GD Goenka University Admission 2023: GD Goenka schools are quite popular all over but the year 2013 brought the GD Goenka University as well. This popular university is situated in Gurugram, Haryana that aims at providing various courses such as Communication, Engineering, Fashion & Design, Architecture, Hospitality, Humanities & Social Sciences, Medical & Applied Sciences, and Education. Presently, the university has provisioned immense courses under disciplines like undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Ph. D. It is approved by AICTE and recognized by UGC, BCI, Council of Architecture, Pharmacy Council of India, and Association of Indian Universities. Eligibility Criteria:

BE: To seek admission in BE, the university offers several Specialisations such as:

  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering

To apply for BE course, the applicant must have completed GATA Class, XII with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. However, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects.

B.Sc.:

  • To do B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the candidate must have done GATA. It is equally important to complete class XII from a recognized board with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects
  • To do B.Sc in Microbiology and Biochemistry, the candidate must have cleared GATA. They must have also completed XII from some recognised board with subjects such as Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as mandatory subjects and Physics/Mathematics/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects.
  • To do B.Sc. in Information Technology, Forensic Science, and Animation VFX, the qualifying exam is GATA. The candidate must have done class XII from a recongised board.

BBA:

  • To do BBA in Finance, Marketing, General Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, the minimum qualification is class XII from a recognized board. The candidate also must have completed GATA.

BA (Honours):

  • To do a BA (Hons) in Economics, the applicant must have completed the GATA test. Along with this, the applicant must have completed class XII or equivalent with subjects such as Maths/Economics from a recognized board
  • To do a BA (Hons) in English, Travel & Tourism, History, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy, French, Italian, Anthropology, and Psychology, you must clear the GATA test and class XII from a recognized board.
  • The Honours degree in Political Science required at least 50% aggregate in Class XII or equivalent with 45% marks in Political Science from a recognized board. For this course also, the candidate must have completed GATA.

BDes: For doing BDes and BSc Design in Interior Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, and Communication Design, the minimum qualification is Class XII. Besides this, the candidate must clear the DAT (Design Aptitude Test) commenced by GD Goenka University.

B.Sc Medical:

  • To do BSc Medical in Health Care and Clinical Research, Nutrition and Health, Yoga, Optometry, and Medical Laboratory Technology, the applicant must have completed GATA test. Also, the candidate must have completed HSC or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and Mathematics/Biology/ Biotechnology as one of the subjects from the recognized board
  • For doing, BSc Medical in Cardiovascular Technology, the applicant must have completed GATA test along with class 12 or equivalent subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects from some recognised board.

BA:

GD Goenka University also provides BA in Journalism and Mass Communication, Film and TV Production, the applicant needs to complete the GATA test and must have completed class XII or equivalent from some recognised board.

INTEGRATED COURSES:

  • To do BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and BCom LLB (Hons), it is compulsory for applicants to clear the GATA test. Along with this, the minimum qualification should be class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • For doing BTech+MBA, the candidate must have completed GATA test. Along with this, they must have done class XII with subjects such as Physics and Mathematics (compulsory) subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects.
  • To do BA+B.Ed and BSc+B.Ed, the candidate must have completed the GATA test. Also, the applicant must have done class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate from the recognised board.

Arch: If you are interested in doing B. Arch, then you must complete GATA/NATA exam. The candidate also must have completed class XII or equivalent with Mathematics as a mandatory subject from a recognized board

B.Plan: To do B.Plan, candidate must have completed class XII or equivalent with Mathematics as a mandatory subject from the recognized board. They must have acquired at least 50% aggregate in Class 12.

BCA, BCom (Hons), BHMCT, and BSW: For any of these courses, the candidate must have cleared GATA and completed class XII from the recognized board.

B.Lib.I.Sc.:candidate must have passed the GATA test and completed class XII or equivalent with 50% aggregate from some recognised board

BPT: The minimum qualification is class XII or some other equivalent exam with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised board. Along with this, the applicant must have completed GATA.

BPharm: Candidates must have completed class XII or equivalent with PCM or PCB and English as the main subject. Along with this, it is mandatory to clear the GATA test.

PG COURSES:

To do MTech, the available specialization includes:

  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Production Engineering
  • VLSI Design
  • Communication Engineering
  • Energy and Environmental Engineering
  • Embedded Systems
  • Power System Engineering

The aspirant must have completed GATA test. Also, the applicant must have completed BE/BTech or some other equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA/MSc or equivalent in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics or any relevant discipline

M.Sc: The MSc course is available in the following specializations:

To do any of the specializations, the aspirant must have passed GATA. In addition to this, the candidate must have completed graduation in the appropriate discipline from a UGC approved university

MA: In MA, various specializations are offered, check these specializations and eligibility criteria:

  • Counseling Psychology: GATA has to be cleared. The candidate should be a graduate in any field with Psychology as a subject
  • School Psychology: Again GATA has to be passed along with graduation in any field with Psychology as a subject with a minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Economics: Clear the GATA test and must have graduation in any field with Economics as a subject
  • English: To do MA in English, clear the GATA test. Candidate must have done graduation in any field with English as the main subject.
  • History: For doing MA (History), clear the GATA test and must have done graduation in any field with History as a mandatory subject
  • Political Science: For doing MA in Political Science, clear the GATA test. The aspirant must have done graduation in any of the fields such as Public Administration/Political Science as a subject
  • Geography: The candidate needs to clear the GATA test and should be a graduate in any stream with Geography as a subject to do MA (Geography)
  • Travel and Tourism: The candidate must be a graduate in Social Science and must have done GATA test.
  • Anthropology: Candidate must have cleared the GATA test and attained the degree of graduation in any field with Anthropology as a subject
  • Sociology: For doing MA in Sociology, the candidate must have completed the GATA test and should be a graduate in any field with Sociology as the main subject
  • Philosophy: The candidate needs to clear the GATA test and should be a graduate in any field with Philosophy as a subject
  • Public Administration: To clear GATA is compulsory. Candidate must be a graduate in any field with Public Administration/Political Science as the main subject
  • Journalism and Mass Communication: For doing Journalism and Mass Communication, first clear the GATA test. Also, the candidate should be a graduate in any field from a recognized university
  • Social Media, Media Management, and Educational Leadership and Management: It requires the candidate to complete the GATA test. The candidate must be a graduate in any field.

Note: GATA stands for Goenkan Aptitude Test for Admission. The candidate must qualify for this exam to acquire admission.

Application Fee:

Along with the application form, it is important to submit the application fee too.

  • Submit the application fee using offline and online modes.
  • If you want to pay the fee using online mode then pay via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
  • If you want to pay using offline mode, then the Demand Draft (DD) must be drawn in favor of ‘GD Goenka University payable at Delhi.
  • The application fee is Rs.1000/- for all programmes.
  • The application fee will not be refunded.

GD Goenka University Entrance Exam:

Candidates need to appear for GATA entrance and those who clear the GATA test or DAT test will be considered applicable for admission. Besides, entrance test, it is important to clear class 12th and national level marks. Those who are willing to seek admission in engineering must have cleared JEE and for MBA, test scores such as CAT/ MAT/ GMAT will be considered.

Exam Result:

The examination result will be announced through the official website of GD Goenka University. Candidates will get information via email or registered contact number. Counselling:

The counseling will take place after the result announcement. Those who are shortlisted will be given the seat as per the scores and rank. There will be the commencement of PI to choose the eligible applicants. Candidates must carry their documents while appearing for counseling for verification purposes.
