AP PGECET 2024: AP PGECET is shortened for Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Engineering Entrance Test commenced every year by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APCHE to choose the eligible applicants for various courses such as M.E./MTech, M.Pharma, and Pharm.D courses. AP PGECET 2024 Application Form:

  • Once the correct information is filled in the application form, upload the important documents in the prescribed format such as JPG and JPEG.
  • After the successful submission of the application form, pay the application fees. As soon as the application form is submitted, take a copy of the duly filled application form.

AP PGECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Find the eligibility conditions to apply for the exam below:

  • Candidate must have completed graduation
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The Permanent residency of AP state or must have lived for a substantial amount of time in Andhra Pradesh is another requirement.
  • The minimum age to apply is 21 years
  • To apply for Engineering Courses, the applicant must have attained at least 50% and above in the qualifying exam. However, 45% of marks are for the Reserved Category applicants.
  • If you are interested to apply for Pharmacy Courses, then you must have acquired at least 55% and above in the qualifying exam. However, 5% marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST category applicants.

Exam Pattern:

The examination pattern details are very important to know. This will eventually help applicants to prepare in the right direction. Find the exam pattern information below:

  • The exam will be conducted in the online mode
  • There will be Multiple Choice Questions on paper
  • The candidate will get 2 hours to complete 120 questions
  • The paper will be commenced in the English language.

Civil Engineering (CE)

Electrical Engineering (EE)

Admit Card:

The Admit Card or Hall Ticket will be released by Andhra University. It will consist of essential information such as personal information and exam-related details. Steps to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website of AP PGECET 2024.
  • Now, click on the ‘Download AP PGECET Hall Ticket’ and then move to another page.
  • Now, enter the AP PGECET 2024 Registration Number and choose the paper you are appearing for as mentioned in the Application Form.
  • Now, click on the ‘Submit’ tab
  • After this, click on the view and save AP PGECET 2024 Admit Card button.
  • Once you save the admit card, take a print for further reference.

Note: It is mandatory to carry a copy of the admit card to the examination center to appear in the exam.

Exam Result:

The result of the AP PGECET 2024 will be announced through the official website. Make sure to seek the print of the exam result and check the marks scored on the paper. To check the result, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • First, use the login credentials such as application number/registration number and password.
  • Once logged in, check the result flash on the screen.
  • Download the results and take a print of the result for further reference.

Cut Off:

The cut-off marks will be announced after the result announcement. Those who have given the exam may check the cut-off in the online mode. Cut-off marks are the minimum marks required to seek admission in the preferred course. Counseling is based on the cut-off marks set by the university. The cut-off marks are determined on various factors:

  • Several aspirants appeared in the exam.

Counseling Process:

Counseling is based on the GATE/GPAT qualification. Those who have cleared the exam will appear for the counseling round commenced by Andhra University.

  • The separate counseling will take place for applicants with the relevant PGECET, GATE, and GPAT scores.
  • Candidates need to carry their original documents for verification purposes.
  • If a candidate fails to attend the counseling process, the seat will be allotted to the next candidate.
  • For those who have cleared GATE & GPAT Entrance Exam, a separate counseling round will be commenced to proffer admission in the Postgraduate Courses.

How to Apply for Counseling?

  • To apply for counseling, submit the counseling Processing fee based on the category.
  • Go to the official verification center and verify the documents first. After this, applicants can pay the application fee for the counseling and choose the college of their choice.
  • Those who are applying online, need to verify the documents and select the college online, by signing in to the candidate portal.
  • The Counseling Application is based on the category:
    • General Category: INR 600
    • Reserved Category: INR 300
