Karnataka TET 2023 Online Application Form:

Collect the Karnataka TET Application Form via online mode using the official website by the month of July 2023. Follow the given below steps to fill the Karnataka TET Application Form 2023:

  • Visit the official website.
  • In the Home tab, go to the “Apply Online” link and click on it.
  • Pay the Application fee via TS Online or Net Banking Or Credit / Debit Cards.
  • Fill the online Application form with all the required details.
  • Upload the scanned documents such as photograph and signature in JPG format.
  • The image of the photograph and signature must be in the required size prescribed by the exam authority.
  • After successfully uploading the documents, choose the test center. Select two test centers, primary and secondary.
  • The Exam Conducting Authority will give the chance for making corrections to the Karnataka TET application form via online mode.
  • Check the details carefully and click the “Submit” button.
  • Take the printout of the application form for further reference.

Karnataka TET Application Fee:

  • The application fee for General Candidates will be Rs. 1000/- (Paper I and II) and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it will be Rs.500/- for the Paper-I and Paper-II.

KARTET Eligibility Criteria 2023:

Before you fill the application form, check the eligibility criteria:

Nationality:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidate must satisfy the local/non-local status requirement as per mentioned by the authority.

Age Limit:

  • Candidate’s age must be 21 years as of January 2023 and the maximum age must be 35 years.
  • There will be 5% Age relaxation for the reserved category (SC/ST/PH) candidates.

Eligibility for Lower Primary Level: (Class I – V):

  • Applicant must have successfully completed Senior Secondary/10+2  with at least 45% marks or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Two-year diploma in education (D.El.Ed) / 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Candidate must have successfully completed graduation BA / B.Sc with at least 50% marks and those who have successfully completed B.ED can also apply for the examination.

Eligibility for Upper Primary Level: (Class VI-VIII):

  • The applicant must have successfully cleared Graduation BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and must have completed B.Ed from some recognized University.
  • OR those who are appearing in the final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / B.A. (Ed.)/  B.Ed B.Sc. (Ed.), (Special Education) with 50% marks in BA/ B.Sc may apply for Karnataka TET.

Karnataka TET Exam Pattern 2023:

  • Karnataka TET 2023 will take place in the online mode.
  • The exam duration will be 180 minutes.
  • The paper will have only objective type questions.
  • There will be 150 questions in the paper that a candidate will solve.
  • The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking.

Structure of Paper-I:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Mathematics will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks.

Structure of Paper-II

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies will have 60 questions for 60 marks.

KARTET 2023 Exam Syllabus:

  • The syllabus in the examination will consist of the topics that the authority will decide. Following will be the list of topics:
  • Child Development and Pedagogy includes Understanding Learning, Development Of Child, Pedagogical Concerns
  • The language I will have questions from Hindi
  • Language II will have questions from English
  • Mathematics will include topics such as Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Menstruation, Arithmetic, Sets, Data Handling
  • Environmental Studies includes topics like My Family, Our Body – Health – Cleanliness, Earth and Sky, Air, Water, Our country (India), Our Food, Shelter, Work & Play, Indian constitution, Plants and Animals, Our State (Karnataka), History and Culture of India

Selection Process:

  • The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the performance in the following given sections. Those who successfully clear the qualifying exam in the following sections will be recruited as the teachers in the government primary schools (from I to V class) and higher primary schools (from VI to VII class).
  • Candidates will be examined in both divisions and both papers and they must clear both the papers separately.
  • Paper-I will be for the primary teacher (class 1st to 5th)
  • Paper-II will be for candidates who want to become a teacher for classes 6 to 8

Admit Card 2023:

Candidates will be able to collect their Karnataka TET Admit Card via online mode using the official website of the Karnataka TET Conducting Authority. It can be acquired by the end of the August month of the year 2023. Download the admit card by entering details such as Registration Number and Date of Birth. Make sure to check the details mentioned in the card and after that download the admit card. If you come across any mistakes then report to the exam conducting Authority.
