Punjab PCS Exam Pattern: Punjab Public  Service Commission (PPSC) has been released the official notification for the recruitment of the officer that will be served under the various departments of the Punjab state government. Candidates must have to fill the Application Form through online mode. As we know to clear the exam, we should know about the Exam pattern. Here we will give the whole information about the Exam Pattern.

PPSC Exam Pattern:

The PPSC Exam pattern will have 3 stages. The stage will the Prelims, where the candidates get the objective types of Paper and the second stage will be the Mains exam, which involves descriptive types of questions and the Last stage will the interview.

About Punjab Civil Services Exam Preliminary Exam Pattern:

  • There will be two papers, Paper I includes General Studies 100 Marks (2 Marks Each) for 200 marks.
  • Paper-II will be Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) for 80 Marks (2.5 Marks Each) for 200 marks.
  • Both the papers will be Objective Type with Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The time duration for both exams will be 120 minutes and extra 20 minutes will be initiated to visually impaired candidates.
  • There will be no negative marking in the written test.
  • The question paper will be bilingual and printed in English (Roman Script) and Punjabi script.

Punjab PCS Exam Main Examination:

  • The Mains papers shall be descriptive and it includes seven compulsory papers.
  • The duration of each paper will be 3 hours. Visually impaired candidates will, however, be allowed an extra time of sixty minutes in each paper.
  • Candidates will have the option to attempt all the papers, except the language papers in Punjabi or English medium.

Interview:

The Last stage of the Exam will be the Interview. The interview will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify based on their performance in the main competitive examination and who fulfill the criteria of eligibility. Names of qualified candidates will be arranged in order of merit according to the aggregate marks obtained in the main written examination and the interview.
