AIBE 2023AIBE 2023 is the national level entrance exam which is commenced by BCI or Bar Council of India. The examination aims to choose capable persons who can practice law with confidence and intelligence. AIBE 2023 is the examination apt for fetching the ‘Certificate of Practice’ for carrying out the legal profession. Those who pass the entrance test will provide the certificate. AIBE 2023 Registration Form Guidelines:

  • Candidates can apply for AIBE 2023 via online mode.
  • The registration process will start in December 2020.
  • January 2023 is the last month for submitting the application form.
  • While registering, ensure for uploading the documents like an advocate ID card, enrollment certificate, scanned photo as well as signature and disability certificate if needed.
  • The payment of the registration needs to be done via various modes such as SBI Challan. There is no other mode for making payments.
  • One can make the payment after 24 hours of the registration process.
  • Take a printout of the application form for further reference.
  • No copies of the filled application form or any other document needed to be sent to the BCI office.
  • The registration fee is Rs. 3500/- comprised of bank transaction charges as well. The medium to pay the fee is the only challan.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates need to be of Indian nationality.
  • Candidates are required to have completed 3 years or 5 years of LL.B. degree from the BCI recognized law school.
  • There is no minimum percentage needed in the qualifying examination while applying for AIBE.

Enrollment with State Bar Council:

  • To appear in the AIBE examination, make sure that law students get enrolled in the State Bar of Council.
  • Candidates are required to have possessed the advocate enrollment card which is issues via State Bar Council.
  • There is no age limit to apply for the exam.
  • There is no limit to apply to the examination. Candidates can appear a various number of times.

Exam Pattern:

Those who are appearing in the AIBE 2023 examination ensure reading in detail about the exam pattern. The structure of the exam is as follows:

  • The test will appear in offline mode. The candidate is required to mark the answers in the OMR sheet.
  • The question paper comprises of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • There will be 100 questions in the question paper.
  • The question paper consisted of questions from 20 different subjects. The subjects will be divided into various categories such as Category I, Category II. Each subject of category I consisted of 7 questions, in Category II, subjects will consist of 23 questions in all. 23 questions consisted of Part 2 includes questions from 5 subjects of Category II.
  • The test consisted of 2 parts Part 1 and Part 2. The subjects in Category I are included in Part I and subjects in category 2, included in part II.
  • The exam will be commenced in 11 different languages and the candidate can choose one out of the mentioned languages.
  • Candidates are required to complete the question paper in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Those who are disabled will be given 20 minutes per hour for completing the question paper. There will be no negative marking.
  • Category I consisted of Part I with subjects such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, Civil Procedure Code and Limitation Act, Constitutional Law, Contract Law, including Specific Relief, Criminal Law I: The Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure, Drafting, Pleading, and Conveyancing, Evidence, Jurisprudence, Professional Ethics and the Professional Code of Conduct for Advocates, and Property Law, Labour and Industrial Law, Principles of Taxation Law, Principles of Taxation Law.

Syllabus:

  • Subject such as Constitutional Law having 10 questions,  I.P.C (Indian Penal Code) with 8 questions, Cr. P.C (Criminal Procedure Code) with 10 questions, C.P.C (Code of Civil procedure) with 10 questions
  • Evidence Act  having 8 questions, Alternative Dispute Redressal including Arbitration Act having 4 questions, Family Law with 8 questions, Public Interest Litigation with 4 questions
  • Administrative Law with 3 questions, Professional Ethics & Cases of Professional Misconduct under BCI rules with 4 questions, Company Law with 2 questions, Environmental Law with 2 questions, Cyberlaw for 2 questions
  • Labour + Industrial Law for 4 questions, Law of Tort, including Motor Vehicle Accidents and Consumer Protection Law for 5 questions, Law Related to Taxation with 4 questions
  • Law of Contract, Specific Relief, Prop Laws, Spl Contract N.I Ac for 8 questions, Land Acquisition Act for 2 questions, and last Intellectual Property Laws for 2 questions

Admit Card:

The availability of the admit card will be one or two weeks before the examination. The admit card will be provided via offline as well as an online mode from the main official website. Make sure for carrying the admit card and photo identity to the examination hall.

Result:

The results will be announced on the official website Make sure for checking the results through the website only.

Qualifying Marks: To clear the All India Bar Examination to ensure for scoring at least 40% marks.

Certificate:

The candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be awarded a ‘Certificate in Law’ in the law professions. After getting the practice certificate, interested candidates can practice law from any court all over India.
