ACLAT 2022: The ACLAT is Alliance University Common Law Admission Test. The Alliance School of Law, under Alliance University, conducts the ACLAT for admissions to various undergraduate law courses, postgraduate law courses, and Ph.D. in law. The specific courses to which ACLAT offers admission are BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM, and Ph.D. The ACLAT offers more than 400 seats. There are approximately 180 seats each for BA LLB. and  BBA LLB.,  40 seats for LLM., and 20 seats for Ph.D. in law.  Alliance University was established in the year 2010 and its motto in the Sanskrit language means that the strength of knowledge is the light to wisdom and is a sanctum of higher learning.

ACLAT 2022 Application Form:

It is mandatory for the applicants to send the application form and requisite documents by post to the University regardless of whether the application form has been submitted online or offline.

  • The Application Form and Prospectus are available from the Office of Admissions of the Alliance University.
  • If the application is made online, the candidates have to register on the official website in order to fill the application form.
  • As the application form is common to a number of courses, the candidates have to enter their choice of course in which they wish to apply
  • As aforesaid, the Application forms are also available online from the official website.
  • It should be noted that candidates need to carefully fill the details in the application form as any mistake will lead to rejection of the application form.
  • Applicants have to submit their correctly filled application form along with attested copies of the marks sheets and other documents to the Office of recruitment, careers, and admissions, Alliance School of Law at Bengaluru.

Application Fees:

  • The application fee for the regular candidates is Rs.1000.
  • The application fee is Rs.2000 for NRI candidates and the candidates who are citizens from SAARC nations other than India.
  • The application fee is US Dollar 50 for foreign nationals other than those belonging to SAARC countries.
  • The candidates can also pay through a demand draft drawn in favor of Alliance University payable at Bengaluru.

ACLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should check the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for the Course.
  • For the undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility is passing  10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 45 percent marks in aggregate.
  • Those eligibility criteria are reduced to a minimum of 40 percent marks in aggregate for the Reserved category which includes SC/ST and PWD.
  • For the postgraduate courses, the minimum eligibility criteria are LL. B. degree or a B. L. degree or any other graduate degree in Law recognized by Bar Council of India with a minimum of 45 percent marks in aggregate.
  • Once again, the aggregate marks required is reduced to 40 percent for the reserved category.

ACLAT Exam Pattern:

  • The exam duration is 2 hours.
  • There are 200 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each.
  • The total marks of the ACLAT examination are 200.
  • The language proficiency section is of 40 marks.
  • The general awareness section carries 50 marks.
  • The total marks for the legal aptitude section 45.
  • The logical reasoning and analytical ability section carry 45 marks.
  • The total marks of the numerical ability section are 20.

ACLAT 2022 Syllabus:

  • The Prescribed Syllabus for the ACLAT 2022 Examination consists of 6 topics.
  • The topics for the syllabus are General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Language Proficiency, Legal Aptitude, Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning Ability.

Admit Card:

  • The candidates who have duly filled and submitted their ACLAT application form along with the fees can download their hall tickets for the ACLAT exam from the official website of Alliance University.
  • The admit card which acts as a hall ticket for the examination is a mandatory document for being allowed to appear for the ACLAT examination.
  • Any candidate who does not have a valid admit card for the ACLAT exam will not be allowed to appear for ACLAT exam.
  • The admit card can be downloaded from the official website.
  • In order to download the admit card, the candidate has to go to the ACLAT official website and has to log in with his or her credentials.
  • Then the candidate can download and take a printout of the admit card.
  • It is advisable to keep the admit card in safe custody as it is a mandatory document.

Answer Key:

  • The answer key is available after the examination from the official website.
  • Candidates can download the answer by logging with their log in credentials.
  • The candidates can calculate their marks with the help of the answer key.

Merit List:

The merit list is published on the official website.

Result:

  • The ACLAT Result is published on the official website.
  • Candidates are informed that the result for the ACLAT exam will be declared in the online mode.
  • ACLAT result will be declared only after the entrance exam and personal interview are completed.
  • The Candidate has to enter the Roll Number and Date of Birth to view the result.

It is advisable for candidates to not only download the result but also take a printout of the result and keep it in safe custody.
