APIIT NAT 2022: APIIT NAT stands for Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology National Admission Test. This test is organized via the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology to provide admission to the applicants in several undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, management, and computer application courses such as BBA/BCA/MBA/B.Tech offered at the institute.

The exam is commenced in the online mode and the interested applicants will be able to acquire admission in engineering, management, and computer application courses. APIIT NAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

It is quite important for candidates to be aware of the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Here are the details:

To apply for undergraduate courses, the candidate must have successfully completed Class XII.  Applicants applying for Postgraduate Programs must have successfully completed their degree from an approved college. Eligibility Criteria is explained in detail:

Under Graduate Program:

  • Candidates must have completed Class XII with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
  • Applicants must have studied Mathematics and Physics as Mandatory subjects and Chemistry/ Computer Science as optional subjects
  • Candidates applying for BBA course must have studied English as a compulsory subject
  • There will be 5% relaxation to reserved category candidates.
  • The candidate must be completed 17 years at the time of admission

Post Graduate Program:

  • Candidate must have completed graduation from any reputed college
  • Candidates must have acquired at least 50 % aggregate marks in graduation.
  • Candidates from the reserved category may also apply if they have acquired a percentage of 47.5%
  • Those who are pursuing their final year can also apply.

APIIT NAT 2022 Application Form:

To apply for the examination, use the application form, and submit it through offline or online mode. Check the steps below:

Offline Mode:

  • Download the application form using the official website
  • You can also collect an application form from the APIIT office by paying the amount
  • Fill in all the necessary information in the form such as personal information and academic qualifications etc.
  • Attach the latest photograph in the prescribed format.

After doing this much, send the application form through courier at this address: APIIT SD India, Faridpur Road, GT Road, Karnal Side, Near Toll Plaza, Panipat – 132103

Online Mode:

  • Visit the official APIIT Website i.e. www.apiit.edu.in
  • Navigate to the “Apply Now” link in the Home tab
  • Register yourself using your name, email and password
  • A confirmation link will be sent to the registered email
  • Fill the application form correctly with details such as name, parent’s details ranks secured in the All India Entrance and State Rank, preferred course, category, communication address, educational qualification and work experience.
  • Make alterations in the application form by clicking the continue button
  • Submit the application form after checking all the details.

Application Fee:

  • Submit the application fee of INR 700 using any of the modes- online or offline.
  • If you have selected online mode then use the payment options such as debit card, credit card and net banking.
  • Offline payment can be done via Demand Draft in the name of the university. Else, pay the fee  at the university admission centre

Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern of undergraduate and post-graduate programs is almost similar however, the syllabus will be slightly different. Therefore, check the exam pattern for further ease:

  • The exam will be for 300 marks
  • The candidate will answer 100 questions
  • Complete the paper in 150 minutes.
  • The applicant will get 3 marks on every correct answer.
  • There will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
  • The questions will be asked from both technical and general.
  • B.Tech questions will be based on the subjects studied in class XII
  • For admission in the B.Tech program, candidates must have familiarity with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to clear the exam.
  • Candidates applying for MBA and BBA program need to answer General Aptitude questions i.e.  English, Socio-Economic Environment, Quantitative Skills, Critical Reasoning, and Data Analysis

Syllabus:

The syllabus for undergraduate engineering and management courses comprises of the subjects studied in class XII and General knowledge. Remember the key points:

B.Tech Syllabus:

Questions will be asked from subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The subject wise syllabus is given below

  • Physics: Unit and Measurement, Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Rotational motion and Inertia, Gravitation, Oscillation and Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic effect of current EMI and AC, Optics, Semiconductors, Communication
  • Mathematics: Complex numbers, Matrices and Determinants, Quadratic equation, Permutation and Combination, Binomial, Sequences and Series, Differential Equation, Integral, Geometry (2D and 3D), Vector Algebra, Probability, Statistics, Trigonometry
  • Chemistry: Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry

BBA and MBA Syllabus:

Candidates opted for Business Administration will be questioned on the below-given topics:

General Aptitude: English, Numeric Ability, Socio-Economic Topics, Data Analysis and Critical Reasoning

Admit Card:

Admit Card also refer as hall tickets. This is the most important document for an application that permits the user to enter the examination hall. Download the admit card and seek its black and white print out. It cannot be sent via post or any other mode. The candidate will not be permitted to enter and appear in the exam without this card. It consisted of details such as name, exam center details, exam day/date/time, etc.

Exam Result:

The result will be announced on the official website. For your ease, steps to check result are given below:

  • Go to the official website and click on the link “NAT Result”
  • Enter the application number and the result will appear on the screen
  • Take a print of the exam result as needed for further reference.

Cut Off:

The cut-off is determined by several factors. The university will release the cut-off after commencing the examination. However, the cut-off changes every year. The selection of the candidates is based on the released cut-off list and the merit list will also be released on its basis. The same merit list will be used for counselling and admission procedure. Check the factors for determining the cut off marks:

  • Number of applicants in the specific year
  • Number of successful applicants in the specific year
  • Standard of the examination
  • Number of seats available
  • Cut off can also be calculated subject-wise and used in cases of multiple candidates attaining the same mark

Counselling:

Counseling will be commenced in the offline mode. After the result declaration, the merit list will be prepared and based on the marks attained; candidates will be considered for counseling. After the merit list is generated, candidates will be intimated through email. The email provides information such as counseling time/venue for the interview.

Steps involved in Counselling:

  • After receiving the intimation, arrange all the necessary arrangements.
  • Choose the preferred course and college in advance
  • Reach the venue early for the document verification process.
  • The counsellor will allot the course and college both.
  • Candidates can make a different choice if they wish to
  • Selected candidates will pay the admission fee to freeze the seat
  • There will be the release of the available list of seats for the second round of counselling.
