Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023: Eastern Railway initiated its processes on 14th April 1952. Its head office is positioned in Kolkata. Out of the 17 sectors, the Eastern Railway is one of the important zones of the Indian Railways. Jamalpur, Liluah, and Kanchrapara are the three major workshops of Eastern Railway. Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023 Application Form:

  • Candidates need to go to the official website of www.indianrailways.gov.in to get the application form.
  • Applicants must go through the instruction cautiously in order to fill the application form.

  • Candidates have to provide the application fee and must possess a printout of the filled application form for future use.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have qualified their class 10th, 12th, B.E / B.Tech,  Diploma, ITI, Graduation in any stream, Post- Graduation in any discipline, CA or any other qualification must go through the job openings listed in the official website- er. www.indianrailways.gov.in. Online Applications are requested from entitled aspirants who are Indian Residents for appointment/training as Eastern Railway Trainees under the Apprentices Act. The Applications Form for recruitment in The Eastern Railway 2023 will only be accepted via online mode. The candidates, willing to apply for RRC ER  Recruitment 2023, must satisfy the Eligibility criteria for Eastern Railway Recruitment.   • Applicants must qualify 10th standard examination or its corresponding with at least 50% marks from any reputed Board
  • Candidates must have the National Trade Certificate in the informed trade issued by SCVT/NCVT.
  • Finally, the candidate should be physically fit as suggested by the authority.
  • Candidates can apply within  15 years to 24 years of age
  • Age relaxation is applicable in case of ST/SC/ OBC  candidates.

Exam Pattern:

The employment process shall include 1st Step CBT/Computer Based Test, 2nd Step CBT/Computer Based Test, Typing Ability Test/Computer Based Skill Test (as relevant) and Document Authentication/Medical Check-up. Selection is purely on excellence and on the basis of aforementioned employment phases. The question will be objective type with multiple selections and are likely to comprise questions relating to General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks for the examination will be 100.

Distinct 2nd Step CBT will be done for every 7th CPC stage i.e. stages 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with classified difficulty standard. All posts subsiding within the similar stage of 7th CPC shall have a public 2nd stage CBT. If candidates are qualified for an additional one level of 7th CPC stages as per their academic qualifications, they have to appear for common 1st step CBT and equivalent 2nd step CBT for every level of 7th CPC. Questions will come from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks for the examination will be 120.

Admit Card:

Admit card will be issued before the exam commences. Applicants can acquire their admit card from the official website. The admit cards will only be provided to the applicants who have completed the form successfully before the due date.  Candidates must carry the printed admit card downloaded from the website along with them to the examination centre as without a valid admit card he/she will not be permitted to sit for the examination. The admit card will have the candidate’s name, registration number, Date of Birth, date of an admission test the exam time and so on.

Results:

The Railway Employment Cell of Eastern Railway Kolkata is accountable for staffing and selection of suitable candidates in all the Group D Positions for the Eastern Railway. The employment exam for the Group D position in Eastern Railways is habitually based on written examination and PET /Physical Efficiency Test to be organized in Howrah, Central Kolkata, Hooghly, 24 Pgs (S), 24 Pgs (N) correspondingly. The list of successful candidates will be displayed on the official website and also in the local newspapers.

The final employment in the Group D position shall be governed by merit and marks acquired in the written test physical efficiency test and medical test correspondingly subject to the reservation guidelines implemented by the authority for this resolution. Certain factors are also responsible for cut off like the number of candidates applying for the degree, number of successful candidates in that particular year, number of vacancies for the exam, level of question paper etc.
