteria applicable For UG Courses:

The maximum possible age limit applicable for undergraduate-level courses is 23 years as of Oct 01, 2024. However, there will be an age relaxation of 5 years in the category of PHP/ST/SC.

For PG Courses:

B.Des:

  • The candidate must have attained a B.Des degree from some recognized institution.
  • Must have acquired a diploma in UG Design from NID or NIFT
  • Must have attained an undergraduate diploma of 3-years from NID or NIFT. Those who are appearing in the course can also apply for the NIFT 2024

MFM:

  • Must have attained an undergraduate degree from some recognized institution
  • Must have attained a diploma of 3-years from NID/NIFT. Those who are appearing in the course can also apply for the course

M.F.Tech:

  • The candidate must have attained a B.Tech/B.E. degree from some recognized institution. Those who are appearing in the course can also apply for NIFT 2024

Age Criteria applicable For PG Courses:

There is no age limit for Post Graduation courses.

Provision of Courses Via NIFT Entrance Exam:

  • Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech)
  • Master of Fashion Management (MFM)
  • Master of Design (M.Des)
  • Bachelor of Design (B.Des)
  • Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech)

Exam Pattern:

The NIFT 2024 exam pattern consisted of CAT, GAT, and GD/PI. A detailed account of the tests mentioned here:

  • General Ability: GAT or General Ability Test for all the courses will be provided by NIFT. For the courses such as B.Des and M. Des, GAT is the prerequisite test used for selection in NIFT. Post GAT, B.Des, and M.Des, applicants require to pass the CAT test. Those who qualify for both of the written tests can apply for situation test (B.Des) and GD/PI (M.Des)
  • While applying for B.F.Tech, GAT is the only test that one needs to go through. Those who are applying for MFM & M.F.Tech, need to participate in GD/PI after the qualifying GAT test.
  • Mode for Exam: All the courses, GAT will commence in offline mode
  • Duration for Exam: Written-test for GAT written will take 2 hours (including M.Des & B.Des) and 3 hours duration for B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM
  • Question Criteria: There will be 100 questions for GAT and 120 questions for M.Des.
  • Language: The question paper will appear in the English language only
  • Papers: For M.Des and B.Des, two written exams will be commenced which implies GAT & CAT. For B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM, GAT will commence.
  • Marking Scheme: There will be no provision for negative marking.

  • General Ability Test (GAT) consisted of Communication Ability, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Current Affairs for B.Des & M.Des courses.
  •  GAT for MFM, B.F.Tech and M.F.Tech comprises Analytical & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs & Case Study Communication Ability & English Comprehension
  • CAT for M.Des & B.Des test is commenced to check the inventive and creative ability of candidates in designing. As far as situation test concern, it commences evaluating the skills for innovative ability and material handling. There will be a group discussion round as well on the case study.

NIFT Admit Card:

Candidates get the NIFT 2024 Admit Card through online mode. Admit card available on February 2024. Authority will not send the Admit Card via post or Courier. If you are facing a problem downloading the admit card you can contact the NIFT Office.

Steps to Download NIFT 2024 Admit Card:

  • Visit the official website of NIFT 2024.
  • On the Homepage click on “Admit Card for written Exam Admission 2024
  • Then enter “Application Number”, “Date of Birth” & “Email ID”.
  • After filling in all the details, click on the submit button.
  • Then Download the Admit Card.

NIFT Result:

  • Candidates who give the successfully written exam can check the NIFT Result through Online Mode. The result has been announced on March 2024.
  • After the Result Announce authority will send the call letter for Group Discussion, Interview, and situation test. The final result will be declared in June 2024.

Steps to Check the NIFT Result 2024:

  • Visit the official website of NIFT.
  • On the Homepage, Check the Admission section and click on the Result.
  • Then a result page will be opened on the screen.
  • Enter roll number, date of birth & application number.
  • Then, click on the “Submit” button.
  • The result will appear on the computer screen.
  • Check it & download it for further process.
