Territorial Army Recruitment 2022: The Indian Territory Recruitment Army, shortened for TA is the second line of defense after the Regular Indian Army. The Territorial Army supports relieving the army from the regular army and static duties and assists in civil administration when it is to deal with natural calamities. Candidates will join Territorial Army as Officers and Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO). The Territorial Army Officers (Non-Departmental) is for Ex-Servicemen and Civilians. If you want to apply for Territorial Army 2022 then fill out the Application form. The details about the same are as follows:

  • Go to the official website- jointerritorialarmy.gov.in
  • Now, register online using the official website.
  • Click the careers section >> ‘Join as Officer’ >> ‘Registration’
  • Enter the details such as name, email address, mobile number, and password.
  • Once you fill in the details, the application number will be generated.
  • Go through the instructions and press the ‘Yes’ button

Territorial Army 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: The age to apply should be between 18-42 years.
  • Educational Qualification: Applicant must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

  • Candidates whose application forms are found correct will be called for screening (written exam followed by interview only if passed in written exam) by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) by the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.

  • The written test will consist of two papers – Paper I and Paper II
  • Paper, I will further have two sections – Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics
  • Paper-II will also have two sections – General Knowledge and English
  • Both Paper I and Paper II will consist of 100 questions each.
  • Similarly, both the sections will have 50 questions each.
  • The Paper will be for 100 marks each.
  • The time duration will be 60 minutes for each.
  • The candidate will receive 1 mark for every correct answer
  • The minimum score required to qualify for the exam is 40 marks.

Syllabus of Paper 1:

  • Reasoning: The question paper is based on a simple pattern of numbers, statements, figures, letters, etc.
  • Elementary Mathematics:
    • Arithmetic: Number System: natural numbers, integers, rational and real numbers. Fundamental operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, decimal fraction.
    • Unitary Method: Time and distance, time and work, percentages, application to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation.
    • Elementary Number Theory: Division algorithm, prime and composite numbers. Tests of divisibility by 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 & 11. Multiples and factors, factorization theorem, HCF, and LCM. Euclidean algorithm, logarithms to base 10, laws of logarithms, use of logarithmic tables.
    • Trigonometry: Sine x, cosine x, tangent x when O° < x < 90°. Values of sine x, cos x and ten x, for x = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° & 90°. Simple trigonometric identities. Use of trigonometric tables. Simple cases of heights and distance
    • Mensuration: Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and circles. Areas of figures which can bisect into the figures (field book). Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface and volume of a right circular area of cylinders. Surface area and volume of spheres.
    • Statistics: Collection and tabulation of statistical data, graphical representation-frequency polygons, bar charts, pie charts, etc. Measures of central tendency.
    • Algebra: Basic Operations, simple factors, remainder theorem, HCF, LCM, theory of polynomials, solutions of quadratic equations, the relation between its roots and coefficients (only real roots to be considered). Simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns-analytical and graphical solutions. Simultaneous linear equations in two variables and their solutions.

Syllabus of Paper 2:

  • General Knowledge: The paper consisted of questions from Current Affairs, History of India, Polity, and the Geography of Nature.
  • English: Questions will be from topics such as Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Jumbled Sentences, Para jumbles, Error Spotting, Sentence Correction, and Fill in the Blanks.

The admit card of the written exam of Territorial Army 2022 will be released in September month every year. Go to the official website of the Territorial Army to get the admit card. Enter the credential details and get the admit card. The admit card will have consisted of the candidate’s details and exam information.

Cut Off:

Territorial Army 2022 cut-off marks are the minimum qualifying marks that the applicant needs to acquire to appear in the next round. In addition to the cut-off marks, the exam conducting authority will also release the section-wise and minimum qualifying marks.

Terms and conditions of Service:

  • The territorial Army is a part-time concept with mandatory two months of training in a year and does not provide a full-time career.

  • The commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.
  • Pay Allowances and privileges will be the same as for Regular Army Officers when embodied for training and military service.
  • Promotions up to Lt Col by time scale subject to fulfilling laid down criteria. Promotion to Colonel and Brigadier by selection.
  • Officers commissioned in Infantry TA may be called out for military service for a longer duration depending on the requirement.
