KTET 2022: KTET is shortened for Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test. This is a state-level examination to test the ability of the candidates who are interested in making their career in the field of teaching. The examination aims at accessing the candidates for teaching in different levels of classes such as primary level, secondary level, higher secondary level, etc. The exam commences every year via the office of the Commissioner of Government Examinations. The exam is organized by Pariksha Bhawan, Kerala, and is commenced as per guidelines laid down by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). KTET 2022 Application Form:

KTET 2022 Application form is easily available through the official website. Make a payment of the application form and fill all the details asked for in the application form carefully. The application fee will be Rs500/- but Rs250/- for SC/ST and other categories.

You can make the payment via online mode using credit card/debit card/net banking. You can also pay via offline mode by generating the challan and submitting it to the nearest SBI branch. Upload the scanned photos and other documents.

Steps to fill the KTET 2022 Application Form:

  • Visit the official website of KTET – ktet.kerala.gov.in
  • On the homepage, click on the “New Registration”
  • Fill in all the personal details such as the candidate’s full name, contact number, email ID, gender, religion, caste, exam center preference, communication address, details of educational qualification, etc.
  • Now, upload the scanned copy of the candidate’s passport size colored photograph in JPEG as per the specification.
  • Then click on Save and submit the form after you review the entire details provided.
  • At last, Pay the application fee online mode via Debit Card/Credit Card or Net banking.
  • Take the printout of the filled KTET 2022 application form for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

KTET Eligibility Criteria for Category I:

  • Candidate must have attained Secondary/Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Trained Teacher Certificate (TTC) by Board of Examination.
  • Candidate must have attained at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education according to NCTE Regulations 2002.
  • The Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

KTET Eligibility Criteria for Category II:

  • Candidate must have successfully completed BA/B.sc/B.com and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/TTC
  • Also, must have done BA/B.sc/B.com with a minimum of 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed
  • Candidate must have successfully completed Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4year BElEd.
  • Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with 50% marks and 4 year BA/B.sc.Ed/BA.Ed

KTET Eligibility Criteria for Category III:

  • Candidate must have done BA/B.sc/B.com with at least 45% marks and B.Ed Degree in the subject concerned from some recognized university
  • Candidate must have completed a BA or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and who passed in LTTC.
  • For Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Physics, those who have MSc.Ed Degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% marks from one of the regional institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT can also apply for the exam.
  • For Botany and Zoology those with MSc.Ed Degree in Life Science with at least 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education can also apply for the examination.

KTET Eligibility Criteria for Category IV:

  • Those who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers, and Physical Education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of Kerala Education Act and Rules can also apply.
  • There will be a relaxation of 5% in the minimum qualifying marks for those belonging to SC/ST and differently able persons and of 3% in qualifying marks for those who belong to OBC & OEC candidates.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the KTET exam.

Selection for Teaching Posts:

After successfully qualifying for the KTET 2022 entrance test, candidates will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs in government or private schools. For choosing the teaching post candidates are required to qualify for the entrance exam and then appear for a personal interview which will be the last round of the selection process. All the shortlisted candidates need to give a demo class of teaching so the educational authorities may find it easy to decide on the appointment.

KTET 2022 Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be commenced in the offline mode
  • The exam duration will be for 150 minutes.

KTET Exam pattern for Category I (Lower Primary Teacher):

  • Child Development and Pedagogy (for 6-11 years) consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Mathematics consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • EVS consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • The language I consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.

KTET Exam pattern for Category II (Upper Primary Teacher):

  • Child Development and Pedagogy (for 11-14 years) consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Mathematics/Science/Social Science consisted of 60 questions for 60 marks.
  • The language I consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Exam pattern for Category III (High School Teacher):
  • Adolescent Psychology, Theory of Learning & teaching aptitude consisted of 40 questions for 40 marks.
  • Language consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Subject Specific (Contents & Pedagogy) consisted of 80 questions for 80 marks.

Exam pattern for Category IV:

  • Child Development, Pedagogy and teaching aptitude consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language (Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada) consisted of 30 questions for 40 marks.
  • Subject Specific (Contents & Pedagogy) consisted of 80 questions for 80 marks.

Note: At least 60% of marks are important to score to be qualified in KTET examinations. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers

KTET Exam 2022 Syllabus:

The Kerala TET 2022 syllabus will be published by SCERT on the official website. The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on the educational psychology of teaching, learning, and understanding children with special needs.

The test items of Languages will focus on the skills connected to the medium of instructions. In the same way, all sections will focus on expertise for the concerned topics.

Admit Card:

The candidates will get the admit card as per the category applied for. Make sure to keep the admit card safely till the entire admission process ends. Download the admit card from the official website. The candidate is not allowed to enter the exam venue without admit card under any circumstances. The candidate is advised to check the admit card properly and if any discrepancy is found, contact the examination conducting body without a fail.

Cut Off:

The cut-off marks will be released on the official website. The cut-off marks will be released after the result declaration. Candidates can check the category-wise marks by entering the registration number and password.

Result:

Those who qualify for the exam will be given a certificate by the State Government and a separate certificate will also be given by the board to those candidates who appeared and qualified for more than one level. The marks will be accessible to candidates on the official website. Candidates can check the result by using their registration number. Just qualifying the written test will end up the process, the candidate needs to appear for the interview as well.

Kerala TET 2022 Salary:

  • Category I will get the salary of Rs14000/-
  • Category II will get a salary of 15000/-
  • Category III will get a salary of 17000/-
