DASA 2023 Admission, Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date, Merit List

DASA 2023 will be managed by Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad. DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad. It is basically a scheme commenced by MHRD Govt. of India to provide admission to NRIs and many foreign nationals. There will be proviso for admission into architecture design, engineering, and management courses via GRE/ SAT / GMAT scores. Those who are eligible will seek admission into various IISET, NITs, SPAs, IIEST, Central Universities and several other centrally funded and Premier Technical Institutions. To collect more details about DASA 2023, given below is the complete information:

DASA 2023 Application Form:

  • Candidates can fill the application form via online mode using the official website.
  • Candidates are required to send SAT Subject test scores to MNNIT Allahabad via College Board, USA.
  • Candidates will register via the relevant email address in order to collect login credentials.
  • There will not be any need to send a copy of the application or supporting documents to the authority.
  • Upload all required documents of scanned copies in the prescribed format.
  • After the application form gets submitted there will be no change or editing possible later.

DASA 2023 Application Fee:

  • Make the submission of the application fee via E-payment (debit card/ credit card) or smooth transfer.

Given Below are the details of the Application Fee for Different Categories:

  • For General category candidates, the registration fee will be US $ 300. The fee for the I semester will be the US $ 4000.
  • For candidates of foreign nationals of SAARC countries, the registration fee will be US $ 300 and the fee for the first semester will be US $ 2000

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate’s nationality should be NRI/ PIO/ OCI and foreign nationals.

For UG Courses:

  • It is compulsory that the candidate must have successfully completed classes XI and XII with subjects such as Mathematics and Physics and anyone amongst Biology, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, or Computer Science.
  • Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks (all subjects average of the qualifying exam) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or some equivalent in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates must have been born on or after 1-10-1985.
  • Candidate must have successfully cleared class XII or some other equivalent examination recognized by the Association of Indian University.
  • Those who are appearing in class XII can also apply unhesitatingly are also eligible to apply.
  • Those who have attained at least 1800 scores in SAT subject Tests inclusive of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics as Level 2. SAT scores will then be sent via College Board to MNNIT Allahabad.

Postgraduate Courses:

  • Candidates must be possessed with the degree of graduation of 4-5 years in the Undergraduate Programme in Technology/ Engineering or into some other equivalent discipline.
  • Candidates must have attained at least 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA or some other equivalent in the qualifying exam.
  • To apply for M.Arch/M.Des. / M.Tech/M.Plan, those who are appearing must have attained at least of 300 GRE Revised General tests taken (Quantitative + Verbal).
  • To apply for MBA, candidates must have scored at least 480 GMAT Test scores

Merit List:

  • The merit list will be prepared by the exam conducting authority via online mode. For all the undergraduate courses, the merit list will be created based on the total scores only. Those who have relevant SAT scores by MNNIT Allahabad prior the month of June 2023 from the College Board will be considered valid for the merit list along with the seat allotment process.
  • To apply for postgraduate courses, the merit list will be created based on the total scores of GMAT/ GRE only. Candidates who have relevant scores of GRE/ GMAT by MNNIT Allahabad prior to the month of June 2023 will be considered valid for the merit list and seat allotment process.

DASA Selection Process:

  • The selection process for Undergraduate courses will be completed within four rounds and for post-graduate courses; the process will get over on two rounds. Those who are eligible will be considered valid for round 1 and they need to confirm their option prior to the month of June.
  • Those who participate in Round 1 will have two different choices either accepting or declining the allotted seat. In case, candidates accept, then the allotted course/ institution & provisional allotment letter will be generated. In case, candidate denies, then the rights for further seat allotment in rounds two and three will be no more. They will then be eligible for round 4 and for spot round.
  • Those who have been selected for round 1 or if they have been selected for round 1, will be chosen for round 2 and the same pattern will be followed for round 3.
  • However, for the fourth round, undergraduate candidates will send the relevant SAT subject test score.

Counselling Details:

Those who are shortlisted will appear for DASA 2023. This will be commenced via online mode. Details about counselling will be provided once the merit list is created. There will be a declaration of seat allotment after every round of counselling. This will be allotted according to the choice of the candidate for the participating institutions. The counseling will be preceded as per the availability of the seats. Candidates can appear in several rounds if they are dissatisfied with the previous seat allotment method. As soon as counselling and seat allotment process gets over, candidates will report to the institutions for seeking admission.

DASA Admission Details:

Download the admission letter via online mode. Those who are selected will report to the institutions for seeking final admission. The candidate will then report to the institution along with the admission letter. In addition to this, the candidate will carry original & photocopies of the crucial documents for further verification. There will be the availability of seats for some of the candidates based on their nationality. The candidate will go through a medical fitness examination and qualify to seek admission.
