RIE CEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

If you are willing to apply for RIE CEE then check the eligibility conditions prior:

  • B.Ed Course: Candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in graduation/Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities/Commerce. SC/ST/PwD category candidates will be given a relaxation of 5% marks.
  • B.Ed.M.Ed (Integrated): The candidate must be possessed the degree of post-graduation in Science/Social Science/Humanities from some recognized institution with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. The relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the SC/ST/PwD category applicants.
  • B.A.B.Ed: Those who have completed +2/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent exams in Science and Commerce streams or Arts streams with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate may apply. The relaxation of 5% marks will be provisioned to SC/ST/PwD category candidates.

B.Sc.B.Ed:

  • Those who are attaining admission to Physical Science Group must have cleared Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M for Mathematics or Statistics) and those who are attaining admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have cleared Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B here for Biology or Biotechnology) in class XII.
  • Applicants must have cleared class XII /Hr. Sec./Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination. However, a relaxation of 5% marks will be provisioned to SC/ST/PwD category candidates. The qualifying exam must be recognized by the affiliating universities of the RIEs.
  • Those who have cleared +2/Hr. Sec./Sr. Sec. or any equivalent exam or appearing may also apply.

M.Ed

  • Aspirants attaining admission to M.Ed. Programme must have acquired at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade and the relaxation of 5% will be given to SC/ST/PwD category candidates in the following programmes from any University/College/Institute recognized by the affiliating universities:
  • B.Ed.
  • BA.B.Ed./B.A.Ed./, B.Sc.B.Ed. /B.Sc.Ed.
  • B.El.Ed.
  • D.El.Ed. with a bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science (with 50% marks in each)
  • M.Sc.Ed.
  • Those who are seeking admission to M.Sc.Ed. (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) must have cleared class XII with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Applicants must have cleared class XII/Hr. Sec./Sr. Sec. or any equivalent exam recognized by University/Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination. The 5% marks relaxation will be given to the reserved category applicants. Ensure that the qualifying exam should be recognized by the affiliating university of RIE, Mysuru (University of Mysuru).
  • Those who have cleared 10+2/Hr. Sec./Sr. Sec. or any other equivalent exam or appearing may also apply.

Exam Pattern:

  • Language Proficiency in English: 20 Questions for 40 Marks
  • Teaching Aptitude/Attitude: 30 Questions for 30 Marks
  • Reasoning Ability: 30 Questions for 60 Marks

Other Aspects of Examination:

  • The exam will be commenced in the offline mode.
  • The applicant will get 2 hours to complete the paper
  • The question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions
  • The exam will be commenced in two languages – English and Hindi

Marking Scheme:

Here is the marking scheme followed:

  • Candidates will receive 2 marks for every correct answer
  • There will be a deduction of 0.5 marks for an incorrect answer.

RIE CEE 2023 Syllabus:
