Territorial Army Recruitment 2023: After the Regular Indian Army, the Territorial Army is the second line of defence. The TA’s primary goal is to relieve the regular army of static responsibilities and to help the civil administration in dealing with natural disasters and necessary upkeep. Approximately 40,000 troops have been formally recruited under the Territorial Army through yearly recruitments. Officers and Junior Commissioned Officers are two options for candidates who want to join the TA (JCO). Ex-Servicemen and civilians are recruited as Territorial Army Officers (i.e. non-departmental).

Territorial Army Exam 2023 Notification:

Territorial Army Notification is released on the official website of the conducting body. Along with the notification, the application forms are also released. The application forms are to be duly filled out by aspiring candidates. The Territorial Army official notification also contains information on the number of vacancies released and the last date to fill out the application form.

Candidates preparing for the Territorial Army exam must check the official notification (once released). A separate notification will be released if there is any change in the exam pattern or syllabus of the Territorial Army exam.

Territorial Army Exam 2023 Application Form:

Candidates will be notified with the official notification when application forms are released. The Candidates must fulfil the Territorial Army eligibility criteria in order to fill out the application form. Candidates’ applications will be rejected by the Territorial Army if the candidates fail to fulfil the required eligibility requirement. Details that are needed to be filled in the Territorial Army application form are as follows:

  • Candidates must upload their all Post-matriculation educational certificates and marksheet.
  • A recent medical physical fitness certificate from a primary health center, a government hospital, or a registered MBBS doctor registered with the resp. medical council is required.
  • A copy of identity proof (includes Voter ID or PAN Card or Aadhar Card or Passport or Driving licence etc).
  • Domicile certificate or other proof of residence.
  • For proof of age, a certificate is required (includes Matric or Senior Secondary mark sheet).
  • If already employed in the government sector, then candidates must upload a service certificate along with the no-objection certificate.

Eligibility Criteria for Civilians:

  • Candidates must be fully employed (i.e., have a full-time, stable paid job), self-employed, or engage in a Mainstay Civilian Profession (includes people involved in the necessary community work such as Accountants, doctors, para-medical, etc.)
  • In every way, aspirants must be physically and medically healthy.
  • Aspirants must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Aspirants must be between the ages of 18 and 42 at the time of application.
  • The aspirant must be an Indian citizen.

Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen:

  • Only Ex-Service Officers between the ages of 18 and 42 are eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants must have completed their education and be physiologically and psychologically fit.
  • Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, and other armed forces are not eligible.

Selection Process:

Under Territorial Army recruitment, the selection process for Officers, Civilians, and Ex-Servicemen differ. As a result, we have separated the Territorial Army selection procedure for both postings below for your convenience:

Territorial Army Selection Process for Civilians:

  • Candidates who applied for the Territorial Army exam will be summoned for a screening process. There are two sorts of exams involved in this. The written exam will assess logical thinking, elementary mathematics, general knowledge, and language proficiency. The second round is an interview done by PIB (Preliminary Interview Board).
  • The SSB will administer tests to the candidates who have been chosen.
  • The selected applicants will subsequently be subjected to a thorough health checkup and a physical examination in accordance with Military Hospital’s requirements.

Territorial Army Selection Process for Ex-Servicemen:

  • Ex-servicemen seeking a job position in the Territorial Army will have to go through the screening process. The screening process will include only an interview round. The interview round will be conducted by ASB (Army Headquarters Selection Board).
  • For the final selection, the Ex-Service Personnel will undergo a medical checkup at the Armed Forces Clinic, followed by a police verification.

Exam Pattern:

  • The Territorial Army’s written exam requires a passing score of 40% in each unit. Also, the total marks should be at least 50% on average.
  • For each incorrect response in the exam, there is also a negative marking. And the candidate will receive one mark for each correct response.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hrs.

Territorial Army Admit Card will be released on the official website. Candidates who have registered for the competitive examination will be able to download their admit cards using their credentials.

  • One must provide his or her application ID or username, as well as his or her password.
  • The candidate’s admit card will be available to download when they have submitted their credentials.

Result:
