Maharashtra TET 2024 Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Admit Card

Maharashtra TET 2024: Maharashtra TET means Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test 2024. Every year it is conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination. It is the state level exam. Candidates who want to make a career in teaching can apply for Maharashtra TET. The exam will take place in 2 parts one for the primary level (1st to 5th class) and second for upper primary level (6th to 8th class). Candidates can apply for only one exam or apply for both exams as per their choice. The application form for the exam will available online mode. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age criteria: Candidate minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age will be 35 years.
  • Education qualification: the education qualification is divided into two parts:
  1. For Primary Level (Class 1st to 5th): Candidates must pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 60% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education/ 2-year diploma in education (Special Education) or candidate must clear the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education (As per the regulation of NCTE) or having a bachelor’s degree along with a 2-year diploma in elementary education can also apply.
  2. For Upper Primary Level (Class 6th to 8th): Candidates who clear the 10+2 exam with at least 60% marks and having a 4 years B.El. Ed/ B.A. Ed/ B.Sc. Ed degree is eligible or Graduate candidates having minimum 50% marks with 1 year B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education) can also apply or a Bachelors’s degree with 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed as per the regulation of NCTE is also eligible.
  3. Candidates must have a domicile of Maharashtra State to get benefits in the seat matrix.

Maharashtra TET 2024 Application Form:

The application form will be released online. After checking the eligibility criteria candidates can fill the application form by online mode. Here are the steps to fill the application form:

  • First, visit the official website of Maharashtra State Council of Examination www.mahatet.in
  • Now register yourself on the official website by using valid email id or mobile number.
  • After registration candidate will get their registration ID and password.
  • Then fill your personal details that asked in the application form.
  • Now, upload scanned images of the signature, photographs in the given format and next step Fill category from which you belong to.
  • After that make the payment of the application fee by any of online method like the credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Submit the application form after successful payment.
  • Printout of application form for future reference.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for the general category will be Rs 500/- for one exam and Rs 800/- for both exams.
  • The application fee for the SC, ST and OBC categories will be Rs 250/- for one exam and Rs 400/- for both exam.
  • The application fee can be paid online as well as offline depending on the candidates.

Exam Pattern:

Here is the examination pattern of Maharashtra TET:

  • Paper will be commenced in the offline mode
  • Paper will be consisted of Multiple-Choice Questions
  • The medium of Examination will be English, Hindi, and Marathi
  • The candidate will go through Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • The applicant will go through 150 Multiple Choice Questions
  • It is mandatory to complete the Exam in 90 minutes
  • There will be no negative marking
  • The candidate will receive 1 mark for every correct answer

Paper 1-Examination Pattern:

  • Child Development & Pedagogy will be consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language I will be consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II comprises of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Mathematics will be consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Environmental Studies comprises of 30 questions of 30 marks.

Paper II-Examination Pattern:

  • Child Development & Pedagogy includes 30 questions of 30 marks.
  • Language I comprises of 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II includes 30 questions of 30 marks.
  • Mathematics & Science OR Social Science will have 60 questions for 60 marks.

Syllabus:

  1. Child Development Pedagogy: Child development, Understanding children with special needs, the concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy.
  2. Language 1: Comprehension based question and concept for language development.
  3. Language 2 (English): Comprehension based question in English and Development of language.
  4. Environmental Studies: Air, Water, Parts of Body, Habitats, Natural Resources, Solar system, Food resources, and Care.

Syllabus for Physics:

  • Measurements, Force, Refraction of light, Magnetic effects of currents, Scalar & Vectors, Friction in solids and liquids, Ray Optics, Magnetism
  • Electrostatics, Magnetic Effect of Current & Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter, Electronic Devices, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Current, Optics, Atoms & Nuclei, Communication system.

Syllabus for Chemistry:

  • Some concepts of chemistry, Redox reactions, Nature of chemical bonds, S-block (Alkaline and alkaline earth elements) elements, Alkanes, States of matter: Gases & liquids, Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen, Basic principles & techniques in organic chemistry
  • Solid State, Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, p-Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Alcohols, Phenols & Ethers, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Polymers, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, Isolation of Elements, d- and f-Block Elements, Haloalkanes & Haloarenes, Aldehydes, Ketones & Carboxylic Acids, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Syllabus for Mathematics:

  • Trigonometric functions, Factorization formulae, Circle & conic sections, Relations & functions, Sequence & series, Trigonometric functions of compound angles, Straight lines, Sets, Probability
  • Relations & Functions, Calculus, Linear Programming, Algebra, Vectors and 3-D Geometry, Probability.

Syllabus for Botany & Zoology:

  • Diversity in organisms, Plant water relations, Plant growth & development, Biochemistry of cells, Mineral nutrition.
  • Organization of cells, Human nutrition, Animal tissues, and Human respiration.
  • Reproduction, Biology & Human Welfare, Ecology & Environment, Genetics & Evolution, Biotechnology & its Applications

Admit Card:

  • The Admit card for MH TET 2024 will be declared at the official website.
  • Candidates can download the admit card from the official website by entering the registration ID and password.
  • Admit card will contain details like the name of the candidate, Date of Examination, Roll number, Timing, and venue of Examination.
  • It is necessary to bring Admit Card at the examination hall. Without admit card candidates will not appear in the exam and also bring a valid ID proof with admit card.

Result:

  • The result will be declared on the official website of MH TET 2024.
  • For checking the result candidate must submit all details like roll number and date of birth and then results will be displayed and take a printout of the result.
  • Candidate who will score more than the qualifying marks will get the Maharashtra TET certificate.
  • The validity of the TET qualification certificate is 7 years.
