South Asian University Admission 2023: The South Asian University (SAU)  is an eminent International University formed by the Governments of eight SAARC countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The prime motive of the university is to establish South Asian consciousness. The degree to the degree holders is well recognized by the governments of all the SAARC countries. However, the university is open for other countries as well including SAARC nations. It offers admission to students in several PG programs. It is important to note that SAU provides admission to students only in PG courses. M.Sc Applied Mathematics:

To apply for this course, the minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline. Besides this, the applicant must have completed 2 courses each of 1-year duration/4 courses each of 1-semester duration in Mathematics from some recognized institute by the Government of SAARC countries with minimum 55% marks.

M.Sc Computer Science:

  • If you are interested to apply for M.Sc in Computer Science, then you must have completed class XII. The applicant also must have done graduation in Computer Science with minimum of 55% marks.
  • It is mandatory for applicants to must have studied Mathematics as a mandatory subject at graduation level and class XII.
  • The degree must be acquired from the institution recognized by the Government of SAARC countries.
  • Those who have completed 2 years of Bachelor’s degree and cleared at least the first year of the Master’s program may also apply.

M.Sc Biotechnology:

  • To apply for this course, the candidate must have studied class XII. Along with this, the applicant must have completed 3 years of Bachelor’s degree (BSc, B.Pharm, BVSc, B.E., B.Tech, MBBS, etc.) in Biological Sciences/ Chemistry/Agriculture and allied sciences; Veterinary and allied sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemical Technology.
  • Applicants must have attained a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  • The degree must be recognized by the Government of SAARC countries.
  • It is compulsory that applicants must have studied Biology in class XII and at the graduation level too.
  • Even those who have a 3/4 year Bachelor’s degree and passed the first year of the Master’s degree may also apply for the course.

MA Economics:

  • Applicant must have done 10+2.
  • Also, the candidate must be a graduate from an institution recognized by the Government of SAARC countries and scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Applicant must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 and graduation level.
  • Those who are possessed with 4 years Bachelor’s degree/2 years Bachelor’s degree and cleared the first year of the Master’s program may also apply for the course.

MA International Relations:

  • Candidate must have done 10+2
  • Candidate must have done 3/4 years of Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks.
  • The degree must be attained by an institution recognized by the Government of SAARC countries.

MA Sociology:

  • Applicant must have done 10+2 and completed 3 years of graduation with at least 50% marks.
  • The degree must be given by an institution recognized by the Government of SAARC countries.
  • Those who have completed 4 years of Bachelor’s degree/2 years Bachelor’s degree and cleared the first year of the Master’s program will also be considered eligible for the exam.

LLM:

  • Applicant must have completed class XII along with 5 years BA/BBA/BSc/LLB degree.
  • Even if the applicant is obtained with 3 years Bachelor’s degree & 3 years LLB or 4 years LLB will also be considered eligible for the LLM course.
  • The candidate must have scored at least 50% marks and the degree must be recognized by the Government of SAARC countries.

The application form for admission to South Asian University is available on the official website. Those who wish to apply for the desired course need to register online at sau.int. Fill the online application form with the correct details. Lastly, submit the fee and filled form before the last date.

Steps to apply: Here are the steps to apply for South Asian University Admission 2023:

  • First, visit the official website of SAU www.sau.int.
  • Go to the homepage of the website and click Admissions Open Apply Now button.
  • Now, click on the Apply Now button so that the registration form can be open.
  • Start filling the application form by using your Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Mobile Number & Nationality.
  • After filling the required information, click on Register Now. This will complete the registration process and generate the User ID.

Exam Result:

The result of the South Asian University (SAU) Entrance Test will be declared on the official website. Those who clear the entrance test will have their names on the merit list. Based on the marks acquired in the entrance exam, applicants will be given the program.

Tie Breaking: The tie-breaking rules are also followed of two or more applicants achieving the same marks.

  • In case, two candidates or more have acquired similar marks then the person who attained higher marks in Section C will be considered in a higher position.
  • If marks in Section C are also tied then marks acquired in Section B will be taken into consideration.
  • In case, if still tie persists then applicants older in age will be given a higher rank.
