PDPU M.Tech Admission 2023PDPU M.Tech Admission 2023: Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, abbreviated as PDPU was established by Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute by enacting the state act in 2008 to impart education and to flourish the discipline of Petroleum studies. Energy and its infrastructure is very significant for any economy to develop and this fact was recognized by the State and it paves the way for the establishment of Pandit Deendayal University. Like every year University issues notification for PDPU M.Tech Admission and the aspirants looking to get admitted in the course can check the notification issued by the University. PDPU M.Tech Admission will be offered on two bases – Candidates who appear for the GATE exam and second for those who sit in the entrance test of the University. This University is truly acknowledged by UGC (University Grants Commission) and a part of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

PDPU M.Tech Admission 2023 Application form:

  • It is highly advisable that every aspirant must read all the terms and conditions before filling it.
  • To complete the application form, all the aspirants have to fill in the required details like – Educational qualification, Personal Information with the personal Email ID and mobile number
  • After getting submitted all the details, like – Personal and Academic, all the candidates need to pay the fees online.
  • The mode of payment to enroll in PDPU M.Tech Admission can be via Debit card/ Credit Card or Net banking.
  • According to some previous year’s notifications, the fees will be 1500 for the aspirants.
  • After the successful payment for the application form, candidates must check all the particulars of their place and after ensuring must save and submit their Admission Form.
  • Candidates have to upload passport size photographs in the format of GIF, JPEG, JPG, BMP, and PNG. The Photograph must not be exceeded the size of 20 kb. The Same case is with the signatures of the applicant, they are also under the size of 20 kb. Both can be uploaded through the scanner.
  • All the aspirants will receive an email along with their username and password after the successful submission of the application form.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All the aspirants seeking admission in PDPU M.Tech must have B.E or B.Tech degree or equivalent with the minimum 60% aggregate marks or they have a score of 6.5 on a 10 point scale according to CPI/CGPA scale.
  • 50% of seats are reserved for those aspirants who have a valid gate score.
  • Aspirants expecting their degree by August 2023 can also apply for the exam.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be for the duration of 120 minutes
  • Question paper will be consisted of Multiple-Choice Questions
  • There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks on one incorrect answer and 1 mark will be given on every correct answer
  • Paper will be divided into two parts-General Aptitude and from Specific discipline in which the student applied.

  • Questions from the specific discipline which a student applied for

Note: It is highly advisable that – at the time of the written exam, candidates must carry a set of self-attested documents (photocopy) of the academics along with the original ones.

Seat sharing quota – 0% Seat for Gujarat:

Students who belong to the state of Gujarat will get 50 % of the total seats or they are reserved for the entrance exam of PDPU M.Tech 2023. However, they have to show their required certificate to apply for the quota.

15% NRI Seat:

To enroll the NRI students, PDPU reserves a quota of 15 % separately to get them on board. The guidelines are framed by the government of Gujarat to ensure this. They need to show the required documents to prove their eligibility.

35% for All India Seat:

The remaining 35% of the seats will have remained reserve for students belonging to all other states or students, not from the state of Gujarat. They also need to show the required documentation to prove their eligibility.

 Selection Process:

Admissions for M.Tech programs will be held in two stages:

  • The first phase is for the direct admission of the candidates. This is for the GATE qualified candidates and they will get shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores
  • The second phase is for the non-gate candidates, who will appear for PDPU M.Tech Admission. They have to go through a written test followed by a personal interview to get selected.

PDPU 2023 Seat Allotment List:

The seat allotment list will be allocated to the candidates for PDPU M.Tech Admission 2023 on some parameters laid by the university rulebook. The basis is – Marks of 10+2 and the performance in the joint entrance exam (JEE) will be considered. On the basis of these marks, the candidate will get the discipline he/she wants to pursue. The seat allotment for PDPU M.Tech exam will be published online and offline as well, so candidates can check on either of the media.
