JEE Main 2022: JEE Main Examination is one of the reputed examinations on the list of competitive exams. It is conducted by NTA. This is the examination for seeking admission into the National Institute of Technology, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Techincal Institutes (CFTIs). This is also the screening test for JEE Advanced Examination which is mandatory for students who are interested in studying at IIT. The examination commences four times a year in the online mode. JEE Main 2022 Notification:

  • 12th July 2022: JEE Main 2022 Application Form has been Re-opened from 11th to 12th July 2022.
  • 3rd June 2022: JEE MAIN 2022 Session II Registration has been started on 1st June 2022.
  • 7th April 2022: NTA has been rescheduled JEE Main 2022 Exam Dates for Session I & II. The exams will conduct from 20th to 29th 29 June 2022 and from 21st to 30th July 2022 for Session II.

JEE Main 2022 Application Form:

The JEE Main 2022 Application Form can be easily acquired from the official website. You can attain the form and fill in all the details. For an application form, the candidate is required to have Aadhar Card. In case, the candidate does not have Aadhar Card then it is not possible to apply for the exam.

In the situation where the candidate has applied for the Aadhar card but has not received it, then enter 14 Digit Aadhar Enrolment Id inclusive with a slash from the slip which will be provided to the candidate while applying. In the absence of an Aadhar Card, a candidate cannot fill out the Application Form for JEE Main 2022. Those who are from the states like J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the details from the valid Ids mentioned below:

  • Passport number
  • Ration card number
  • Bank account number
  • Any other valid Govt. identity number.

The candidate is required to fill in details such as name, marks in the qualifying examination, date of birth, the name of the parents etc in the application form. Also upload the photo, signature, and the father/guardian’s signature. In addition to this, choose the test city where they can give the test. As soon as this part is done, move to the payment section where they need to pay the application fee.

Steps to Apply for JEE Main 2022 Application Form:

Candidates can follow the below steps for applying the Application Form:

  • First, visit the official site i.e, https://jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Then on the homepage, there will be a link for the Application Form.
  • Now proceed to the “Apply Online” option.
  • Enter all the basic details such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, qualification details, etc to register.
  • Then select 4 cities as per your preference
  • Now proceed to provide a valid/ working mail ID & phone number.
  • Upload passport size photograph & signature in JPG/ JPEG format. Photograph size must be between 10 KB -200 KB and the Signature size must be 4 KB -100 KB.
  • Now re-check all the given details in the application form.
  • Proceed to submit the application fee as per your course, preference & category.
  • Click on the “Go payment” option.
  • After submission of the fee, a confirmation page will be generated on your computer screen.
  • Take the printout of the confirmation page.

Eligibility Criteria:

To appear in the examination, exam conducting follows the strict Eligibility Criteria which are mentioned below:

  • Those who are born on or after 1st October 1993 will be eligible to apply for the exam. There will be an upper age relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates.
  • Those who have successfully cleared class XII or some other equivalent examination in the year 2019 and 2020 or those who appear in class 12th or some other equivalent examination in the year 2020 can apply for the exam.
  • Candidate must acquire a minimum of 5 subjects in class 12th to appear in JEE Main 2022.
  • Every candidate will be 3 chances to attempt JEE Main 2022. However, after three attempts, the candidate cannot apply anymore.

Exam Pattern:

The examination is conducted twice a year in online mode. Given below is the JEE Main Exam Pattern:

  • It will be the Computer Based test
  • There will be Multiple Choice Questions in the paper
  • The candidate will get two attempts to appear in the examination
  • The exam time duration will be 3 hours.
  • There will be 90 questions overall.
  • The candidate needs to attempt the paper in English Language only.
  • Every candidate will receive 4 marks for the correct answer and a deduction of 1 mark will be there for every incorrect answer.

  • Those who have successfully applied for JEE Main 2022 will get admit card via online mode. The candidate is required to carry admit card along with an identity card at the examination center. The admit card consisted of following details such as:

Answer Key:

JEE Answer Key will be released by CBSE. It will be uploaded on the official website of NTA. Those who are dissatisfied with the answers can challenge on the official website. There will be a final release of the answer key after challenges have been accepted.

Exam Result:

The examination will be released after the challenges are accepted and the final answer key is released. This will be released on the official website of NTA by the exam conducting authority. JEE Main Exam Result will consist of sores and rank of the candidate which have been attained in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2022 Exam. Tie Breaking Criteria:

  • There might be the case that two students score similar marks and in this scenario, the tie will decide which is based on the following criteria:
  • The candidate attaining higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank in comparison to the person attaining lower marks.
  • In case the above criterion is not met then higher scores in Physics will help the candidate in attaining a higher rank than others.
  • In case the above is also not satisfied then the rank will decide by searching the ratio of positive scores and negative scores Candidate having higher scores will be considered better.
  • In case if the resolution is not possible then the candidate will be given the same rank.

Counselling:

Scores will decide admission into IIITs, NITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). In addition to this, admission to various state engineering colleges will be commenced via JEE Main 2022 Score also. The counselling will be conducted by the JoSaa/CSAB. During counseling, the candidate needs to fill the information such as name, choice of college, address and so on. They also need to make payment for registration at the time of counseling.
