KLMEE 2023: The KL Marine Entrance Examination or KLMEE is an entrance test organised for candidates willing to pursue a B.Tech Degree in Marine Engineering. This 4 years degree course came into being from the month of August 2011. The Government of Raj has registered KLMEE and it is better known for its outstanding academic standards. AICET conducts the examination in offline mode for the candidates willing to pursue a career in Marine Engineering. This article will suffice all information related to the Application Form, Admission process, Eligibility Criteria and so on.

B.Sc. in NauticalScience is conducted for 3 Years. Varied Colleges located in Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Mahesana, Jaipur, Kanyakumari, Dehradun, Udaipur & so on train students in Nautical Science. There are more than 8 courses in Engineering. Even for Medical, there are more than 10 courses and for Marine, it is more than 2.

KLMEE 2023 Application Form:

Candidates can avail of the KLMEE application form from the official website via online mode from September beginning till the end of January 2023. PCM and PCB are the two fields of the KL Marine Entrance Examination or KLMEE. PCM deals in marine courses with mathematics, Chemistry & Physics as core subjects whereas PCB is the medical course including Biology, Physics and Chemistry as the major subjects for the entrance. Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps for acquiring and submitting the application form.

  • Firstly, candidates have to check all necessary information from the official website of the KL Marine Entrance Examination.
  • As registration procedure applicants need to submit all required details about their name, contact number, father’s name, date of birth and email id in the prescribed field.
  • In order to complete the application form the login information viz.the ID and password will be delivered to the applicants on time.
  • The applicants must complete the application form correctly with all the required details before submitting it.
  • Candidates must upload the scanned copies of passport size photographs with a signature in the prescribed format of the application form.
  • Candidates need to make necessary payments as application fee via the online method for the final submission of the application form. The application fee can be paid by Internet Banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card.

KLMEE 2023 Application Fee:

The application fee can be issued by Internet Banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card. Without the submission of this fee, the application form will not be accepted. Candidates irrespective of gender applying for the Marine Engineering course in the mathematics stream have to pay Rs.1000 as an application fee. Both male and female candidates applying for a medical course in the biology stream have to pay the same application fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form.

Marine Engineering requisite:

Candidates applying for the B.Tech course must have at least 60% score in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in their Senior Secondary examination from any reputed board or university. 50% of marks in English are desirable either in class 10th or 12th examination. Applicants must be conversant both in spoken and written English. Candidates must not be more than 25 years when the training initiates.6/6 eyesight is considered as a medically fit for the candidates applying for KLMEE. Colour blindness will not be entertained. Approved D.G Shipping Govt of India will conduct the medical examination of the candidates.

Requisite for B.Sc.in Nautical Science:

At least 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or  55% score in B.Sc. degree or Diploma with a minimum score of  50% marks in English for class 10th or 12th is required. Candidates must not be more than 25 years when the training initiates. 6/6 eyesight is considered as medically fit for the candidates applying for KLMEE. Colour blindness will not be entertained. Approved D.G Shipping Govt of India will conduct the medical examination of the candidates.

Exam Pattern:

The KLMEE 2023 Exam Pattern is vital for all candidates, applying for the entrance examination. Prior knowledge of the Exam Pattern makes it easy for the candidates to know the exact structure of the question paper. The mode for the entrance will be offline. The entrance examination will continue for 90 minutes. The exam paper will be based on MCQ-type questions. Candidates have to answer 90 questions when applying for PCB. PCM applicants also need to answer the same number of questions in the entrance examination. The medium for the entrance will be Hindi/English.

Candidates have to answer for 150 marks while applying for PCB. Marks segregation for PCB is as follows:

  • Physics for 50 marks.
  • Chemistry for 50 marks.
  • Biology for 50 marks

Admit Card:

KLMEE 2023 Admit Card will be issued by the end of  January 2023. Candidates acquire the admit card for KL Marine Entrance Examination or KLMEE 2023 on the official website. Admit card will only be issued to the candidates who have successfully completed the application procedure of KLMEE

Applicants need to type their Application Number in order to avail of the admit card via Online Mode. After downloading the application form applicants must take a printed version of the document for future use.

Result:

The tentative time for the declaration of KLMEE 2023 Result will be in April. Applicants who will sit for the entrance can check their KLMEE Results on the official website through online mode. Applicants need to provide their Registration Number/Application Number/ roll number to go through their results. Candidates are advised to get a printed version of the same for future reference.

KLMEE Counselling will take place for 15 days starting from 1st May 2023. The counselling session will be organised by the entrance conducting authority for the applicants who have qualified in the KLMEE examination. The successful candidates will get a chance to join the counselling session after their names have been announced in the merit list.

In counselling session, all the selected candidates have to be there along with their essential documents required for verification purposes.

The candidates will be enrolled only after successful completion of document authentication, marks confirmation and availability of seats in the institution.
