AMU School Admission 2023: AMU or Aligarh Muslim University School will be offering admission to the students of Classes I, VI, and IX. Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest premier Central Universities in India with a unique and rich culture of its own. The University has its origin in a school founded in 1875 by the great educationist, social reformer, and visionary Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The process of admission for the year 2023 will be started soon. It is one of the oldest, recognized universities and it has a culture that is exclusively it is own. This school was opened to provide education to the backward section of the society, especially the people belonging to the Muslim community. However, children belonging to other communities can also take admission to this school.

These schools generally follow the C.B.S.E. / N.C.E.R.T. curriculum. Due attention is paid to the overall personality development of the students and they are encouraged to excel not only in academics but also in sports and extra-curricular activities. The Schools celebrate all National festivals and missions to inculcate spirit of patriotism among its students.

AMU School Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Class I– The candidate should be between 5 -7 years as of March 2023. The date of the application for the birth certificate should be between 1st April 2014 and March 31, 2016. The student needs to fulfill the criteria for the domicile.
  • Class VI– To get into class VI, the student must pass the class V examination from a school that is registered and is also recognized by a particular government authority. If the school is affiliated with a public examination board will also be helpful. The age of the student should not be less than 10 years and should not be more than 12 years as of 31st March 2023.
  • Class IX – To get admission in class IX, the student has to pass the class VIII examination from a registered school or a school that has recognition from the government authority. For registration, it is important to mention the affiliation number of the school on the examination certificate or the mark sheet of the qualifying examination. The age of the student should be between 13 years and 15 years as of March 31st, 2023. The birth date of the candidate can be any time between the 1st of April 2006 and March 31st, 2008.
  • Class XI – It is important to get a minimum score of 45% in aggregate in English, Mathematics, and Science in the secondary school examination certificate of this university or any other examination that is equivalent to it. The age of the candidate cannot be more than 19 years as of the 1st of July 2023.

AMU School Admission 2023 Application Form:

  • To apply, the candidate has to first visit the official website.
  • The majority of seats are for Indian citizens. Only a very few of the seats are for the NRI or foreign students.
  • The candidates can try to get admission in classes I, VI, and IX.
  • The candidate has to read the instructions clearly and then fill in the application form online. The payment also has to be made online.
  • When you are registering online, you will have to provide all the important details including the functional email id. The user id and password will be sent on this particular email itself.
  • The candidate also needs to have a scanned copy of the photograph with a white background, a thumb impression, and also a signature. This photo has to be either in JPG or JPEG format for uploading to the website.
  • The size of the photo cannot be more than 40 KB.
  • There is a test fee or a processing charge for class I is Rs.500, for class VI is Rs.550/- and for class, IX is Rs.600 without the late fee
  • The candidates can make an online payment through debit or credit card or net banking.
  • The candidates who have a physical disability do not have to pay the fee, however, they have to provide proper documents that support their claim.
  • The application fee cannot be refunded.

The Application Form will not be accepted in the following circumstances:

  • If you do not fill up the application form
  • If the form is received after the final date has passed
  • Form received without the fee payment

A Document that the Candidate Needs to Scan:

  • The birth certificate.
  • Applicant must attach the Bank Counter Receipt/ Challan initiated by the respective bank along with his/her application form.
  • Attested copy of Mark Sheet/ Grade Sheet of Qualifying Exam.
  • Attested copy of Documents in support of a claim under AMU Alumni and AMU Employee, if any.
  • Documents that support the claim that the candidate falls under any particular category.

Admission and Fee Structure:

  • The Fee shall be charged in four equal installments.
  • An admission fee of Rs.25.00 is chargeable at the time of admission.
  • The computer is taught in all AMU schools with a fee of Rs.100-/ per month.
  • Hostel and Food charges are extra, wherever applicable.
  • An additional amount of Rs. 200.00 per annul is chargeable towards the Students Benevolent Fund.

Selection Process

The Selection Process will be based on 2 stages:

  • Written Test( 85 Marks)
  • Interview( 15 Marks)

AMU School Admission 2023 Exam Pattern:

For Class Ist:

  • The Written Test shall comprise 25 subjective/ objective type questions in English, Arithmetic, Urdu, and GK.

For Class VIth & IXth:

  • Section-I: It will be of 25 marks comprising 25 Objective type questions (MCQ)of one mark each on Languages (English, Urdu & Hindi)
  • Section-II: It shall be of 60 marks comprising 60 Objective type questions(MCQ) of one mark each with the following break-up:
  • Mathematics: 30 marks
  • Science: 30 Marks

AMU School Admission Syllabus:

The candidates can check out the syllabus for both the postgraduate as well as the under-graduate courses online. Each course will have a different syllabus. The candidates can also download the question papers of the previous year to get a feel for the test.

Admit Card:

The admit card for this examination will be available online from the 20th of April 2023. This is one of the most important documents and the candidate has to carry it to the examination hall.

Answer Key:

The answer key will also be released online. The candidates will be thus able to check their incorrect answers.

Result:

The result will only be declared online. The date of the result declaration will be different for the different courses.

Cut Off:

The cut-off is basically the minimum marks that the candidate has to get to apply for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Once the results are declared online, the university will then declare the cut-off. This cut-off will actually depend on several factors. These factors include the total number of candidates who appeared for the examination, the number of candidates who qualified for the examination, and finally the difficulty level and the number of seats in the examination.
