AP EAPCET 2023: AP EAPCET is shortened for Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test commenced by conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on the behalf of APSCHE. The entrance test is the prerequisite for admission into professional courses proffered in University/ Private Colleges located in Andhra Pradesh.

AP EAPCET 2023 Application Form:

Interested candidates will apply by filling the application form. Visit the official website to acquire the application form and fill the form in online mode.

  1. Start the application process by paying the registration fee. Submit this fee via online mode or AP & TS online centres
  2. Download the application form and fill in all the details carefully and correctly.
  3. Make sure to seek the print of the application form for further reference.

  • Application Fee: Rs 500
  • Processing Fee: Rs 29.50

Those who want to apply for both Engineering and Agricultural & Medical fields need to pay Rs 1000 as an application fee and a processing fee of Rs 59.

AP EAPCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are suggested to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

  • Candidates must be of Indian nationality or Persons of India Origin (PIO)/Overseas citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders.
  • Applicant must be the domicile of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana
  • The minimum age to apply is 16 years but there is no upper age to apply
  • The entrants applying for B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (FS & T) must have completed at least 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023. The upper age limit is 22 years but the age of 3 years is provided to SC/ST category candidates.
  • Candidates must have cleared class XII or appeared in the final year of class XII with subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, commenced by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or Telangana or equivalent.

OR

  • Applicants must have cleared the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering commenced by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or equivalent.

Exam Pattern:

Here is the examination pattern to appear in AP EAPCET 2023:

  • The exam will be conducted in online mode. It will be a Computer-based test
  • Candidate will get 3 hours to complete the paper
  • The paper will be bilingual – English and Telugu
  • Paper will have 160 Objective type questions
  • The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • There will be three sections on the paper
    1. Physics- 40 Questions
    2. Chemistry- 40 Questions
    3. Mathematics- 80 Questions

Exam Syllabus:

It is important for candidates to check the examination syllabus before appearing on the entrance test. The syllabus includes class XII topics and units studied by the candidates.

Hall Ticket:

The exam conducting authority will release the admit card or hall ticket on the official website. Use the login credentials and avail the hall ticket. Go to the official website and after that click on the “Download Engineering & Pharmacy Hall Tickets”. Login using the Registration Number, Qualifying Exam hall ticket Number & date of birth and click on “Download Hall Ticket”. The admit card will appear on the screen and seek the print for further reference.

Answer Key:

Seek the answer key after the exam gets over through online mode. The answer key consisted of correct answers to all the questions that appeared in the entrance exam. This will help you to calculate the marks scored on the test.

Exam Result:

The exam result will be released on the official website. Use the log in credentials to check the result. It is recommended to take the print of the result for further reference.

Merit List:

The merit list will be released based on the marks secured in the exam. There will be tie-breaking in case of need. Here are the rules:

  • Candidates scored higher total marks will be given a higher ranks.
  • If tie is unable to sort out then candidate with higher marks in the Mathematics section of the AP EAMCET 2023 entrance test will be given a higher rank.
  • If still tie exists then applicants with higher marks in the Physics section of AP EAMCET will be provided with the higher rank.
  • If still tie exists then the candidate with higher percentage of aggregate marks in the qualifying exam will be considered higher in rank
  • Lastly, the candidate older in age will be given a higher rank.

Cut Off:

The minimum marks needed to seek admission to the participating institutions are the cut-off marks to be considered. The cut-off is considered based on several factors such as the number of applicants, availability of seats, the difficulty of the exam, and previous year cutoff trends.

Counselling:

Those who qualify for the entrance test will appear for the counseling round. The counseling fee for SC/ST category applicants is Rs 600 whereas Rs 1000/- for General/OBC category candidates.

The selected applicants will appear at the counseling venue to the fixed date and time along with their documents. Candidates need to lock the choices of institutes and courses to increase the chances for admission. After this, candidates will be allotted with the institute and lastly submit the fee.
