ILICAT 2023 Application Form, Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility, Pattern

ILICAT 2023: ILI CAT Exam is conducted by the Indian Law Institute every Year. ILI CAT referred to as Indian  Law Institue  All India Common Admission Test. Interested Students who want to take admission can apply by visiting the official page.

They offer seats for PG Programmes, Doctorate Programmes, PG Diploma, or Online Certificate Courses. Application Form can be filled online via the Official website of the University or also offline mode. For LLM programmes they provide 38 seats and for PhD.  8 seats and 320 seats for Diploma courses.

ILICAT 2023 Application Form:

Availability of form starts tentatively in the month of May. Aspirants  can apply online through the official website i.e. www.ili.ac.in

The application form should be filled with the correct details and have to submit before the last date.

Application Fees:

Application fees can be paid Online mode via Debit/Credit card/Net Banking. Application fees for different courses as follows:

  • For LLM Course- Rs. 2500/-
  • For Ph. D. Programme-Rs. 3000/-
  • For PG Diploma- Rs. 2000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

 Eligibility criteria depend upon the courses which are applied for. For Different courses, there are different eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • For the LLM Programme candidates must have LLB Degree with 50% marks from recognised university by the Bar Council Of India or Association of India University
  • For Doctorate Programme candidates must have completed LLM Degree with a minimum of 55% marks from recognized University.
  • For PG courses candidates must have a UG degree (for PG. in labor laws –required  LLB or MA in social sciences)  from recognised university.
  • For online certificate courses, candidates must have completed a Diploma or Degree in any stream with 10+2.

ILICAT Exam Pattern:

The exam is based on online mode and the Question Paper will be objective type each question contains 4 options. The total Time duration is 2.30hrs.

There are a total of 144 questions which are divided into 3 parts i.e.Part one includes English & General Knowledge, Part two includes Legal Aptitude and the last third part includes Subjective Questions on Legal aspects. At each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded or a maximum of 180 marks and 0.25 marks will be deducted at each incorrect answer.

ILICAT Syllabus:

 University provides syllabus as per courses they are offering  which are as follows:

  • Part-1 includes Topics: *Reading comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammer, Interference based questions, General knowledge-related questions based on current affairs.
  • Part -2 includes Topics: IPC, Law of Torts, Public International law, Jurisprudence, Constituitional law, the law of limitation, Commercial Law( Contract and specific Relief Act, Partnership and sale pf goods Act), Environmental law.
  • Part -3 in this part there are four questions that carry 40 marks, subjective type or it is legal writing.

Admit Card:

 From June onwards the university releases notification for admit cards. To download the hall ticket candidates will have to visit the official website by filling required credentials.

Result:

After the examination university will declare the result in June. Candidates will have to check their results by the official website. Candidates will get qualifying status, marks. Qualified candidates will be called for the Group Discussion and viva ather that process merit list will be prepared.

Answer Key:

After a few weeks of examination, officials will release the answer key to all questions. Candidates can check and compare their answers with them.
