XIC OET 2022: Xavier Institute of Communication is one of the leading colleges of mass communication in India. Situated in Mumbai this college was established in 1969. Xavier Institute of Communication online entrance test is conducted by this college for admission in the postgraduate course available in Institute. It is one of the biggest private media centers on the continent. This article will cover the admission procedure for the postgraduate courses offered by the institute.

XIC OET 2022 Application Form:

The application forms can be filled online by visiting the institute’s official website. In order to appear in the entrance exam, it is mandatory for students to fill and submit the form before the due date. Forms that will be submitted after the due date will automatically be rejected. Candidate must sell their personal information carefully as if anything is found wrong in the form it will be rejected. Students must check the official website of the Institute for the instructions to upload a photo and digital signatures of the prescribed format. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the form with them for future use.

Application Fees:

The application fees can be paid online through modes like net banking, credit card, debit card, and other means. The application fee is rupees 4000 for each student and it is non-refundable in any case. F1 Student is not able to pay the fee before the due date his or her application form will be rejected.

Eligibility Criteria:

Aspirants must check the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form. The eligibility criteria for XIC OET is as follows

  1. Age of candidate must be 35 and below
  2. A graduation degree(3 years) is necessary for any discipline
  3. Nationality of the candidate must be Indian
  4. Students appearing in final year exam are also eligible
  5. If you are fulfilling All the above conditions then you may apply for the test

XIC OET Exam Pattern:

The institute has decided to take the test online mode. The test will be in two sections. Students will get 90 minutes to complete their tests. The test will be of 150 marks in total. The first section that is objective will be of 100 marks and students will get 60 minutes to solve it. There will be another message section of 50 marks and students will get 30 minutes to complete that. Students that will qualify the test will be called for an online video interview.

XIC OET Syllabus:

The syllabus for this test is not bounded however questions may be asked about simple English. Below are some topics that students must go through before the exam for preparation purposes:

  • Language skills: this section is completely for testing the language ability of the candidate. Questions regarding English grammar will be asked.
  • General knowledge and knowledge of media: this part is all about current affairs and candidates’ knowledge about the media. The student must have knowledge of the national and international affairs and happenings also.
  • Logical and analytical skills: this section deals with reasoning like blood relations, directions.

Admit Card:

The most important document in the Entrance Exam is Admit Card. Entry without admit card is prohibited in the exam hall. If there is any mistake in the admit card then also the student will be not allowed to appear in the test. So, students are advised to check the admit card before downloading it. Admit cards will be available to download as Institute will send to the email of candidates. Admit cards will not be available at any other platform. Admit Card must be saved by candidates as it will be useful in the future for verification purposes.

Result:

Destitute will declare the result on the official website. Results will not be available at any other offline platform. The students who have qualified the written entrance exam will be called for personal interviews for online interviews based on their course. For some courses, there will be group discussions based on which candidates will get admission in the institute. For the other courses, there will be offline counselling, eligible students will be called by the institute on a planned day. Candidates will have to bring the important documents required for the admission purposes. The list of required documents is:

  1. Class 10 Mark-sheet
  2. Class 12 Mark-sheet
  3. Graduation certificate of the qualifying examination
  4. Migration Certificate
  5. Admit Card of XIC OET 2020
  6. Category Certificate (if applicable)
  7. Class 10 pass certificate for verification of age
  8. In case the result is awaited, evidence of appearing in qualifying exams
  9. Self-attested photocopies of all the documents

Answer Key:

After the exam, the institute will upload the answer key on their website. Students can visit the website and download the answer key according to their subjects and can calculate marks before the results.

CUT OFF:

 The institute will decide the cut-off considering parameters such as the number of students who appeared for the exam, the number of seats available, and some other factors.
