DNB CET 2023: The authority of the National Board of Examination or the NBE organizes the DNB CET test. This is the test that is conducted for those candidates who are interested to get admission to the DNB CET graduation courses and the DNB postgraduate courses. The admissions will be done based on the NEET PG scores in one session. The candidates can also opt for the post-DNB/MD/MS super specialty courses as well. This is the Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test-Super Specialties ( DNB – CET SS)

DNB CET 2023 Application Form:

Before filling up the application form, it is recommended that the candidates go through the Information Brochure carefully:

  • The application form for the DNB CET 2023 will be available online
  • It is important to ensure that you fill-up the application form carefully. This is because in case the application form is found to be incomplete the form will be disqualified by the authority and they will not entertain any further request.
  • The applicants can choose the examination center as per their convenience.
  • Once the test center is filled the candidates will no longer be allowed to change.
  • There may be corrections allowed in some sections of the form till the last date of submission.
  • The candidates will have to take a print of the application form.

Application Fee:

  • The processing and the application fee is Rs. 4500/- for all categories.
  • You can submit the fee through the payment gateway through the debit or the credit cards issued by the Indian banks.
  • There will be no refund of the application fee if the application gets rejected or the candidate is disqualified for some reason.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate will have to be a citizen of India
  • The applicant must pass the MBBS course that is approved by the Medical Council of India.
  • It is also important to ensure that the candidate is registered with the Medical Council of India or with the State Council.
  • The candidates who are expecting their PG medical degrees or the provisional certificate by the 31st of August 2023 can also apply.
  • It is also required for the candidate to complete their 3 years of Rotatory training by the 31st of August 2023.

Syllabus:

The syllabus is divided into 2 parts- Part A, Part B

  • Part A – Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Microbiology and Physiology.
  • Part B – Dermatology, Paediatrics, General Medicines, Obstetrics, Radiology, Statistical and Biomedical research SPM,  ENT, psychiatry, General surgery, Anaesthesiology, STD, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics.

DNB CET 2023 Exam Pattern:

  • The mode of the examination will be online
  • The candidate will have to answer multiple-choice questions
  • There will be a total of 180 questions in each of the sections
  • The total time duration will be 3 hours and 30 minutes
  • 4 marks will be awarded for each of the correct answers and there will be a negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer.

Admit Card:

  • The DNB CET admit card will be available online only. The applicants will be able to download by entering the user is and password.
  • The admit card for the DNB CET 2023 will be released in the second week of December for the January session.
  • For the session of July, the admit card will be released in the third week of June 2023. It is necessary for the candidates to keep a photocopy of the admit card till the admission.
  • The candidates will have to bring the admit card with a photo posted on it in the examination hall. Without the admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Result:

In order to qualify for the DNB CET 2023, it is necessary for the candidates belonging to the General category to get 50% marks in the aggregate. The candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category need to get a minimum of 40%. The PWD candidates need to get a minimum of 45% marks. The validity for this examination will be there only in the current session and there is no way, you can carry this forward to the next session. The result will be declared on the official website and the candidates will be able to download the form from the official website once the results are declared. There is no option for re-checking or re-evaluation or re-totaling of the question paper. No queries related to the answers, scores, etc. will be entertained here. In case 2 candidates receive the same score then the merit position will be determined using the criteria mentioned :

  • The candidate who has provided a lesser number of incorrect responses in the paper will be in a higher position
  • The candidate who gets higher marks in Part B will be in a higher position
  • The date of the candidate will be taken into consideration and the older candidate will be placed in a higher position.
