FCI Recruitment 2022: The Food Corporation of India (FCI) was established under the Food Corporation Act of 1964. It is one of the best public sectors undertaking to ensure the food security of the nation. The initial headquarters was in Chennai, later this was moved to New Delhi. The first district office of FCI was at Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu). Every year FCI conducts examinations for different posts for FCI Recruitment. It will release notification on the official website of FCI. There will be a vacancy for every zone i.e (NORTH ZONE OR SOUTH ZONE OR EAST ZONE OR WEST ZONE OR NORTHEAST ZONE). Candidates can apply in any one zone only. Interested candidates can apply for FCI before the last date. More details regarding the exam are mentioned below.

FCI Recruitment 2022 Application Form:

Eligible candidates can apply for the application form. The form will be filled out online. Candidates need to follow the instructions given below to fill out the form correctly.

  • Visit the official website of FCI (www.fci.gov.in).
  • Now click on the option “APPLY ONLINE“.
  • To register your application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration”.
  • Now enter your Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
  • A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen and your Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent to your Email-id.
  • Fill in all the information carefully and then click on the “SAVE AND NEXT” tab.
  • Now upload Photo (20-50kb), Signature (20-50kb), Left thumb impression (20kb–50 kb) and Hand-written declaration (50- 100kb).
  • Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL submission.
  • Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
  • Click on the ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed with payment.
  • Click on the ‘Submit‘ button.

  • The application fee for candidates in the General and OBC categories will be Rs.200.
  • The application fee for candidates belonging to the reserved categories is not required.
  • The payment of the application fee will be done online mode.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For the post of AG-III (Accounts): The candidate must have a Graduation degree in any field of Commerce from a reputed University or college with high command of computers is required.
  • For the post of AG- III (General): The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with great command of computers is required.
  • For the post of AG- III (Depot): The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with proficiency in computers.
  • For the post of AG-III (Technical): The candidate must have a Graduation Degree in the field of Botany / Zoology / Bio-Technology / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology / Food Science or The candidate is required to have a degree of BE or B.Tech in Food Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Food Science & Technology/ /Bio-Technology from a recognized university by AICTE. The candidate should know about Computers
  • (Civil Engineering): The candidate must have a degree in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with one year of experience.
  • (Electrical Mechanical Engineering): The candidate must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with one year of experience in the case of Diploma holders only.
  • Steno Grade-II: The candidate should be a Graduate along with an O‘level qualification of DOEACC and speed of 40 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. in typing and shorthand respectively or a Degree in Computer
    Science/ Computer Application with the speed of 40 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. in typing and shorthand respectively.
  • AG-II (Hindi): The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Hindi as the main subject and Proficiency in English with One year of experience translating from English to Hindi and vice versa.
  • Typist: The candidate is required to have Graduation or equivalent and 30 W.P.M speed in Hindi Typing can apply for this post. Preference will be given to the candidates knowing bilingual typing (English and Hindi) and Computer knowledge.

Exam Pattern:

There is 2 phase of the exam i.e. find below the FCI Recruitment 2022 Phase 1 and Phase 2.

FCI 2022 Phase 1 Exam:

  • This will be an online mode exam.
  • It will consist of Objective type or Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
  • There will be 100 questions with 100 marks.
  • Each question will carry an equal 01 mark. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth (1/4) of the mark assigned to that question.
  • The marks obtained in Phase-I will not be reckoned in the final merit ranking

Phase 1 Exam Pattern:

  • The English Language will consist of 30 questions with 30 marks and the duration of the exam will be 20 minutes.
  • Reasoning Ability will consist of 35 questions with 35 marks and the duration of the exam will be 20 minutes.
  • Numerical Aptitude will consist of 35 questions with 35 marks and the duration of the exam will be 20 minutes.

Phase 2:

There will be 2 number of papers in phase 2.

One Paper Exam:

  • Paper I, will be only for AG-III (General) and AG-III (Depot).
  • Paper III, will be only for Typist (Hindi).
  • Paper V, will be only for Steno Grade-II.

Two Paper Exam:

  • Paper I and Paper II, will be for {JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL ENGINEERING)}, JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL ENGINEERING), {AG-III (Accounts), and {AG-III (Technical)}.
  • Paper III and Paper IV, will for {AG II (Hindi)}.

Phase 2 Exam Pattern:

Paper-I (Duration-90 Minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions of General Aptitude consisting of Reasoning/General Intelligence,  English Language, Computer Proficiency, General Awareness, Current Events, Data Analysis/Numerical Ability/Data Interpretation for the Post Code A {Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering)}, B {Junior Engineer (Electrical Engineering)}, C {Junior Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)}, F {AG-III (General)}, G {AG-III (Accounts)}, H{AG – III (Technical)} & I { AG-III  (Depot)}.

 Paper-II (Duration-60 minutes):

60 Multiple Choice Questions on Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering for Candidates applying for the Post Code A {Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering)}, Post Code B {Junior Engineer (Electrical Mechanical Engineering)}, to assess the post-specific technical knowledge of relevant stream.

  • 60 Multiple Choice Questions on Commerce particularly General Accounting and Finance for candidates applying for the Post Code G {Assistant Grade-III (Accounts)} to assess the post-specific technical knowledge of the relevant stream.
  • 60 Multiple Choice Questions on Agriculture, Botany, and Zoology (Group-A) or Agriculture, Chemistry, and Physics (Group-B) for candidates applying for the Post Code H {Assistant Grade-III (Technical)} to assess the post-specific technical knowledge of the relevant stream.

Paper-III (Duration-90 minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions on General Hindi, General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Computer Knowledge for candidates applying for Post Code D {Assistant Grade-II (Hindi)}, and Post Code E {Typist (Hindi).

 Paper-IV (Duration-90 minutes) (Subjective Test):

Translation – 2 Passages, one each from Hindi to English and vice-versa or candidates applying for the Post Code D {Assistant Grade-II (Hindi)}. Each Question will carry 60 marks and the maximum marks for Paper-IV would be 120. This online test will be subjective type. Paper–IV for the post of Assistant Grade-II (Hindi) which shall be descriptive would be conducted online and for appearing in Paper IV.

Paper-V (Duration-90 minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions on General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Computer Knowledge (with specific reference to MS Word and Internet) for candidates applying for the Post Code C {Steno. Grade-II}.

FCI Recruitment 2022 Syllabus:

 Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering) (Post Code A):

  • Building Materials: Physical and Chemical properties of building stones, cement (Portland), Asbestos products, Timber and Wood-based Products, laminates, bituminous materials, paints, varnishes, etc.
  • Surveying: Principles of surveying, plane table surveying, theodolite, leveling and contouring, curvature, permanent adjustment of dumpy level, methods of contouring, tachymetric survey, etc.
  • Soil Mechanics: void ratio, porosity, saturation, water content, the specific gravity of soil grains and unit weights, grain size, Atterberg’s limits, soil classification, plasticity chart, permeability, consolidation of soils. Lab tests, moisture content, bearing capacity of soils, plate load test, standard penetration test, etc.
  • Estimating, Costing and Valuation: Estimate, analysis of rates, earthwork, Brick, RCC work shuttering, Painting, Flooring, Plastering flexible pavements, Tube well, isolates and combined footings, Steel Truss, Piles, etc.
  • Transportation Engineering: Types of pavements, pavement materials – aggregates and bitumen, Design of flexible and rigid pavements, bituminous construction, rigid pavement joint, pavement maintenance, Railway Engineering.
  • Environmental Engineering: Quality of water, purification, distribution, sanitation, sewerage, and sewage treatments.
  • Structural Engineering: Theory of Structures, bending moment and shear force diagrams retaining walls, eccentric loads, slope deflection, critical load and columns, torsion, etc.
  • Concrete Technology: Latest technology and uses of concrete, water-cement ratio, workability, mix design, placement, compaction, finishing and curing of concrete, quality control of concrete, repair and maintenance of the concrete structure, etc.
  • RCC Designs: RCC flexural strength, shear strength, bond strength, design of single reinforced beams, retaining walls, and water tanks (RCC design questions may be based on both the Limit State method and the Working Stress method).
  • Steel Design: Steel design and construction of steel columns, beams, roof trusses, and plate girders. Construction
  • Management: Construction scheduling Bar Chart, CPM and PERT, etc.

 Junior Engineer (Electrical Mechanical Engineering) (Post Code B):

Basic concepts, Concepts of current, voltage, power, energy and their units, Circuit law, AC Fundamentals, Measurement and measuring instruments, Electrical Machines, Synchronous Machines, Generation, Transmission, and Distribution of power in different power stations, Estimation and costing, Utilization of Electrical Energy, Basic Electronics, Theory of Machines and Machine Design, Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Thermal Engineering, Air standard Cycles for IC engines, Rankine cycle of steam, Air Compressors & their cycles, Boilers Refrigeration cycles, Production Engineering.

 Assistant Grade-III (Accounts) (Post Code G):

  • The basic Accounting concept includes the preparation of books of accounts.
  • Taxation includes Income Tax and Goods and Services Tax.
  • Auditing: – (a) Auditing concepts and methods, (b) Internal & External audit of companies.
  • Commercial Laws:- (Basic Knowledge) (a) Basics of Contract Act, (b) Basics of Company Act, (c) Basics of Sales of Goods Act,  (d) Negotiable Instrument Act 5.
  • Basic of Computers: (a) Operating System, (b) Browsers, (c) Email, (d) Memory (Internal, External, portable),  (e) Chats,  (f) Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), (g) Networks.

Assistant Grade-III (Technical) (Post Code H)

  • Agriculture: – Statics of Indian Agriculture (Cereals & Pulses), Elementary entomology, Plant Protection, Agricultural Economics.
  • Botany:- Cell Biology, Tissue, Organ & Organ System, Genetics, Plant Classification, Diversity, Ecology, Life Process: Photosynthesis, Respiration, Circulation, Movement.
  • Zoology: – Animal Cell & Tissue, Organ System, Heredity & Variation, Animal Classification, Micro Organism, Insects & Rodents.
  • Chemistry: – Chemical bonding, Organic Chemistry: Basics of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, aldehydes, and acids, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry in daily life.
  • Physics: – Measurements, Basic Physics, Light, Electricity.

The above syllabus for Agriculture, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics are grouped into the following two categories:

  • GROUP A- Agriculture, Botany & Zoology.
  • GROUP B- Agriculture, Chemistry, and Physics.

 At the time of filling up the online application form, the candidate applying for the post of AG-III (Tech) shall have to select any one of the above groups for the online examination Paper-II i.e. either Group-A or Group-B in which he/she wishes to appear in the examination. The option once exercised shall be final and no further changes will be allowed under any circumstances.

Admit Card:

The admit card for FCI 2022 will be released 2 weeks before the examination. The Candidates can download it from the official website of FCI. Intimation for downloading the admit card will also be sent through email/SMS. Once the candidate clicks the relevant link, he/she can access the window for call letter download. The candidate is required to use (i) Registration Number/Roll Number, and (ii) Password/Date of Birth for downloading the admit card. There will be information regarding the exam date, exam center, and roll number of the candidate on the admit card. It is compulsory to bring the admit card to the exam center with your valid original identity proof and passport size photograph.

Result:

The result for FCI 2022 will be released online. Candidates can check their results on the official website for every zone. Here are the steps to download the result.

  • Step 1: Go to the FCI official website.
  • Step 2: Click the link of FCI Result on the website.
  • Step 3: Now submit your application number and date of birth.
  • Step 4: Your result will appear on the screen.
  • Step 5: Now download your result and take a printout of it.

Cut Off:

FCI will release the Official cutoff list for all categories and posts along with its result.

Counseling:

Candidates who qualify for both phases of the exam are invited for counseling with their original documents.
