Manipur TET 2023: The Board of Secondary Education is responsible for conducting Manipur TET or Manipur Teacher’s Ability Test. This test is for the candidates who want to become teachers of classes I to classes VIII in the private, public or the various government schools. The test for both primary and upper primary teachers will be conducted in an online mode.

Manipur TET 2023 Application Form:

The application form will be available on the official website from the month of September. In order to fill up the application form, the candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Firstly the students will have to go to the official webpage of the Manipur Board of Secondary Education.
  • The candidate will then have to click on the registration link and then fill in all the necessary details in the field and then submit it.
  • It is very important for the candidate to read the instructions properly filling up the application details.
  • The candidate will also have to upload the scanned image and also the scanned signature in JPG format only.
  • Once the candidate fills in all the details, he or she will have to review it and then make an online fee payment.
  • The candidate also has to keep the registration number safely for future use.

Application Fee:

The application fee for the candidates belonging to the general category will be Rs.300 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 each. This means the total application fee that the candidate will have to pay is Rs. 600.

The application fee for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category will be Rs.250 for paper 1 and paper 2 each and therefore the total fee will be Rs.500.

The fee can be either paid online or through challan.

TET Eligibility Criteria:

  • The eligibility Criteria for Paper 1: The candidate will have to pass the senior secondary examination with a minimum of 50% marks. The candidate will also have to either appear or pass a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education. The candidate will also be eligible if he or she has completed a 4 years degree in elementary education or a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
  • The eligibility criteria for paper 2 – The candidate will have to complete the graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or have even passed a diploma in elementary education for 2 years. If the candidate has completed a Bachelor’s degree in education or elementary education for 4 years will also be eligible to appear for this particular test. Candidates who have passed B.A/B.SC.Ed in General or special education will also be eligible to apply.

Manipur TET Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

The scheme of the examination for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is given below:

Paper 1 – This paper will carry a total of 150 marks and this for those candidates who want to become teachers from classes I to classes V. There will be a total of 5 sections and each of these sections will carry 30 marks each. The candidates have to attempt multiple choice questions on the following topics:

  • Pedagogy and child development
  • Language I (English)
  • Language II ( This will be one of the many languages that the Manipur Board has recognized)
  • Mathematics
  • Environmental Studies

Paper 2 – This paper will also carry a total of 150 marks and this is for those candidates who want to appear for the examination from classes V to classes VIII. There will be a total of 4 sections of multiple-choice questions. The topics that would be included are:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will carry a total of 30 marks
  • English, which is Language 1, will also carry 30 marks.
  • 30 marks will be allotted for language 2
  • For Science, 30 marks will be allotted
  • For Mathematics, 30 marks will be allotted

Each of the questions will carry 1 mark. The test for paper 1 will be conducted in the morning and the test for paper 2 will be conducted in the evening on the same day. The candidates who want to become the teachers from classes I to classes VIII, will have to appear for both the papers. The candidates belonging to the general category will have to get a minimum of 60% marks and those belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category will have to get a minimum of 50% marks.

There will be a total of 4 alternatives for each of the multiple choice questions and there will be no negative marking.

Manipur TET 2023 Admit Card:

The candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website of Manipur TET. The test center will be mentioned in the admit card. If there are any discrepancies in the particulars of the candidates mentioned in the confirmation page or the admit card then the candidate will have to contact the TET authorities immediately. The candidate has to carry the admit card with them in the examination hall. This is an absolute must and the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test if he or she does not have the admit card.

Exam Result:

The examination results will be published in the official portal. The website will also have all the important updates that relate to the merit list. In order to check the results, the candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • In order to check the results, it is necessary for the candidate to keep the registration number handy. The candidate will have to first log in to the official website.
  • There will be a link that will have Manipur TET 2023 result. The candidate will have to click on that particular link.
  • The candidate will then have to enter all the necessary login details and then submit all those details
  • The candidate will be able to view the result that is there on the screen.
  • The candidate has to check if he or she has qualified and then take a print of the document if he or she has qualified for the examination.

The candidates will be able to get a TET certificate that will be valid for the appointment for the next 7 years starting from the date in which the result was declared. There are no limits to the number of times the candidate will be eligible to appear for the test. If the candidate has qualified for the examination, but he or she is not happy with the score, then one can appear for the examination again. In case the candidate loses the certificate, then he or she can also get a duplicate of the certificate by paying a fee.

  • The first and the most important thing that the candidate has to do is to open the authorized website of the Manipur Board of Secondary Education
  • Then look for the “Notification” section that is there in the home page
  • Then the candidate has to look for the Manipur TET 2023 Exam Key. There will be a download link in the PDF format
  • Then the candidate will have to hit on the link that is relevant and get the answer key
  • Check out the correct answers with your answers and calculate the marks

Cut Off:

The cut off is declared after the results are published on the official website. There are a lot of factors that will be taken into consideration when deciding the cut-offs. Some of these factors are given below:

  • The number of seats that are reserved for the SC/ST/BC or OC categories
  • The number of candidates who appeared for the examination.
  • The number of candidates who have actually qualified for the written test
  • Number of posts that are vacant
  • The cut-off marks for the last year
