Kerala TET 2023: Kerala TET or Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted to recruit candidates or teachers for Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and High School. The Office of the Commissioner for Government Examinations organizes this state-level entrance test every year for aspiring teachers. Kerala TET 2023 Application Form:

Aspirants have to collect their KTET 2023 Application Form via the online method.  Now the application form has to be filled furnishing all necessary details regarding name, address, mobile number, academic qualification and so on. Applicants are advised to take a printout of their application form for further use. No need to post the application form via any offline mode. They need to submit it online within the stipulated due date with scanned copies of all necessary documents. The Application form will only be considered with the application fee.

Application Fee:

After filling up the application form candidates need to pay the application fees via credit card/debit card/net banking An application fee of Rs. 500 needs to be paid with the application form. In the case of ST/SC/physically challenged candidates, the fees are Rs.250.

Kerala TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

 For Category I

Desiring candidates must be qualified in the Senior Secondary Examination with 45% marks. Applicant must possess a 2-year TTC or 2year Diploma in Elementary Education. Else applicants  must be 12th qualified with 50% marks with a 2-year Diploma in Education

For Category II

Aspirants must be a graduate in any stream with 2 years TTC certificate /Diploma in Elementary Education. They can also apply with 45% marks in graduation with 1yr B.Ed degree or qualified senior secondary with 50% marks and 4yrs B.Ed/ BA/B.Sc

For Category III

Aspirants must possess a graduation degree in any discipline with 45% marks and have done B. Ed or qualified LTTC.

Aspirants must have done M.Sc.Ed with 50% score if applying as Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics teacher

For Botany & Zoology: Applicants willing to apply as Botany and Zoology teachers must have 50% marks in M.Sc.Ed degree with Life Science

Exam Pattern:

  • For each category, candidates have to answer a single paper.
  • There will be multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark for every single question.
  • Candidates need to choose the correct answer out of the four options provided in the question paper.
  • Candidates have to answer 150 MCQ questions.

Category I

  • Child Development and Pedagogy/ Mathematics/ Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II- English/Arabic will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language I-Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada will have 30 questions for 30 marks.

Category II

  • Child Development and Pedagogy/ Science/Mathematics/Social Science will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language I-Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada/English will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Language II-(Other than Language I) Malayalam/English will have 30 questions for 30 marks.

Category III

  • Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude will have 40 marks for 40 questions
  • For Subject-specific areas (Content & Pedagogy) will have 80 marks for 80 questions
  • Language: Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada will have 30 marks for 30 questions

Category IV

  • Child Development, Pedagogy & Teacher Aptitude will have 30 marks for 30 questions
  • Language Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada will have 40 marks for 40 questions
  • For Subjects specific paper (Content & Pedagogy) will have 80 marks for 80 questions

Syllabus:

Kerala TET the syllabus is a little diverse for candidates applying for different categories.

  • For Category I candidates need to answer on topics related to environmental studies, Mathematics, Language I(Malayalam or Kannada or Tamil), Language II(Arabic or English), Child Development and Pedagogy.
  • For Category II candidates need to answer on topics related to Social Science, Science & Mathematics, Language I(Malayalam/ English/ Kannada/Tamil), Language II- (Malayalam/ Arabic /English/Hindi/ Sanskrit /Urdu), Child Development and Pedagogy.
  • Category III the candidates need to answer on Language I: (English /Malayalam/ /Tamil/Kannada), Subject-specific areas (Content & Pedagogy), Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude, Adolescent Psychology.
  • For Category IV the examinees have to answer on Subjects specific paper (Content & Pedagogy, Language (English /Malayalam/ Kannada /Tamil), Teacher Aptitude, Child Development, and Pedagogy

Kerala TET Admit Card:

The admit card for Kerala TET 2023 will be announced via the online method. Candidates need to log in to the official website to acquire it. Applicants will get the admit cards just a few days before the exam starts. The admit cards will only be given to the aspirants who have finished the form successfully before the stipulated time. To download the admit card applicants must check the official website and press the link to admit card. In the new window, applicants have to furnish their application id number or date of birth. Applicants can download it after going through all the details provided on the admit card.

Candidates can directly approach the officials for any incorrect entry in the admit card.  Candidates must carry the printed admit card downloaded from the website along with them to the examination center as without a legal admit card he/she will not be allowed to seat for the examination. Kerala TET 2023  admit card will have the candidate’s name, registration number, name of the exam center, Date of Birth, exam time, and date of admission test.

Answer Key:

Answer Key will be released on the official website separately for all the categories. The Answer Key will furnish the correct answers for the questions appearing in the examination. The first answer key will be released primarily but the final one will only be issued only after all the doubts and objections have been sorted out.

Kerala TET 2023 Result:

The Kerala TET 2023 result will be announced on the official website via online mode. Applicants can acquire their results from the website only. Candidates have to log in with their registration number and date of birth to get the result. Entrance-qualified candidates will be called for the PI round. It is advisable to take a printout of the result for future reference.

Cut Off Marks:
