KVPY Registration 2024: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will commence an examination known as KVPY. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is a popular national-level scholarship program till the Pre-Ph.D level. KVPY Registration 2024:

The KVPY Registration 2024 Application will be released in the month of July. Once the forms are released candidates will fill in all the crucial details such as choosing an exam centre, academic details, and upload the scanned images and other required documents. Pay the application fee along with the application form. Fill and submit the application form by the month of August and take a print out for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • For Stream SA: Candidate must have passed class 10th with subjects such as Science and Mathematics with at least 75% marks (65% for those belonging to SC/ST/PWD candidates) Those who are in class 11th can also apply for the examination.
  • For Stream SX: Candidate must have passed class 10th with subjects such as Mathematics and Science (PCB) subjects and attained 75% marks (65% marks for reserved category candidates).
  • Candidates those who are appearing in XII with Science stream from some recognized board with at least 60% (50% for those belonging to SC/ST/PWD candidates) in Mathematics and Science subjects (PCB) are also eligible to apply.
  • For Stream SB: Candidates should have passed 12th class with 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry/Biology (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Those who are appearing in the first year of Under graduation program in Basic Sciences like Physics /Mathematics/Chemistry & Biology leading to B.S./ B.Sc./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. with at least 60% (50% for those belonging to SC/ST/PWD) marks before taking up the fellowship can also apply.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for general candidates is Rs. 1000.
  • The application fee for SC/ST/PWD category candidates will be Rs. 500.
  • The registration fee can be deposited via two modes.
  • Candidate must make use of online modes like credit card/debit card/ internet banking to make payment of the fee.
  • Candidate can make fee payments via through e-Challan also.

Selection Process:

Candidates first will be selected on the basis of a written test and after that they will appear for the Interview round. The exam conducting will give a call for an interview with the only selected candidate. The final shortlisted candidate’s list will be prepared and uploaded on the website.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be commenced via online mode only in languages such as English and Hindi.
  • Candidates are required to complete the paper in three hours.
  • Multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.
  • The question paper will be comprised of 100 marks.
  • Al questions are mandatory in Stream SA.
  • There will be an option to attempt any three sections in PART I and any two sections in PART II in Stream SB/SX.
  • Stream A, questions in part 1 will be 15 and questions in part II will be 5
  • Physics questions in part 1 will be 15 and questions in part II will be 5
  • Chemistry questions in part 1 will be 15 and questions in part II will be 5
  • Biology questions in part 1 will be 15 and questions in part II will be 5

Syllabus:

  • The aptitude test will be created to evaluate the understanding and analytical ability of the aspirant.
  • The aptitude test will be designed to check the understanding and analytical ability of factual knowledge.
  • There will be no prescribed syllabus for the aptitude test.
  • Candidates are required to study the syllabus till class X/XII/1st year of B.Sc. / B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./M.S. as per the selected stream.

Admit Card:

  • The admit card will be provided in the month of October.
  • The candidate will receive the admit card in the online mode.
  • Avail the admit card by entering the application number.

KVPY Answer Key:

You will get the opportunity to fetch the answer key through online mode only. Candidates will be able to attain an idea about marks they will attain in the examination via the answer key. Check the answer key according to the stream that they have given the exam into.

Exam Result:

The result of the examination will be announced in the month of December and it will be released according to different streams SA, SX, and SB.

Cut Off Details:

The cut off will be released for every stream. Once the written exam gets over, cut off marks will be published. Those who meet the marks in the cut off marks will be considered eligible. Cut off will be provided out of 100 marks.
