Rashtriya Military School Ajmer Admission 2023: The 5 Rashtriya Military Schools in India are located at Ajmer, Bangalore, Belgaum in Karnataka,  Dholpur in Rajasthan, and Chail in Himachal Pradesh. The Rashtriya Military School at Ajmer was established on 15th November in the year 1930 and was known as King George’s Royal Indian Military School. This esteemed military school is managed by the Indian Army. The primary objective of this institution is to offers education to the wards of defense personnel and imbibe a military orientation into the students from a young age. However, there is also a provision for children of civilians to take admission to this school.

Rashtriya Military School Ajmer Admission 2023 Application Form:

The Prospectus and Application forms are available from the Rashtriya Military School’s office. The application form and prospectus also available by post. The candidates have to forward self-addressed envelopes and a Demand Draft, as applicable, for Prospectus and application form.

  • The Demand Draft should be in favor of Principal, Rashtriya Military School payable at Ajmer
  • All the applications have to be mandatorily routed through the Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer and the school does not entertain any other channel of application.
  • It should be noted that the application form should be filled up very carefully. In case any discrepancy is found at the verification stage or at any subsequent stage, the candidate with such a discrepancy is likely to be rejected by the school.

Rashtriya Military School Ajmer Application Fee:

Free Online Tuition for Class 6th Maths:

  • If the Prospectus and Application form is collected from the office of Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer then the charge is Rs.550. The amount is reduced to Rs.275 for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates. However, a caste certificate needs to be submitted for the candidate who claims to be a scheduled tribe or a scheduled caste.
  • The Application form can also be available by post. The candidates have to forward an addressed envelope and a demand draft of Rs.600 in favor of Principal, Rashtriya Military School payable at Ajmer. The amount for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates using this mode is Rs.325 which is inclusive of Rs.50 as postage charges. The SC/ST candidates need to prove their SC/ST status in order to get the benefit of the reduced charges.

Exam Pattern:

  • The entrance examination to Class 6 and Class 9 of the Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer is the Common Entrance Test (CET).  The Exam is held through an automated OMR. OMR stands for optical mark recognition or optical mark reading and is the name given to the process of capturing data marked by humans from document forms such as surveys, tests, questionnaires, multiple-choice examination, etc.
  • Class 6 and class 9 admission is strictly for boys between 10 to 11 years of age and for boys between 13 to 14 years of age as on the 1st of July of the year of admission respectively. Since the school is primarily for children of defense personnel, a six-month relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for the wards of defense personnel killed in the line of duty.
  • For admission to class 11, the candidate should not be between 15 and 16 years of age as on the 1st of July in the year in which he is seeking admission. The class 10 result will be considered for the class 11 admission.

Syllabus:

  • The syllabus for the class 6 entrance examination is the class 5 CBSE syllabus. The candidates are tested for their General Knowledge, Mathematics, English comprehension, the ability to write in English, general intelligence and aptitude. The standard of the test is Class 5 of CBSE board.
  • The syllabus for the class 9 entrance examination is the class 8 CBSE syllabus.
  • There is no examination for admission to class 11 but the board examination result of class 10 is considered as the standard for the evaluation of the candidate.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For admission to class 6 candidates need to have passed class 5 from a recognized school at the time of admission and should be between 10 and 11 years of age as on the 1st of July in the year of admission.
  • For admission to class 9, the candidates need to have passed class 8 from a recognized school at the time of admission and should be between 13 and 14 years of age as on the 1st of July in the year of admission.
  • However, a student studying in Class 5 and Class 8 are also eligible to appear in their respective entrance examinations to class 6 and class 9. They have to pass their respective classes 5 and 8 before admission to the Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer.
  • The school shows the utmost respect for defense personnel who have laid down their lives defending the nation. Therefore, a six-month relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for the sons of defense personnel who have sacrificed their lives defending the
  • The selected candidates to undergo and pass a medical exam.
  • 70 percent of the total seats are reserved for sons of ICO’s and ICR’s of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Ex-servicemen.
  • 30 percent of the total seats are reserved for wards of currently serving officers or retired officers of the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, the Indian Air Force and wards of regular civilians.
  • 50 of the total seats available are reserved for sons of defense service personnel killed in the line of duty.
  • 15 percent of the total seats are reserved for the SC category and 7.5 percent of the seats ST category. This seat reservation applies to all the above categories.
  • The admission process can only be completed after the verification of the authenticity of all documents submitted by or on behalf of the candidate and is also subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.

Rashtriya Military School Ajmer Fee Structure:

  • The fee structure for Rashtriya Military Schools given below is approved by the Honorable Ministry of Defense vide GSL No5(1)/US/D(GS-II) and is applicable till further notice.
  • In the entitled category the annual fees for OR are Rs.12000 and for ICO is Rs.18000. In the non-entitled category, the annual fee is Rs. 32000 for officers and Rs.51000 for civilians.
  • The staff cadets D/Scholars fee is Rs.250 and for Boarders, it is Rs.2000.
  • For the SC and ST candidates in each category, only 25% of the applicable fees need to be paid.
  • The school does not charge any tuition fees for sons of defense personnel killed in action The revised fee structure will be effective from the academic year 2023 to further revision.

  • The details of the examination and admit cards are available with the designated application form and prospectus of the Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer.
  • The examination and interview venue is usually the premises of the Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer unless it is explicitly stated otherwise through notice.

Merit List:
