KMAT Karnataka 2023 Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Date, Eligibility

KMAT Karnataka 2023 is an examination that is conducted by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association. This examination is conducted in the month of July once in a year. KMAT is a state-level management level entrance test and this exam is conducted in order to provide admission to the AICTE approved MCA, MBA and the PGDMA approved programs. This is an all India examination that will be held across 10 cities in Karnataka and Bangalore state across the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidates need to have a Bachelors’s or Masters’s degree from any of the recognized institutes in commerce, arts, management, social science, engineering, or any other equivalent examination.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to score a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category needs to get a minimum of 40% marks
  • The eligibility criteria are based on the UGC guidelines

KMAT Karnataka 2023 Application Form:

  • It is important for the candidates to first fill the personal details including the date of birth, nativity etc. in the online application form.
  • It is important for you to fill in a test center along with the contact details in the application form.
  • A demand draft of Rs.800 would have to be submitted and this has to be favoring “KMAT” payable in Bangalore
  • For future references, it is highly recommended that you keep a print of the application form and the DD.
  • It is necessary for the candidate to read the eligibility criteria before applying.

Application Fee:

The candidates have to pay the application fee online. The application fee is Rs. 800 and you will have to pay it using your debit or credit card. If you want, you can also pay through net banking.

Exam Pattern:

  • The mode of examination is offline, which means it is pen and paper-based.
  • The duration of the examination is for 2 hours
  • There will be a total of three sections- Logical Reasoning, Verbal and reading ability, and Quantitative ability.
  • There are a total of 40 questions in each section
  • The total marks will be 160

Syllabus:

The syllabus for the KMAT Karnataka examination is given below:

Quantitative Ability: This will help in checking the speed and accuracy. It is necessary for the candidates to check out the interest, the percentage, the numerical calculations, speed, time, etc. Some of the topics include proportion, ratio and arithmetic. The candidates will be asked questions from Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry and other parts of Mathematics.

Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension: The topics include Sentence completion, comprehension of passages, synonyms, antonyms etc. There will be questions on vocabulary to test the English language skills of the candidates

Logical and abstract reasoning: The questions in this section would be asked from verbal reasoning, analogy etc.

Result:

The Karnataka Private Post Graduate College Association will declare results on the official website and the net scores and the percentile for the candidates will be mentioned on the result cards. The KMAT 2023 scores will also be valid across as many as 170 colleges in Karnataka. The candidates will also be able to get a hard copy of the result card and in order to do so, they will have to get in touch with the address:

Answer Key:

The answer key will be released online and this will be released on the official website once the examination is over. This will be available for those candidates who have appeared for the examination and this will be available in the third week of July 2023.

Cut Off:

This will be declared once the results are published. It will be declared online. The Cut off will also be released on the official website. In order to check out the cut-off, the candidates will have to enter the login credentials. The cut off would depend on the number of available seats, the previous year KMAT Karnataka Cut off and the difficulty level of the examination.
