RTE UP Admission 2023: RTE Admissions in Uttar Pradesh will take place from March so parents must collect the application forms within the stipulated due date or else they will lose the opportunity. The RTE is defined as the right to education. Education is the foundation of modern society and hence there is an international approach to contribute compulsory and primary education to all children irrespective of their socio-economic background. This is the universal right for contributing basic primary education to all children. RTE has the authority to impart free and compulsory education to children as soon as education at the elementary level is completed from nearby local schools. In this stage, children will be exempted from any kind of payment towards expenses or charges which may prevent them to continue their elementary education. The government has the intention to promote 100% education on earth and students of financially weak people of the society will be allotted 25% of seats as a reserved category. The RTE bill was approved in the parliament on 26th august 2009 and the act came into effect on April 1, 2010.

RTE UP Admission 2023 Application Form:

The government has introduced separate links for the need of the candidate for RTE admission The UP government will declare the date of application and similarly the last date of submission of the application form which generally falls within the month of March. The willing candidates will register themselves online on the official website of the state as it is on a state-specific basis before filing admission forms online.

Eligibility Criteria:

For RTE UP admissions students need to follow the below-mentioned criteria.

  • For LK or UK applicants must be 3 years or above but less than 6 years as on Ist April 2023.
  • For Class I the applicant must be 6 and less than 7 years.   Reservation of 25% seats is for poor section of the society
  • The student must be domiciled in India
  • Applications will be state-specific applicant must be a resident of UP state.
  • The annual earning of the applicant’s family should be 3.5 Lakh or less than that.

Documents for RTE-Admission:

  1. When parents do not fall in SC/ST/Category 1, income proof evidence is to be submitted
  2. Record of age proof of the candidate
  3. Residential proof as state-specific
  4. Caste certificate SC/ST if required
  5. Parent’s ID/Aadhar card, ration card, Voter card, birth certificate and passport (any one)
  6. Child’s ID-any valid documents
  7. Photograph of the child
  8. In case of orphan child –the death certificate of both parents must be produced

Selection RTE Admission:

Parent/Local guardians can submit the admission form with all relevant documents to the appropriate authority of a school of their choice. This is a guaranteed entrance for a child to admit to a government school. Under the act of RTE private schools should accept 25% of students. On the basis of the lottery system organized by the state government selection in the RTE admission will be made and the result will come on the official website.

The stages involved are listed below:

  • Firstly applicants need to acquire their application number given on the system. In the already furnished mobile number, the authority will provide the application number and password of the candidate.
  • Every detail regarding the child and parent must be forwarded.
  • Applicant’s parents need to make a list of schools situated within 1-3 KM range from their residence.
  • Parents need to select the class or their child in which they will be admitted.
  • All necessary documents need to be uploaded.
  • The application must be confirmed by the parents.
  • After the completion of the confirmation procedure, the printed version of the application form along with the necessary documents must be carried to the help desk.
  • Those schools which have more vacancies with fewer applications will assign seats to all its applicants.
  • Those schools where vacancy is less will follow the lottery system. The education officer, the representative of the district administration will conduct the lottery.
  • The system will display the selected list of candidates.
  • The admission will take place as applied by parents after the implementation of all essential requirements has been done.

Rules RTE UP Admission:

School authority should follow the following measures:

  • Every candidate will be well conversant with the elementary education which is free as per Act.
  • Clean and separate washroom for boys and girls should be accommodated
  • Distribution of free drinking water
  • There should be a standardized ratio between teacher and student
  • Selection for class depends on the age bar and assistance should be provided if required
  • The appointment of teachers will be done on the basis of laid down norms made by the government. The teacher will be appropriately trained up along with standard qualification
  • With the support of active laws students cannot be discriminated or neglected in schools specially on sex, religion or caste
  • Without the consent of parent or guardian student cannot be expelled or moved
  • Under the purview of the RTE mandate, 25% of students in every class in private schools are to be counted as disadvantaged members of society.
  • Admission is permissible to Orphans, Children with special needs, Children of migrant workers and street workers as per the act of RTE.
  • School uniforms will be provided free of cost from the respective school after accepting all relevant papers submitted by the candidate.
  • Through official procedure and as per norms of RTE the school administrator will issue notebooks, textbooks and stationery with free of cost to the relevant student of the school.
  • As per the parent’s preference application for admission can be submitted to a maximum of 5 schools in the neighborhood.
